Tailored Journeys is a brilliant travel agent, Manoj and the team can’t be more helpful. Manoj started by giving us an itinerary based on our initial request which we then fined tuned until we got the trip and the price exactly right with the help of the team. Our booking was an amazing trip which included a personal tour around Sri Lanka and then finished up in the Maldives. The trip itself was booked as our honeymoon but due to Covid we had to postpone the trip. Manoj was brilliant all the way through and no problem with returns etc like I heard about other agencies. Highly recommend! Just about to speak to the team about our next adventure 😀

I can't recommend Tailored Journeys highly enough. I'd not used a travel agent to book a holiday for about 30 years, but Manoj and team reminded me why it's SO worth it. They created the MOST wonderful 2-week holiday for us in Sri Lanka, suggesting a fabulous itinerary tailored completely to our likes, dislikes and budget. The team and our guide on the ground (Siraj) was just the best - we got so much more joy out of the holiday than if we'd gone on our own, being gently encouraged to experience everything there was to see, taste and feel. We hadn't laughed so much in a long time as we soaked in all the wonders Sri Lanka had to offer! Thank you to all at Tailored Journeys - we'll be back for our next adventure soon!

Being of senior age I do not usually write on reviews forums but in this case I have made an exception.

While we are sitting poolside at Taru Villa Bentota I thought now would be the perfect time to drop you a note, hopefully you may use it for any ‘clients comments’ areas you have set up.

From the moment Rajith our guide welcomed us at the arrivals hall until this poolside moment, Karen & I have truly had the most memorable, seamless and stress free vacation in all the years we have travelled together (many many).

It would be too long a read to mention all the highlights of our time here but one of 2 things stand out:

1) The quality of each of the 5 hotels you have booked for us was exceptional. Cinnamon Lodge was a fabulous starting point, great room, attentive service (once our early check in issues were over) and fabulous buffet to cater for so many guests. Kandy for 1 night was also extremely high standard. Then on to Grand Lodge, although the room was not up to the other hotels the history, staff and restaurant were 1st class, plus we did not travel to Sri Lanka for the room so this was not a major downside for us.

98 Acres in Ella was eye opening and jaw dropping. From the view from our room, to the wonderful service and culinary delights offered at the restaurant this hotel was something unique and very special.

Then in to tbis little gem in Bentota. We thought 98 Acres would be hard to beat but this place has is the epitome of calm and making their guests feel so special. Having now walked the spectacular shoreline and sipping our cocktail and beer at poolside it could not be a more perfect place to finish our trip.

2) It cannot go without mention the attention to detail our wonderful guide Rajith gave. We did at first wonder how things would work being with a guide for 9-10 days but it didn’t take us long to figure out how lucky we were to have him with us. He wasn’t just a guide, he was our chauffeur, professor of all things Sri Lankan, totally punctual and trustworthy, went out of his way to find me the best currency exchange companies, our bodyguard, entertainer and in the end we have found a new friend.

I realise these guys maybe aren’t remunerated particularly well but this guy needs to be looked after by your Sri Lankan counterpart or they may lose him to a competitor. He is a walking one man Sri Lankan tourist board. We did give him a token of our appreciation and can only hope the agency he works for over here give him enough work so other lucky visitors can benefit from spending time with him. He was our angel and he really did make the whole trip special for us. I could not be more sincere of how we felt of him.

So thank you for going out of your way in making this a special trip for us, you said it would be the trip of a lifetime and that’s how it felt all along.

We shall definitely be singing your praises to friends and family and hope to travel again with you some day.

We have nothing but the highest of praise for Tailored Journeys. Personally recommended by my brother, I did not know what to expect as we have never had a holiday planned for us before-and we couldn't have been happier or more delighted with the whole experience. Manoj made it easy for us-our 40th wedding anniversary celebration-we knew we wanted a safari with a beach finish, but little else! Having patiently steered us through choices, we narrowed it to Kenya and Zanzibar, and Tailored journeys designed the trip of a lifetime! From the moment we were met at the airport in Nairobi, until we returned to fly home, everything ran smoothly-it felt as if we didn't have to think for ourselves! All pre-arranged excursions, lodges, game drives, transfers etc worked like a dream- exactly as set out in our itinerary. Manoj even 'checked in' via whatsapp part way through to see if all was ok! I cant really comment on 'hitches' as we didn't really have any-but I know they would have been easily sorted by Tailored Journeys had they occurred. I needed tips on just about everything, as we have never been to Africa before, and Manoj was always responsive to my frequent emails or phone calls- no matter how daft my questions must have seemed! I cant recommend more highly!

