First stay here, definitely not the last a great hotels with fantastic staff, quiet, tucked away up a long drive with stunning grounds. Only down side, the Cast Iron Grill slightly high prices, there is another part of it, called Brew Bar lounge, prices slightly more reasonable online but then we weren't offered that menu just the expensive one, but overall would recommend. Also a great base point for the North West - easy access to Blackpool, Manchester and Liverpool. Buffet Breakfast worth the money. Would def recommend a stay

Lovely stay with friendly staff. Hotel & room was tastefully decorated with attention to detail. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of things to choose from to cater for all tastes. Had a relaxing time in the spa area. The only negative for us was that the bathroom was a little tired in a couple of places. Would definitely stay there again though!

Decent hotel rooms with decent amenities throughout the hotel. Nice gardens.

What made our stay feel amazing was the unbelievable customer service from PAUL we had an issue with our TV on entering the room, Paul went above and beyond to move us room with an upgrade. He was very polite and professional but the kind strive he provided out two year old son went above and beyond his job description. With more people like Paul in the world it would moat definitely be a better place for everyone. This man deserves a promotion as soon as possible.

Thank you Paul for making our sons say memorable!

The staff were very welcoming upon arrival, they provided our children with activities for the stay. The room was clean and a good size. The pool was nice to have included within the stay and the breakfast was good quality. We’d definitely stay here again.

Generally outstanding hotel and top service.

Paul, Stephanie and others on reception were brilliant with their welcome. Housekeeping staff were delightful too.

Only disappointment was no bitter beer in the bar! Four lagers and draught Guinness just didn’t do it.

The hotel is in a semi-rural setting. Nestled amongst trees, you don't realise how close they are to suburbia. Yet, you feel like you are in the "sticks."

The hotel finds itself in a beautiful original victorian manor building. Lots of character. It has an indoor pool and gym.

Very quiet location.

We recently stayed at the Marriott Preston and it by far exceeded our expectations especially in terms of value for money (the same rate as nearby Holiday Inn but the experience was by far more superior). The room was quiet (even on Friday night!) as we were located in a different wing to all the party guests, the beds were extremly comfortable with a fresh bedlinen and plenty of pillows. We used the swimming pool and the spa in the evening and it was a bliss, atmospheric lightning, all clean and calm. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices and fantastic selection of fruits and smoothie. The check out was very smooth. The hotel service is bespoke and very attentive, we receved the parking fine a few days after our stay and upon raising this with the hotel it was dealt with within an hour! They apologied (parking is free for the hotel guests) and waived teh charges instantenously. Will definitely be staying in again, a hidden gem!! The grounds are absolutely stunning too! Thank you!

Lovely hotel with fantastically friendly staff. The absolute star of the show are the leisure facilities. Great pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna but the gym and fitness suite is next level amazing. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Excellent customer service from front desk in the evening (african descent female) and front desk in morning (white male glasses) woth really good with our kids and engaging with them with the animal activity. Hotel was nocely located for our purpose. Rooms were nice only a few issues however main concern is amount of charging ports close to the bed. In an age of modern technology it is something alot of hotels will have to decide on.

The Hotel itself is brilliant staff great the Glovers swim school staff however are nasty think they own the pool and the man from the swim school with stupid hair cut needs to stop hitting on Marriot guests you ain't no cutey.
Thank u for reply the marriot staff are as good as those in your other hotels weve stayed in in uk and abroard. We know the swim school is separate to Marriot but others might not. The swim school staff may think it's perk of job to interact with a group of ladies its not a professional to do we just laughed it off.Our group will be back thank u for addressing the issue..

We arrived at the Marriott hotel in Preston after a long drive on Saturday afternoon, upon arrival we were greeted by Paul, who checked us in and gave our children a teddy (this was a lovely touch) he then told the kids they were allowed in the pool and showed us to our room.

