This Park and Ride is brilliant. First time we have used it. I was expecting to be ripped off.
Couldn’t believe it. Up to 16 hours parking, two return bus journeys into the heart of Oxford
all for £5.00 It was the highlight of my day - not our meal or the Theatre performance. The Park and Ride has been the first thing I talk about with friends. Really clean and tidy indoor area with toilets. Bus drivers very friendly and helpful. Excellent.

Very good parking and toilet cafe there too so perfect if travelled from afar. I used the ticket machine which was easy to use, but you need to know your car registration number. We booked the park and ride bus too and got straight on it. Last time we got on the wrong 700 returning from John Radcliffe Hospital so ended up going around the whole of Oxford, so we made a point of asking how to tell the difference, it's easy when you know how! I use the Thornhill Park and Ride every time I have to go to JRH as it is easy, fairly quick and so cheap! £4 for myself and my 11yr old son to park and get the bus, it cuts out the stress of finding a parking space too!

Functional and clean public toilet. Bus affordable for 2 people to park and get a return to town (£5); machines where you can buy tickets was easy to use and you can pay by card. You don't need to leave the ticket in the car and instead you just need to show it to the bus driver when boarding. There is plenty of car parking space at 3 pm, on a Saturday, a week before the Christmas break. Bus drivers friendly and helpful. Indoor area to wait was useful.

Very good Park and Ride, toilets available, you can get a cup of coffee, easy to follow ticket machines (you need to remember your Reg no.!) and the buses into Oxford are very regular, clean and comfy. You keep your ticket, don't need to display it in the car - perfect for a 3 night stay with max 72 hours stay allowed 😀
PS you want bus 400 to get to the centre of the city, far right side of the building as you look at my 1st picture (coming from the main road) 😆

This Park & Ride is best cost effective option to reach Oxford City Centre if you're travelling with 2 adults and 3 children (15 years old) as you will be paying only £5 for bus return ticket and parking but £4 for a single adult. If you are travelling a car full of adults (above 16 years)and staying less than 6 hours - it could be better to park at the City Centre but avoid ULEZ area if your car doesn't meet the ULEZ criteria.

The most convenient arrangement to visit Cambridge. The bus come frequently and the stop at the city centre is well located. Fair price: a small group of 3 people paid £8.00 to park and return on the bus. Very good, isn't it?

With traffic and parking such a grind in Oxford itself the Park and Rides that surround the city should be compulsory. Thornhill is great and is the out of city stop for the London-Oxford Tube bus service. So much cheaper than a train.

The best way to get into Oxford, or even the best way to start your journey to London, Heathrow or Gatwick.

It is a hub for Airport coaches to Heathrow and Gatwick. It is very convenient for Oxford and the surroundings. There is a waiting area inside the building and toilet facilities plus a small coffee and snacks outlet.

What's not to like? Huge parking area. Central point to purchase your parking/park & ride ticket. Here there are toilets , refreshment booth , covered waiting area & the bus stops. No need to put a ticket on your car once paid at machine.
Don't miss paying - the cars are checked & we saw plenty of parking tickets on screens on our return from Oxford.
If you have a bus pass you only need pay for the parking.
Only cost us £ 2 : 00 for all day.
There are bus lanes into Oxford centre so you also dodge most of traffic queues that you would meet in a car & avoid super high parking charges - or a fine if you stray into a bus lane or some other forbidden route.

Interesting concept. You park your car at entrance town and use the bus network to get in any point you want. Lovely 😍.

First time of use as I had to go to Churchill Hospital using bus 700.The lady driver was very helpful and jolly. The car park was unbelievable only £2 for all day and the bus fair £3 return. Why use a car to go into central Oxford.A really great service with frequent buses.

Excellent way to get into the city centre without the hassle of having to find a parking space. Fully accessible, with disabled parking very close to the bus stops, the Park & Ride offers services to Oxford and London.

It takes about 30 minutes to get to the city centre and the route goes right past the Headington Shark, so good for taking photos too.

All bus stops are easily located and there is an indoor area to wait if the weather is bad.

Perfect for a bus to and from the city centre but if you have an electric car be warned there are only two charging points and a very difficult 20mins on the phone to get charger to work!!

Love this bus station, got to be one of the cleanest in the country, opens from 6.30 till 23.00 seven days a week. They have toilets facilities and a little tiny cafe. It's cute, clean, friendly, warm, and cared for. If you have a choice, choose this park and ride.

Took the Oxford tube to work during train strikes. Could not have done without it on that day. Easy to find and park, first 30mins are free. Cafe and toilets too whilst you wait for your bus. All in all, this is our preffered route to go to London on the days when train strikes make it impossible to get to work.

I first used this park and ride back when it was some scrub land and a piece of pavement which served as a bus stop.

It now has easy and plentiful parking, easy access, a bus terminal building with clean lavatories, a snack hut and served several bus lines. It's well lit, easy to navigate, has information relating to local attractions and seating for the wait. It's light, bright and clean.
