We received a very warm welcome by Mr and Mrs Brown, with their service exceptional. We would highly recommend anyone to stay at this B&B. The peace and the tranquility was so relaxing. Thank you for their kindness and warmth.

Absolutely loved this B and B. Sally was the best hostess ever and rest of family lovely. Room very welcoming and comfortable. View across the fields wonderful. All fixtures and fittings of high quality and comfy bed. Breakfast was a special occasion and cooked beautifully. The table was set out as if for a special occasion using period crockery where appropriate. All produce inc. eggs, honey, yoghurt are home produced and other items are of quality. Location relatively easy though Google map spot on and plenty of parking. Only 15 minutes from Chester City centre. If there was ever a reason to stay in a traditional B and B rather than a big multiple this is it ... Thanks for a great stay and look forward to visiting again....

We think this is one of the best B&B's we've ever stayed at. You get a lovely warm welcome, the rooms are so comfortable, clean and cosy. The breakfasts give you a great selection, freshly cooked using their own eggs and honey...delicious!
If your visiting Chester and the Zoo staying here is a must 😊

Had a really good experience here, the bedroom was cozy and came with all the little creature comforts to make your stay better. The breakfast was a great full english although cereals and toast were also available. The hosts and their dog were very friendly and even accommodated a slightly earlier arrival. I paid by bank transfer as they don't have a chip and pin device and was cheaper than the mainstream hotels in the area. I would go back there if I were in the area, and recommend it to anyone who is going that way, I'd suggest that you book directly with them for the best rate.

I stayed at Fernlea Cottage B&B during a training week in Tattenhall, Cheshire. Everything about Fernlea Cottage is wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, the room was cosy and included everything I needed, and the bathroom was clean and very functional - lovely hot water. The breakfasts were delicious and I was asked everyday what I would like for the following day. Fresh eggs and delicious bacon. Superb service and very friendly and welcoming owners. Thank you SO much.

Where to start, there are so many positive things, and only positive things, to say about this wonderful bed and breakfast accommodation! It’s exceptional and a privilege to stay there, along with being extraordinary value for money. It would be a delight at a higher price.

Steve and Sally are the kindest hosts. They treat their guests with such kindness and thought. They are professional yet have an easy manner. A cup of tea on arrival, a chat when needed, discretion at other times. Faultless.

The accommodation: you have not just your spotless and comfortable, modern room with all mod cons, but use of a relaxing and comfortable living room with French doors onto a patio with plants and a view of the Peckforton Hills. Perfect for sitting outside on nice evenings or with your coffee after breakfast.

The room: spotless, comfortable, great bed, en suite shower. Just a delight to be in.

Breakfast: in the pleasant dining room, replete with glass and china and linen, very special. And your choice of hot food after fresh fruit salad and cereals and yoghurt. They can also cater for dietary requirements with advance notice.

The setting: just off the A41, on the 41 bus route into Chester, which is largely how I travelled. The bus stops are on the main road, just ask (there’s a pavement on the main road but not on the road the cottage is on, so be careful walking around to the main road). It’s a peaceful setting.

VFM: fantastic. It would be a wonderful place to stay at 40% more expensive! It’s a testament to Sally and Steve’s good natures that their rates are so fair.

Go there and count your blessings.
