I am really loving the painting classes with Hayley. She makes the lesson so enjoyable & I'm learning such a lot. It's also great that I can access the lesson for a week afterwards so if i miss the Zoom session for any reason I can access it later. Thank you Denman At Home for this excellent service.

I really enjoyed my first Drawing Club with Felicity last night. In an hour we produced a delightful piece of work with her patient guiding and interesting background about the buildings we drew together. Relaxing, mindful and completely absorbing. Really took my mind off a lingering chest infection and really delighted with the end result.. Thank you!

I recently attended Felicity's on-line crochet demonstration for her Summer Shawl, it was really good. I attend as many of the crochet classes as I can, Felicity is a great teacher, explains things clearly and you get a really good view of how to work the crochet stitches. Also having the pattern and recorded session sent out is really helpful, you can watch again, particularly the tricky bits! Thank you Felicity!

Thoroughly enjoyed the drawing club with Felicity last night. It was my first time attending, instructions and pace was easy to keep up with. A lovely relaxing way to start the month off & have a lovely drawing in my pad. Will definitely attend another one, Thank you

As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed Liz’s session. This time it was on making Waterfall cards. Her step by step guide and her clear instructions gave me a good idea of how to make a waterfall card. I find Liz’s hints and advice on craft items very useful. Liz is very easy to listen to. Thank you.

It's many many years since I did any painting for pleasure and I'm sure acrylics hadn't been invented! I can't believe how much I am enjoying Hilary's courses and learning from all her hints, and encouragement. Her step by step instructions make it easy to achieve your own masterpiece!

I took part in the Drawing Club (Free) on 5 July 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed the session. Hope to enrol for more months as they become available and have recommended them to a friend. It was a lovely way to spend time learning quick and easy ways to draw and achieve a page in my drawing book at the end of the class knowing that i will be able to repeat it in different ways. Many thanks Felicity and looking forward to the next one.

I was impressed with how Sheila May Green completed the bag within the hour. That makes it short enough in time and therefore manageable for me to try it. I have a bag similar to this zip bag I bought in Tanzania that is now worn out so I am delighted to have Sheila's clear demonstration so I can replace it. Seeing the methods and tips is so important. Thank you Denman at Home for making this possible.

I joined Felicity’s Art session for the first time on 1 November and really enjoyed it. I found her instructions easy to follow and she was very pleasant.

It was the first time I have done a painting course with Hayley and thoroughly enjoyed it…..I will be back for more

Just completed the introduction to resin jewellery course with Eleanor. A very enjoyable course, well explained and demonstrated. It's given me confidence to try the process at home. I hope Eleanor will do some more courses in the future.

Really enjoyed Peters talk Beneath Londons street Peter was very knowledgeable and informative . The hour just flew by. Looking forward to watching the recording again. Thank you

I joined in the Upcycled Bubble Wrap Bags workshop this week and although she was really nervous Sheila May led us through how to make these bags. I’ll be making them for Christmas and will pop in a bar of soap. If I get time they might be felted bars of soap! Thank you Sheila. Can’t wait for the next one!

I have been taking part in Hayley's Acrylic painting course for the last six months. It has been a very informative and instructive way to develop my art skills. Hayley is an extremely patient and relaxing instructor. I haven't always been able to attend a live session so it's a useful device to have the ability to watch later in the week and paint at a more leisurely pace and use the pause facility to make a cup of tea!

Excellent talk this week from Simon on Five Ode`s by Keats. Finally understood the meaning of an Ode, and the life of Keats, and why he was writing at this time in his career. Thank you Simon, informative and well worth attending, this will help me in my English literature studies.

Simon Gregor’s talk on Douglas Dunn: Simon is an amazing lecturer who brings his passion for the subject to his audience. I have listened to many of his Denman lectures and now rarely listen to any other Denman speaker because he is just so good. I had not read any of Douglas Dunn’s works before. Simon read them with such sensitivity, he transported us to Dunn’s world. Simon’s analysis is crystal clear and he always leaves me eager to read more.

I really enjoyed Hayley's Acrylic Painting Course in the style of Van Gogh's Starry Night. It was the first time I'd attended a painting course and also used acrylic paints. I had to follow the recording, as I couldn't stay for the entirety of the live session.

The pre-course material was very clear and well organised. Hayley's explanations were extremely clear and helpful, and she allowed good time for us to follow her. She was also very encouraging and realistic as to what could be achieved in the time.

I found the session so enjoyable that I am coming back for more!

I tuned in to Felicity Crafts drawing a picture for November. It was delightful - very clear instructions and demonstration of how to do it. A really relaxing hour!

Laura’s earring making course was excellent and I am now confident to make some. Not only did she show us how to make them she also explained about the materials and how to use colours. Will certainly book her next course.
