Halfords - Ilkeston

Hope I don't get anyone in trouble. But grabbed a headlight bulb from there. Done bulbs My self in past, just not the type I have now and Steven. The lad who served me must have seen me struggling and came out to help me. I know they charge for that but he's a lovely man to have working there. Thanks so much for finishing it off for me

The two staff members I saw were very friendly and welcoming - the young man who fitted my windscreen wipers (front and rear) -along with changing a rear bulb was delightful. He chatted politely and was very efficient!

Both headlight bulbs had gone on my car. I went into the store and choose two new ones. I asked the assistant behind the counter if he could fit them for me but also I explained I was concerned that both had gone at the same time. No problem he said we will try one and see if that cures the problem. It did so he fitted the other for me. He was very helpful and full of great advice. The weather was awful and he did it all in the rain. I wish I’d had got his name as he deserves some recognition for outstanding customer service. A credit to Halfords.

Massive thanks to Chris for sorting a hassle free exchange of a faulty product and arranging a collection at another store which had the same product in stock. It's this sort of customer service which will bring be back to Halfords over other stores. Great customer service!

Brilliant today, went to have a bulb replaced and was offered the free winter health , which originally said no but so glad I did, was originally advised by a local tyre company all 4 tyres needed replacing but after the check was advised no way, only 1 had concerns but not urgent. Such a lovely man but did not see his name otherwise would have mentioned it, thank you Ilkeston Halfords 😊

Went in for some bulb changes. The gentlement that greeted me were incredibly friendly. I believe it was Ben that fitted my bulbs for me, lovely lad and got the job done really quickly. Would go back in a heartbeat

I had a free winter check carried out today and the guy who did it was brill. All items checked passed and it took less than 10 minutes. Super joba d piece of mind for me

Just been into Halfords Ilkeston to get a number plate replaced (21/10/23), staff couldn’t be more helpful if they tried, they were great. Although while I was in there, there was another customer being very abusive to one of the staff, swearing a lot. This was completely unacceptable and he should be ashamed of himself, it was embarrassing. Felt very sorry for her but she was really calm and professional. Well done girl 😁

Took our car here for an MOT, it was really easy to book in at this garage. Our car was seen to straight away and repaired with a quick turnaround time. Communication was great and staff were really friendly and welcoming, would definitely recommend using this garage.

Purchased 3 bikes for grandkids xmas and everything was perfect. Picked up on time with no hassle. Great service and found Ben absolutely brilliant.

Went to the Ilkeston branch today to get a emergency puncture repair, Ben and Phoenix were superstars, they were just all round helpful and genuine good guys and they work as a team effortlessly. A real credit to the store.

Really pleaded with the service this morning. Pleasant and helpful assistants. Did a 10 point check on my car completely FREE 👍. Contrast to my garage where I take my car for service and MOT every year. Refused to check my tyre pressure!

Very helpful staff and not too busy, I went for a bike and was swiftly helped and although we couldn't find the correct bike for my child we had a great time trying out all the bikes.

Great service from ordering to installation. Steven was very knowledgeable with the stereos when we went to purchase, he was also the one to install it, he worked very quick & cleanly, was very friendly and answered all my questions and spent a good while making sure it worked and tuned my preffered stations in and showed me how to operate the differnt functions. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Finally the end price was cheaper than we were expecting (because of discounts applied by him) which I thought was very nice of him to do. All in all it will be my "go to" for any further purchases. Thankyou Steven.

Visited the Ilkeston branch to purchase a leisure battery. I think the name of the employee was George - he tested our old battery, which it would appear needed replacement; he advised us on a suitable new one and carried it out to our car for us. Quick, efficient service and all carried out with a lovely, friendly attitude. Thank you Halfords - will use this store again.

Just finishing a bike hut refit to make the bike people's shopping experience much more simple with new lines and a whole new layout

Visited the Ilkeston store today as I'd noticed online about the trade in your old bike. Spoke to George who helped me massively in choosing a bike as I was indecisive about the hybrid and the mountain bike, gave me the pros and cons which made my decision easier. George was so helpful I also bought my son a bike too. Excellent service will definitely go back to George and the team at Ilkeston. Thank you George very much appreciated

I have recently purchased a bike from Halfords at Ilkeston I would just like to say what fantastic service I had from Ben C- He is so knowledgable with the Halfords products, It’s so refreshing to be greeted by someone who is so pleasant and helpful.

Adam, the store manager is extremely helpful when we were in distress with car issue. He was attentive and assisted us to resolve our problem despite the closure time. Adam even went ahead in guiding us to solve the Adblue issue despite not something there are selling in store.
Thank you Adam and Halsford. A life saver for me and family while we were driving through Nottingham.
