A nice place with free parking... didn't even know this place existed or that oswestry ever had a race course. Good for walking with or without dogs, some great views and very much quiet and undiscovered feeling.

Great place to walk with dogs - pretty flat, well maintained, plenty of benches & lots of parking space. Wonderful views to enjoy at various stops, & shelter under trees if it's too windy or rainy

Fab place for some history and a peaceful stroll. Views have probably diminished over time as tree cover has grown. You'll need to venture off piste to see surrounding vistas if that's why you're going. We added the course onto a walk up offas dyke, so enjoyed the extra, but if you're parking at the site only, expect just the walk.

Great place for a family walk not too long at about 1.5 miles. Has lots of dog walkers. Best time to visit is during the week as gets quite busy at weekend.

Nice free open common with plenty of footpaths into adjoining woods. Fantastic views from the top. The smell of the bluebells at the moment is lovely.

We enjoyed staying. The breakfast is very good (but cold). The place is an ongoing renovation project to a high standard.

Beautiful, can't see the views on the plaques though, trees are blocking the views.... Not a bad thing though. Great for dog walking or off road cycling. No playgrounds, no cafe, no amenities. 😊

Ideal spot for taking the dogs for a walk. Good car park and not too hilly.. The bluebells are wonderful in the spring

Stunning views, wonderful walks in woodlands and the fresh air is so beautiful and feathered friends sing as you walk along or are still enjoying it all.

A great place for a walk with the dog, the kids or just on your own. Short and long routes available, out on the plain or through the woods. Highly recommended

Even though we lived in the area for over 20 years, we're only now visiting the racecourse at bluebell time. What a treat! Stunning flowers, gentle walking and far reaching views over North Shropshire.

Beautiful grounds and many were walking their dogs. Incidentally no facilities on site, albeit this wasn't a surprise.

Lovely place for a walk, just a shame that the lazy dog owner's can't be bothered picking up their dog poo so constantly telling the kids to watch where they step.