We had a family room with 2 double beds, the room was spacious, well decorated and clean. The facilities in the room were fantastic we had kettle and tea and coffee and cans of
Water these were replenished everyday, we also had a note and a miniature bottle of wine and a soft drink awaiting us too. The room was warm but equipped with a large fan along with hair dryer, iron, ironing board and safe.
The bathroom was spacious and clean, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were supplied and spelt divine.

As hotel guests we also had use of the leisure club and this was such a lovely added extra, we could use the pool throughout the day as well as the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi (over 16’s only) towels were also provided, the kids loved swimming everyday.

We had breakfast in the cast iron grill, the breakfast is buffet style with endless options and one of the best cooked breakfast’s we’ve ever tasted! Everything was fresh, constantly topped up and nothing was too much trouble.
In the evenings we ate in the Cast Iron Grill and the Brew Bar Lounge, both restaurants have the same menu however the grill
Have added specials, the food was gorgeous and the portions were huge, you were never left hungry. My only suggestion here would
Be maybe a bar menu as well. The bar and restaurant staff were so friendly and really talkative with the children.

The hotel is set in a lovely area and on spacious grounds. We will definitely be returning again.

Stayed here as a couple for the bank holiday weekend. The room was lovely and absolutely spotless. It had all the facilities we needed. The receptionists were lovely and very welcoming. The bathroom was fantastic, great decor and provided everything we needed. The beds were also super comfortable.

We were really on the fence about switching from our usual hotel to this one after some of the bad reviews in recent weeks. But it takes more than an innocent spider picture to deter us.
Paul was fantastic and looks like he’s impressed others with his customer service as I see he’s been mentioned a lot in these reviews and with good reason. We were welcomed even before we’d approached the desk with a smile and after a wee bit of banter he showed us right to our room. We stayed in an executive king? I think? And it was spotless and comfortable. We both slept very well with no disturbances or discomfort at all. We’ll definitely be staying here again and can recommend it confidently.
Well done Marriott Preston! And thank you Paul for your hospitality.

We stayed here after arriving from London to visit family. We chose this hotel based on, essentially, the Marriott brand and the leisure services they have. We were here for almost 4 days and in this time, had to use the various services they offer.

The room was decent, clean, well equipped for the price paid and the hotel.

Firstly, they have a complimentary electric car charger (you need your own wire) which was a big help for us. We also had breakfast which was decent despite other reviews. My daughter (3) got very sick, and requests for more tissue, milk etc, were all dealt with swiftly despite the time. We also had to use their dry cleaning service after my daughter vomited on our coats and scarf. It was done promptly without hassle. Everyone was VERY POLITE and happy. Nothing was an issue and I would seriously recommend this hotel and will also be booking this for our future visits.

I have added some pictures of the breakfast but as my daughter was sick, I was unable to take more pics.

Handy location, but you wouldn't know its close to motorway network. Lovely, spacious rooms with big bathrooms. Lounge bar is a nice area. And buffet breakfast is well worth the price!

Beautiful big Manor House style building with large pretty gardens. Check in was very friendly, the room was huge and very clean, lovely little toiletries in the bathroom.
Nice big tv, iron & board, hairdryer and massive comfortable bed.
The room also had a mini fridge, coffee & tea making facilities, and complimentary water.
We slept really well and then went for breakfast, great choice literally everyone is catered for, full English, fruit, cereals, porridge, pancakes, croissants and breakfast pastries, the choice was was great with lots of juices and hot drink selection.
Staff were really friendly too, poached eggs were fab!
Definitely recommended and will stay here again.
They also had complimentary car electric charging 🙂

I respect that I'm a coach driver & therefore I personally didn't have to pay for my room. However, the rooms are beautiful, the shower worked well & didn't leak, like I've known with some hotel showers. The food was beautiful & tasty. The bar area was clean & tidy & kept in good order. Although it's an old building, it's kept in a beautiful condition by staff who clearly work very hard. Yes it's a 4 star hotel, but it has earned the rating.
