They've been extraordinarily patient with me asking lots of questions about bicycle maintenance. Haven't tried to sell me anything i didn't already want or need and were supportive of my diy efforts. they've been invaluable to me in recent months. great local bike shop and lovely folks.

Expect an absolutely first class service from this excellent bike shop! That is my experience as, Stuart and Vasco have performed minor and major works on my old Orbit and rather less old Bianchi.

Really great experience. Asked for new tyres and tubes and they were fitted perfectly for me. Also added some handlebar caps and tightened up the gear cables for me. Very nice team and will go again.

Had a great experience with Elmy this week! I was heading off on a cycling trip and realised last minute that my bike needed a service and I needed help to package it up for a flight, given I had not taken a bike on a plane before. Not only did they fit my service in despite the short notice but they also packaged the bike up for me! A great team and really helpful!

Have visited Elmy's many times over years to buy anything from Tyres, inner tubes, Helmets and gels so when i had the chance to take advantage of cycle to work scheme i knew where to head! Jo was fantastic and super helpful making the purchase hassle free and easy. So happy with my bike and would not hesitate in recomending them to anyone! Thanks again Elmy's!

Amazing service at Elmys, always. Very knowledgeable. Not patronising, like many bike shop staff can be. Bike mechanic is awesome - huge experience and very helpful with tips and tricks.

Have purchased three bikes from Elmy Cycles now and have found them to be personable, helpful and good at listening and helping (I’m a novice). They also have a parking space out the back which I found handy. They sold me a Ridley Gravel Bike which was pre-owned for a very reasonable price, and it’s been a great performer so far. Look forward to seeing them again soon for the complimentary service at 3 months.

Thanks to the whole "team" at Elmy. Fabulous service with a smile. Bike has had lots of new components and a good service to get me back in the saddle. A few great tips on seat and bar position to help with some back issues as well. Was even shown how to "header" shoe box's ! Haha. Thanks all once again. Looking forward to getting some miles in.

I recently moved to Ipswich and really needed a good bike. My wife suggested me this place and I paid a visit to check the bicycles out... Turns out not only the staff is super amazing and friendly the products and services they provide are absolutely excellent and thus I ended up purchasing a bicycle that very day.... Recently bought my first road bike from here. Excellent, knowledgeable and enthusiastic team. Everyone helped make the experience straightforward and I will be going back there for anything I need going forward. Highly recommended.

Here's my story

I purchased my bike from Elmy cycles several years ago and have covered many miles on it but I never felt quite rite and didn't feel like I could ride as far as I wanted to due to either a painful bum or painful knees, so I decided to take the plunge and have a bike fit done by Steve.

After Steve had grilled me to find out about my riding style and physical condition he set to work watching me on the turbo trainer, he then did some magical maths and set about my bike making small adjustments here and there fully explaining what he was doing and more importantly why.
This was all done without the use of any fancy computers or equipment, just a tape measure, note pad and a massive amount of experience and knowledge.

I went out yesterday and did my usual route.... WOW! what a difference, I felt like I could push harder up hills with less effort, for the first time I felt comfortable to ride for long periods on the drops, my backside after 45 miles still felt like it could do another 45 and NO knee pain!
I smashed 29 personal records on Strava and it upped my avg speed to boot!

Well worth the money and time it took as cycling should be a pleasure not a punishment and this has certainly turned my cycling around and made it much more pleasurable.

I just want to thank Steve, Jo and the team for being so helpful :-)

Had my first ever bike this morning with Steven. Friendly, informative and relax atmosphere. Started off with my slightly too "big" shoes 🤔😂...I wish I spoke to them first before reading reviews and recommendations on various websites. Now all sorted and a few adjustments made to my bike and some great tips for a newbie road cyclists. Would highly recommend and will now support my local bike shop moving forward instead of those misleading websites. FIVE STAR SERVICE 👍

My brakes were in desperate need of a service, I use my bike to commute to work. Dave fixed them in double quick time and at a great price. Definitely going to take my bike there from now on. The best in town without a doubt. Customer service is excellent.

Elmy Cycles is my local bike shop and they have fixed numerous bikes over the years most recently today where they aligned the gears, fitted new gear cables, new wheel, chain after a mechanical failure and they have always been brilliant.

I used to adjust my gears myself but this takes me 4 times a long and it is nowhere near as good as how they adjust.

Staff are always helpful and keen to advise on products.

Really nice and helpful staff. Enjoyed my time in the shop very much. Came out of the shop with a big grin on my face..

The service at Elmys is first class. Steve, Jo and all the team are so knowledgeable and helpful. They listen to your requirements and find the right solution for all your cycling enjoyment. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Excellent service - had problem with Trek and given a new one- doesn’t get better.
