Super impressed! Knowledgeable staff in store , great communication online and we got a fantastic deal on lots of camping goodies and a new tent ready for 2022 . Lots of stock to choose from and a great variety of brands , literally spent a small fortune and could have easily spent more . Would definitely recommend and will definitely be visiting again soon .

What great service. We ordered a camping table at 3pm one day and it was in Scotland delivered by 11am the next. No idea how they did that, but well done. And the prices were better than anyone else's with free delivery. Would definitely use this company again.

I bought a BBQ in the January sale but didn't actually get to unpack the box and assemble it until June. Shortly after I started to put it together I found that a part was missing and was expecting a protracted process to resolve it, given the timelag. No such thing, they dispatched a new part the next day, no quibbling. The part arrived quickly and I was able to continue assembly only to find a small dent in the lid. Again, there was no dispute and I was immediately offered an acceptable solution. Tremendous customer care and I fully recommend shopping with them

We purchased an awning bundle, it was the best value for money from all companies we looked at, it arrived quickly. Needed to contact them with a query, very quick response times. Would use them again for any of our camping needs.

From the first moment on the phone, I knew I was going to get great service. I was interested in a specific tent and whilst they didn't have that model on display, they had something similar in a different material, and something in the right material but different size. It would be impossible to have every tent on display, but they certainly had a large selection. And using this method, we were able to get a good idea of how the tent would be. The man who helped us was extremely knowledgable and I had lots of questions to ask. He was patient, not pushy and gave us time to think about things. The tent I wanted to buy was at the higher end of the scale, so I wanted to make sure I knew as much detail as I could. You can tell this is a family business and has a deservedly excellent reputation. I am delighted with my purchase and delighted with the service I received. Thank you.

Came on here to leave a review, not something I normally do (apart from the same one I just left on fb), and not surprised to see simar ones to mine here. I found these guys on line as they had the best deal on the tent I wanted, everything went as normal but then had some issues with the tent (not their fault, a manufacturing issue). I expected the usual remote, inflexible approach you get online but they were helpful, reliable, flexible and understanding, and knowledgeable too. They turned a frustrating experience into a positive one, so no hesitation at all in recommending them. The personal touch combined with great value!

Bit of a trek from our Peterborough base but well worth it.
Bought our tent and a chair which we needed to replace plus another tent for one of our relatives who rang while we were out shopping.
Staff were very helpful for us Today and Russell helping through the week via email often out of hours was much appreciated.

Russell and the team here are simply fantastic. We recently experienced some issues with a tent we purchased 3 years ago and the customer service provided from start to resolving the issue was 1st Class. In my eyes this was a string reminder of why we should all support independent shops rather than Internet Stores and Multiple Retailers. If you have not been here before consider/try before you make your next purchase.

Prices are also very reasonable. Just bought a Vango self-inflating double mat. It was 80 quid and I was thinking to myself on the way home I should have thought ahead and order it online to get it cheaper. When I got home, I checked it and it is actually being sold for £80-£100 online! Glad I bought it from these lovely people!

Purchased a Campingaz BBQ as they had it in stock and at a great price. Was contacted afterwards to say they had incorrectly said delivery was available but it should have been collection only. However, they would personally deliver to me as they advertised as such, which was great.

Delivered personally by Russell and put it where I wanted it and really good service.

When putting BBQ together, noticed there was a faulty leg, which prevented BBQ being securely put together.

Contacted Family Tents and they were amazing. Opened another box to send me the leg of another BBQ whilst they waited on a replacement being shipped by Campingaz from France.

They shipped the replacement leg next day delivery so I could finish assembling the BBQ.

Generally you only find out about quality suppliers when things go wrong and how helpful they are in putting it right.

Family Tents went above and beyond and I would highly recommend them on price and exceptional customer service.

Love this little gem! The staff here are super helpful and will always help you the best they can. When I exchange my gas cylinders here they always carry them to the car without asking. They have a good range of camping essentials and a fair few glamping luxuries too! There is a good range of tents set up outside during the summer months to have a look at too. Love it!

I rarely write reviews but the customer service and after sales care from this family run business is excellent. You can buy with confidence that any issue will be resolved in very professional and speedy manner. In addition pricing is extremely competitive. Whether in store or via the internet I would not hesitate in using the company in the future.

Went there for a gas bottle exchange. Despite being very busy today, the guys were friendly, they offered to exchange my old style bottle for a new one - my new barbie had the option to retrofit with the new click-in system.

As the pressure regulator I had did not work, i went to see them to check what was wrong. They again were helpful and tried their best. Turns out the regulator was faulty. They had a replacement in stock, problem solved.

Bought a few things from here now and service is always first class. Had problem with a Vango SIM and it was replaced twice without any fuss. Definitely buying all my supplies from here now.

On enquiring by email as when the VangoTent Bundle I wanted to buy was expected back in stock I received a prompt email from Russel the Managing Director, advising me he would make enquiries direct with Vango as he was waiting on a delivery. Within 24 hours I was updated and advised the tent and the tent accessories were in stock with Vango and they could have them with me within the week. I then received another call from the store 2 days later saying they had the goods and when would I like them delivered. Amazing customer service, it’s not that often you find a company so dedicated to helping their customers. I will certainly be recommending this company and would definitely buy from them again. Been here for the 1st time today 2/8/19 and I must say Jo & Russ were brilliant, mind you Jo did most of the work lol Russ!!
I would highly recommend this place for all your camping needs etc, very knowledgeable and helpful and certainly not pushy what so ever, I bought a tent and other items. Reading other reviews poles sometimes are a nightmare and as for not enough to see this is a family run business not a huge chain, go to Decathlon absolutely no tents on show there at all.
Glad we found this place as we from Cumbria.

Very well laid out shop and friendly staff, brought first ever tent from there with my partner, put up and tested to find a few issues which were dealt with very quickly and professionally and wouldn't hesitate to use the shop in the future.

Brought a Vango Hayward 600xl Package from The Family Tent Shop’s branch at Shepperton. Excellent tent. Excellent price and excellent customer service. Nice people and very knowledgable taking time to discuss options. They call you back when they say they are going to call back (a rarity in this day and age). Family business and much better than larger national outlets.

We used the online shop to buy our new family tent. Great customer service and value for money. We will definitely be using The Family Tent Shop again.

The best camping and outdoor shop I have been to. The people are so friendly and helpful and nothing seems to much for them. Prices are very competitive and cheaper than on line. If you need something that's not in the shop they will try their hardest to get it for you. They have two shops one near Shepperton and one in Guildford both are excellent and highly recommended.
