Fantastic place to visit!
Great for all, easy walks around for ppl with all abilities and a lovely park for children to play on. Plenty seating areas all around the walks. Very well maintained and set out, extremely clean. Great little cafe. Ample free parking. Our pups love meeting other dogs and all the friendly people.

Wonderful little country park. Free parking onsite with a cafe + toilets. Took my family there whilst on a small getaway. Nice walk even in the winter with a paved option for those with buggys/wheelchairs. A small pond and a larger lake attached leading onto a beautiful waterfall. A park for the little ones with adequate seating all around. Cafe was reasonably priced with a good variety of food. Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed our walk even though it was a wet muddy day. Lots of birds to see. They have feeding stations dotted around the park also hides. We had a walk to the weir which was very forceful after the rainfall. Lovely little cafe for a brew and snack afterwards.

I've been walking around the lodge as long as I can remember as I grew up backing on to it and it's never been as beautiful as it is now.
Lovely place for a walk especially early morning.

Lovely dog friendly park that just needs a little TLC. When you arrive there is a decent sized car park that is free! No charge! There is a network of small paths and trails, that unfortunately can be a little confusing, needing clear signage. However the park is lovely and the stepped weir is a lovely surprise. The cafe at the car park does a lovely coffee. We will be returning. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place. Easy parking, which is free, a nice cafe and a lovely walk through the woods.

The wier was in flood when we went and was roaring over the ledge. We could've stood there for hours watching it.

There's also coal mining relics around with fenced off mine shafts.

There's a park there and plenty of picnic benches located around the country park.

Well worth a visit. It was wet and dreary when we went but still really nice.

Yarrow valley country park -- a nice day for going out with friends and family. A large country park with lots of walking paths according to your ability whether its is a short 30 minutes walk or a 3 hours long hike. A dog friendly country park with a small playground for young kids with suitable protective grounds. Your dogs and kids would love the environment, the cafe seems a bit small as we come as a group of 30 people. Ample parking space but it may get a little busy during weekend and bank holidays.

What a fantastic place. There are lots to see and explore, a little challenging at times, but nothing problematic, be prepared for a little walk in the great and green environment with a river crossing from left to right.

Absolutely love it here. Beautiful place for a walk or picnic or just to relax and enjoy the lake and streams. There's even a salmon run! Amazing. Little cafe for coffee, snacks and simple food. Playground for the kids too.

One of our favourite places to visit as a family. Absolutely fantastic walk with a wide vast area to explore. Can find many insects, birds and other animals here throughout the year.

Great place to walk round or follow the River through to Duxbury Woods.
Another slow walk round the lake today, the water levels are probably the lowest I've seen them over the recent years.

Fantastic place to visit. There are a few different paths to explore and the walks are very tranquil. There are also 2 large ponds and a fun play area for the kids. You could even take a bucket and spade as the play area is all sand. There is a nice cafe just on the car park and there are plenty of benches about to sit down.

Very nice walk and waterfall feature, free parking on site and a cafe on the car park.

Paths are suitable for prams as I saw someone pushing one around, although there are stairs for varied routes. You can get to the waterfall without needing to climb the stairs.

Nice places to sit on benches, and information about the wildlife dotted around.

An absolutely gorgeous country park with walks for all abilities. The wildlife is stunning, especially at this time of year with a beautiful winter sun.