I booked my honeymoon through Manoj at Tailored Journeys. The itineraries he showed us were well laid out and extremely thorough. We made lots of changes and took his recommendations on what activities to include. Our trip had to be delayed due to political turmoil in Sri Lanka in 2022 and the whole process was managed really well by Tailored Journeys. We were allowed to wait until the last minute to postpone, and when we did, some of the additional costs of postponement were borne by Tailored Journeys. We were able to fulfill exactly the same itinerary as originally planned which was great. Manoj was very responsive to our queries around the time of booking, and in the period leading up to the departure date which was great, although response times were slower in the interim period as I imagine there were higher priorities. We felt the honeymoon page could've had more functionality, however the ones I've seen with more features often charge a commission and Tailored Journeys is complimentary, so can't complain too much there. The trip itself was fantastic and that is in large part to the people who looked after us in Sri Lanka through Tailored Journeys. In summary, I would recommend Tailored Journeys as a travel agent for any large trips because the itineraries are extremely well laid out and detailed, and Manoj is responsive and easy to work with during both planning and execution.

Booked our honeymoon to South Africa through Tailored Journeys and couldn’t recommend their services enough! Throughout the planning stages they listened to what we wanted to create our bespoke itinerary and it was so easy to see how the trip would work with the itinerary page they set up for us- which included: flights, transfers, accommodation details. We were also able to share this with our wedding guests who could gift money or experiences towards our honeymoon.

Our trip ran so smoothly and was a once in a lifetime experience- we stayed in the most beautiful places and had the best experiences. We are so thankful to Manoj and the team for everything they did.

Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done in an extremely professional but very friendly manner. we have had an excellent experience with Manoj and his team. we planned our holiday to Sri Lanka a couple of years ago; we wanted to change a few areas of the itinerary and this was accommodated with no problems at all by Tailored Journeys. Unfortunately we haven't been able to fulfill our itinerary, due to the Easter bombings in 2019 and Covid in 2020. However I have no doubt when we do eventually get to Sri Lanka it will be a holiday of a lifetime. In both of these cases our deposit has been returned to us with no problem at all. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tailored Journeys to anyone.

Manoj at Tailored Journeys provided our family with excellent customer service. Due to COVID-19, we had to reschedule our holiday and then, because our destination was not on the approved foreign office list, we changed to another destination. Throughout, Manoj was quick and efficient and provided us with clear information. Perhaps most impressive of all was the fact that Tailored Journeys refunded us the cost of our flights and deposit BEFORE they had received the refund from the airline and resort! We can’t recommend them highly enough and would definitely use their services in the future.

We were told about Tailored Journeys by a colleague of mine when I asked about his Sri Lankan trip. On his recommendation we contacted Manoj and he put together an itinerary for us based on what we told him we were interested in. We left the UK on 6th March and returned on the 23rd just as the UK was closing down. The Si Lankan holiday was a wonderful experience with excellent hotels and organised expeditions and that was made even better by our driver/guide Sam who was a mine of information. The only draw-back was the cancellation of the Whale watching trip, but this was due to a government directive based on the Corona-19 pandemic. (Tailored Journeys’ refund was in our account within a couple of weeks without any problems, thanks). However, the most impressive aspect was the care and attention shown by Manoj and the people at Viluxur Holidays SL in monitoring the ongoing situation and keeping us informed and assured of what was happening both in Sri Lanka and the UK making it a stress free holiday.

I can not express just how good this firm is. The level of effort & professionalism is just beyond compare. My 2 month trip was meticulously planned by Manoj & every question I asked was answered promptly, he gave me suggestions, from his extensive knowledge, in all countries I'm visiting & was just an all around superstar with his help. I was always given 2 (or more) suggestions for accommodation, as well as transport options & activities within the countries & he even got me an upgrade on the super long flights to Beijing. I also got this very cool leather holder & travel tag which has all of my flights and documentation in it.
