Waterstones

For a year (the worst year of my life), the cafe on the top floor of Waterstone in Nottingham was my safe place. I would sit there from 9 in the morning till 5 in the afternoon.
They have the most delicious tea and Carrot cake

You know where you are with a Waterstones and this was a very good one. Nice to see some classic books out among the more recent authors to mix up the choices a bit.

Excellent staff and a fantastic array of books. Some of the one-star reviews here seem rather absurd; I'm unsure if they're genuine or meant as a joke. One review mentions disliking the store because it's filled with books – well, it is a bookshop after all!

They have a very huuuuuugeeee selection of books and it's amazing. It's so beautiful from the outside even more from the outside. There are so many floors.

I love to come to this bookstore, they have a huge selection of books in every subject plus books in other languages. There are not only books but lots of cute objects to shop. I love the cafe at the top floor because it has a nice atmosphere of academia and cultivated people. I love to have a cortado which is well prepared and so tasty.

The best shop in Nottingham. Theres so many floors (four, possibly five). We always go in and spend ages perusing the books. The fourth floor has an incredible selection of modern boardgames. There is also a cafe on the third floor. Love this shop so much

Best Waterstones I have come across. Many levels focused on different categories. Childrens level a few floors up with a kids reading area. Excellent cafe area so you can buy books and have a tea and cake. Provision of toilets very welcome here. Makes it always a reason to stop here. Top level dedicated to board games / trading cards / manga. I wish all Waterstones were designed like this. Took the daughter in to buy some books, a pack of Pokemon cards, sit down to refresh by buying cakes and tea and hot chocolate and use the toilets. Totally refreshed coming out. The one Waterstones to give you every reason to stop here. Well done!

A relatively large bookstore with multiple storeys. A cafe opens at one of the upper storeys. Walk all the way to the top floor (or take the escalators), and you will even find bookshelves of manga books.

Great selection, different genres, I wanted sci fii on the 4th floor, easy to navigate in the building itself.

Waterstones is about the largest bookshop I have been to. It sits at the centre of Nottinham City just very close to the council building. It is a three storey facility that is filled up to it brim with books! There's hardly any book I had looked for and didn't find there. If your are getting drowned in that pool of books and perhaps can't find what you're looking for, just tap the bell and you'd have their very friendly book sellers rescue and attend to you appropriately. The indexing and arrangement of books by subject makes it a lot easier to navigate the space and waste less time.

It's one of the best waterstones in the UK, the coffee shop is amazing, the staff are exquisite and like to help out. The design is beautiful with many floors full of books. Pick yourself up a Waterstones plus card and rack up the stamps!

Best waterstones I've been to. Staff are very friendly. So many floors plus a café at the top. Very relaxing to wander round. Lovely choices of gifts, cards and wrapping paper too.

LOVE LOVE LOVED IT! The waterstones in my town is small with not much option but this one is so pretty. It's wonderland for a bookworm. There are several floors and a cafe inside. Amazing selection of books. I didn't even get to check out the whole place but I felt like I was home.

Awesome book store. 5 floors! Massive collection of literature. Board games, puzzles, movies, and music are sold as well selection is limited. Staff are friendly and often offered assistance. I inquired about a board game and they sought a different copy out that was un damaged. Rewards program available that rewards continued purchases. Cafe on the 3rd floor (4th for americans) which will be exciting to go to in the future. Graphic novels and manga have a large selection on the ground floor. The black library (40k) has a section here as well, which is surprising and nice. Will come back again.

Pottering around Waterstones on my lunchbreak is one of life's little pleasures for me. This a a huge bookstore that still manages to feel intimate due to being split over at least five levels across a grand old building.

Such a kind and friendly atmosphere, the employees are so friendly and helpful. The Matcha Latte is really good too and the cafe baristas are friendly and welcoming too.

I honestly have never seen a waterstones with so many floors! It's beautiful inside and outside, and tons of book selection to choose from. There's also a cafe near the top floor for those wanting to eat, and both stairs, escalators and lifts to use :)
