JJ Crossfield's Cafe & Bar Arnside

Dropped in for a quick drink while waiting for fish and chips at Arnside Chippy. Such a nice atmosphere, brilliant service and stunning views made us wish we could have stayed longer. Pleased to see dogs were welcome and the ale was good (Lancaster Amber). Will be back, no doubt, to try the food!

First time visiting here and absolutely love it.
A stylish, well appointed little place, with a good selection of beers, ales and wines.

Beautifully decorated, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, with very friendly, helpful and attentive staff.
All table service, but it works well here.
Limited menu of bar snacks and pizza's and although we never ate, the pizza's looked lovely.
Fantastic views over the beach, water to the hills beyond.
Will definitely return

We enjoyed this busy bar in Arnside. It has a brilliant view from the front window and is comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had mulled wine which was delicious and had a full flavour. Food is pizza and nibbles so we didn't eat but plenty of people were enjoying the menu. The atmosphere is informal and relaxed and inside was warm and bright. Toilets are worth a mention, unisex spotless and 3 available although I would prefer the one with the urinal to just have a gents sign on it. Definitely worth a visit when in Arnside. We'll be back.

Fabulous gem of a cafe/bar. My husband ate. I just had a coffee. He said the food was delicious, especially the pate. We both had coffee, which was superb. The lovely young lady serving told us the coffee brand….which we have forgotten…please would you re advise? We will return. Thank you. X

We love coming here both for a nice lunch spot and an evening out! I’ve been bringing our little boy since he was a tiny baby and have always felt so welcome with him and they have great changing facilities! The pizza is always excellent too, just what the village needed!

Went in for a cup of tea and managed to sit by the window overlooking the bay. The staff were really friendly and made a fuss of our dog too. Very reasonably priced, lovely atmosphere and good choice of drinks. They deserve to do well.

Really gorgeous place with amazing views - you can see the team has invested in the decor, with more renovating supposedly to come. Great selection of drinks and brilliant pizza. Staff were polite and attentive, and we liked the table service. We always judge a place by the funkiness of their toilets and though it’s a minor point, got to say these toilets are fabulously decorated!

A great addition to the Promenade if you like your 🍺 and or 🍕 while taking in the stunning views across the estuary.

Lovely place to sit and watch the view across the estuary towards the viaduct. Limited menu but everything was lovely. Would prefer a more varied selection of craft beers and I definitely won't be ordering a brew as hot drinks are served in cardboard cups.

A stylish, well appointed little place, with a good selection of beers, ales, wines etc. Comfortable and relaxed, with very friendly attentive staff. Table service is a big positive, preventing queuing at a bar. Excellent pizzas available all week, fresh and tasty, haven't tried the bar snacks but they look good too. As with all good bars/pubs dogs very welcome, (this would be a deal breaker, as we always have our collie with us), but one of their biggest assets is the huge glass frontage with fantastic views over Arnside beach, a perfect spot to see the sunset, the best in the Northwest!

This is a lovely addition to the seafront at Arnside. Love the cosy, quirky interior and the stunning views. We enjoyed the hummus and honey glazed pigs in blankets and a lovely glass of wine. We look forward to seeing how your menu develops and wish you good luck. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent food presented by courteous and attentive staff. The drinks were top drawer. Highly recommended.

We just had the bar snacks, so I can't really comment on the food.

However, I must congratulate Matt and Sarah for opening such an incredible venue. This has been my idea for many years, cafe bar during the day, and bar/bistro in the evening. Arnside, you are truly blessed!

Been in a few times,service great unusual bar set up as in there isn't one take your order from your table, very wide selection of spirits beers and wines coffee is good too, nice looking place outside and the seating and internal decor is stunning with a good choice of types of seats from comfy lounge chairs and sitting upright on tables or high chairs with a high table, All round a very nice place to have a drink or a brew, not had food yet but from what's on the menu and what I've seen of the dishes going out it looks very nice.

Feeling ashamed as a local that it took until Saturday for me to pay my first visit, however it'll be the first of many!! Drinks selection and quality is great and so were the staff. The prices are really reasonable, too. Will be back very soon, this place will be brilliant for Arnside!

Really nice hot chocolate! Staff were friendly and the bar was dog friendly too which was nice.
