Trading Post

Sunday lunch for 4 which was great.
First time here and a 200 mile round trip to see family.
Was well worth the visit.
3 sizes of Sunday roast available. Choice of meats on a carvery and loads of veg and potatoes. Service with a smile. Serves by molieanne who was wonderfully helpful with a great cheery smile with all my questions.
Desserts were great and coffee all to wash it.down with

Pub was clean and tidy and very busy. Large carpark as well.

Best carvery I’ve had in ages. They was fully booked but managed to squeeze us in. I can see why they were fully booked thoroughly enjoyed. Look forward to coming back.

I visited The Trading Post with family members and we were quickly shown to our table by a pleasant member of staff. We ordered a variety of meals including the carvery. As two of our group went up to get their carvery meals the other meals were brought to our table by a very friendly waiter. Lewis, I believe, was his name. He was very helpful in going to fetch more napkins for us at the table and asked us if we needed anything else before going back into the kitchen. The food was lovely, and good portions. The carvery was excellent, only fault was the two small pigs in blankets that had to be ordered separately, at £2.50 didn't seem worth it. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

The carvery is always great, we receive friendly service and good value for money making the Trading Post an excellent choice for a cooked meal that has been freshly prepared for us to enjoy. I would recommend it it to other and they will not be disappointed. On a cold winter's day it was warm and inviting to dine at the Trading post. No washing up either is a bonus and a lovely treat to have a roast meal served quickly and efficiently. No complaints! a small luxury I would say to be savoured.

An overall brilliant service as always. Food was very tasty,another large plate for myself. My mum was very pleased with food also,and the fact that a steak knife was provided by staff to assist with her meal as she has Parkinson's and sometimes struggles. Another lovely experience at the Trading Post 👍

Food was lovely and fresh. Had a choice of 3 meats i had all 3 wide range of veg only thing missing for me was roasted parsnips. Service was fantastic and staff were all happy and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble for any member of staff.

The last time we contacted you was to complain about a very unexpected downward change in quality. You asked us to come back and we did yesterday. The quality had returned to your expected high quality. THANK YOU! We plan to continue to return. If I had one complaint it would be that the beef on the carvery was a bit tough but all the other meat was very tender So thank you for a very good meal. I would rate you 9 out of 10. The 1 point deduction was due to beef. It is a minor point

I always get a warm welcome. All the staff are very friendly, that is one of the reasons we keep returning. The food is always constantly good, and the prices are very reasonable.
I don’t think they can improve on their service or food.
Have been going to The Trading Post for years, and will continue to do so.

Looking for somewhere else to go for lunch, we thought of Trading Post which my partner had never been to before. I had been here as a child. Incredible service, met by a lovely lady who said just find a seat and come to the bar to order when we were ready. Very friendly staff, especially Lily (who we believe met us at the door), April who served our food and Katie who served us at the bar. Met one of the chefs who was also friendly and appreciative of our thanks and compliments.
Plenty of parking. Easy to get to (off A14) beautiful place, decorated so beautifully. Thank you all!

Service was very good.. ladies at desk pleasant and clear in telling you your table.
Carvery was nice and chef was pleasant and chatty..
only down side we were upstairs dining and it was very stuffy.. no air up there diners near window didn’t want window open..
other than that we had a nice evening

I went with a group of friends to the trading post for the wonderful carvery. I couldn't fault the quality of the food ,the meat was tender and hot and the yorkshire puddings were excellent. There was a wide selection of vegetables and it was possible to go back and have as many vegetables as wanted.
We will definitely be going back again very soon as it was excellent quality for money.

A lovely place to eat. We’ve only ever had the carvery but it’s great. Very tasty , all fresh vegetables, giant Yorkshire puds and the meat is always cooked to perfection. Cannot fault the Trading Post.

Ad there were 8 of us for lunch we booked a table in advance, it was very busy when we arrived and our table was ready for us. We all ate from the carvery food was piping hot great selection of vegetables. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious 😋

It was a Christmas party for colleagues and some arrived a little late but the staff were helpful and courteous. One if my colleagues suffers with anxiety and had not realised it would be a serve yourself with the roast which he could not do. The staff member was amazing and offered him the standard menu to choose something for himself. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was great! We caught some of the quiz and we reckon we'll be back to try that in the new year too! Thank you!

Lovely food and atmosphere. Could have done with a bit of lemon with my scampi. But they had run out. Staff were lovely as always. Highly recommend. Its our go to restaurant with something to suit every member of the family.

Local place that never disappoints and serves amazing carvery all week long however went for something comforting today-spicy beef burger and sticky toffee pudding, feel as always satisfied with the quality of food and price.

When we walked in the staff greeted us at the door, they were very polite and smiley. I asked how the carvery worked and the young lady explained to us. The food was really good and fresh and hot. My overall experience was very good and we will definitely be returning again and I will definitely be recommending you to my friends and family:)

I come to the Kettering Trading Post every month with my friend for a catch up. We always get a warm welcome and a comfortable table. Food is always served hot and tasty. Drinks are prepared well with ice and a slice if required. Staff are efficient, helpful and friendly. That’s why we keep coming back year after year.

Well, just back from a lunchtime Christmas meal, garlic mushrooms for starter which would've been a "lunch" for me at home, Christmas roast with all the trimmings and a sweet to take home as ---well you know...absolutely gorgeous, they even offer crackling, I mean, bring it on!! Well done all of you, a pub full at lunchtime speaks volumes, atmosphere was lovely

Was able to easily book online on the same day which was great!!
The food was amazing - Speaking for the Veggie Burger here. Went with some friends who also enjoyed their meals.
Only feedback which isn't a critisim as feedback is a gift - There wasn't enough cutlery so had to try and source some ourselves.
The wait here point at the door was incredibly busy and not manned, as the food was so good everyone wants it maybe an extra pair of hands during busier times.
Overall I do recommend here to my friends and family anyway and will continue to do so, thank you for your hospitality.
