Bassett Pharmacy

I find the staff very friendly and helpful each time I visited. Very good service. The pharmacist is extremely helpful, reassuring and went out of his way to help me in short time when I explained him my concern.

Recently I had to go into Bassett Pharmacy to see if they had something for some spots on my forehead that had come up overnight. The pharmacist was called for and she advised that it looked like shingles and should be treated quickly as some were near my eye. I went to the walk-in clinic and had antiviral prescribed. Had I not seen the pharmacist, I would have had much worse symptoms (bad enough even with antivirals) and potentially issues with my eyes.

This pharmacy has greatly improved from previous ownership. I went to get some medication as was unwell, pharmacist was very helpful. I was also able to get medication, I couldn't get from my normal pharmacy. Considering swapping back to this one again now, after many years if avoiding it. Thankyou for your help!

My family have used this Pharmacy when it was Sunaks. NHS family ran it & looked after my parents with medication & Forecips delivery to them before anyone else did. Now I'm getting my COVID jab there, always friendly & welcoming.

Luckily we don't have a lot of need to use the pharmacy for medication but recent experience proves that there's a huge improvement since the new owners/management have taken over - thank goodness. Well done and good luck.

Lovely, very busy, well staffed little pharmacy. NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH BURGESS ROAD SURGERY! Attended here for my covid jab and was offered flu jab. Perfect. Small wait but well worth it. Very helpful man serving. Left with everything I needed. Will return here in future.

Absolutely perfect service. I called around several pharmacies for my babies prescription and all the others either said they could not get it for 24 hours or it did not exist in liquid form, which is what I needed.
The male in this pharmacy was great. He ordered it for me at midday and it arrived by 5pm. He even stayed open a bit later for me, as I was stuck in traffic and could not get there before they closed. Could not fault the service at all :-)

Great little chemist! Very professional, knowledgeable & great customer service.

I have never had a problem with this pharmacy. Unlike many others the prescription that has been sent direct from the GP is ready when I go to collect it. The assistants are always friendly, polite and helpful. Some reviews have mentioned that they close for lunch. Other pharmacies close the dispensary counter for lunch as well for legal reasons. They are not allowed to give out prescriptions or sell certain medicines when the pharmacist is having their lunch break. They also offer deliveries where appropriate.

No place is perfect, some of the reviews are a bit harsh and outdated IMO. I agree the previous pharmacist was a bit skatty, unfriendly and lacked charm; I had a few experiences of that myself, however things are changing there and their staff are friendly, helpful and approachable; no complaints. They smile to customers too which is always nice to see. During the change-over period they did their best (not easy without a full-time pharmacist), obviously under pressure - things are leveling out now as expected. I'd like to see some nicer reviews being posted now, they are doing their best; sure not perfect and can be slow preparing prescriptions sometimes, but certainly improving in many areas. Helpful over the phone too. Giving 5 stars due to above to inspire them hopefully to continue improvements.

When I spoke to the pharmacist he was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to explain everything to me. He was also very polite and had a calming demeanour, which really helped with my anxiety. If he is reading this comment, thank you so much for the advice.

Very competently run. Shop is immaculately tidy. Prescriptions are delivered promptly & I was given assistance to leave the premises with my rollator.

I read the first four reviews for Bassett Pharmacy on this website and wondered if we were thinking of the same place. The service here is excellent and the staff are very helpful. My repeat prescription is sent over by my doctor but if I have an extra prescription which I take in to the shop I have never had to wait more than a few minutes.

These guys have been looking after my family for more than a decade and have always found a way to help over any problem that arises while covering off the day-to-day stuff (like my repeat prescriptions) efficiently. We actively choose not to go elsewhere. Keep it up!

Friendly staff and I found the medicine what I was looking for.

This pharmacy is excellent, they have really gone the extra mile to help get my husband an alternative drug when his prescriptions couldn't be fulfilled due to manufacturers issues. Incredibly helpful and lovely with it.

I have been there twice in the past 4 months, and coming here to see these reviews, I am a bit surprised. The staff are alright and very helpful.
