Fabulous experience having a foot operation yesterday. Mr Duncan and his team were so caring and nice. The nurse who looked after me was lovely. Thank you to each and every one of you.

Outstanding small local hospital which is a credit to the NHS, easy to get to in car or on bus. Large carpark for visitors thats just been extended. Good A and E department and no long waits to be seen. The premises are clean and tidy and staff are brilliant

i haven’t been for a blood test in well over 10 years as my phobia is next level. however i needed one and thought just get it booked. got here and it was a lovely atmosphere, the lady that gave me a blood test was so lovely and caring and understood my phobia, i usually cry i didn’t bat an eyelid, she was so so good. i didn’t even feel it and before i knew it she was done. can’t thank her enough, thank you so much for making it a pleasant experience 🩷

Over the years I have had mostly good experiences here.

Great staff, helpful assistant people, they have a good range of equipment and facilities.

The car park could do with being bigger as parking can sometimes be a little bit of a problem, it's a reasonable size, but still not big enough.

Easy to get too, and find.

Went to Urgent Care for something in my eye. Receptionist was great and made me feel at ease. Was seen within 15 minutes. Nurse was friendly and removed the particle from under my eyelid within seconds. Identified my eyeball was scratched and gave me antibiotic cream. Amazing!!!
Free parking as well.

I've been here a good few times. Always very lovely staff and fast but attentive service. Please give this hospital security for their own safety. I can't rate them enough. They don't deserve the abuse I saw them receive.

Went for my first surgery after a broken ankle and have been looked after like a queen. Everyone was so nice. I was scared but they said all the right things to reassure me. Much better and quicker service than a big hospital where you feel like a number. I hope never to have to go to a hospital again but if I had to I would wish to go to this place.

I can’t praise the podiatry team, the ward staff and theatre team enough following my recent surgery at this hospital. As a white coat syndrome sufferer all the staff put me at ease, taking time to discuss and helping me to understand the procedure.
NHS staff do a great professional job, the staff here go above and beyond, exceeding expectations. Thank you everyone at Ilkeston Community Hospital.

My husband recently spent two weeks as a rehab patient on Heanor Ward.
Every member of staff were wonderful, his care was fabulous and he was treated with respect and humour, the food was good and plentiful, much needed in his case.
Nobody wants to be in hospital, but thank goodness for places like Ilkeston community hospital and their person centred care ethos.

What a fantastic service from reception to treating triage nurse , I was treated with knowledge and professionalism from all the staff involved . I was reassured that my health problem wasn’t serious after having routine health check . I was treated within 15 mins ,this is how all minor injury units should be able to operate . Well done and thank you again for your time spent with me . 👍

I had knee surgery yesterday and was a Day Case Unit patient for procedure. All the doctors and nurses and other staff were amazing. If I could describe a hospital visit and operation as being a lovely experience then this was. Staff were just outstanding and so patient. Everything was explained to by the relevant clinicians and I left in a much better frame of mind than when I entered so a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in my care for the day.

I can not thank the nurses and the paramedic enough. ( i think his name was Craig ) but to be honest i was still a bit out of it. Who saw me today. I had an allergic reaction and passed out in the foyer. Thank you so much and also to the young lady who eventually did my x-ray. You were all so lovely and attentive. Thank you again 💓 x

Brilliant care and service from Urgent care centre. My 80 year old mum was in urgent need of an X-ray to rule out a fracture, after a nasty fall . A lovely nurse called Carole looked after my Mum and me ( worried daughter ) carefully examined her, treated her with respect and care , organised an X-ray and immediately talked thru results . NHS at its very best . Thank you ❤

I was seen by the Triage nurse within 30 mins of arriving and she assessed my shoulder with great care and was hugely knowledgeable.,
Thankfully it wasn't broken but still in a bad way, so she gave me a range of exercises to do with it, to aid its recovery after my accident.
5 weeks on,its 80 percent better already after following her excellent advise 👍

A huge thanks to this NHS professional :-)

Had to go to the Diagnostic and Treatment Centre for a procedure. I was there about five hours in total. The nurses and staff were fantastic, very friendly, and although busy had time to chat, make you laugh and feel at ease. Well done ladies, keep it up
