Bassil Chemist

I used this pharmacy for the first time today. What a delight all the staff were. I had spent the afternoon trudging around all the city pharmacies but none had an essential medication except this one and they reserved it for us. The pharmacist also offered an alternative to another very difficult medication to get. No other pharmacy had. The pharmacy was incredibly busy but the staff greeted everyone with a smile.

I recently changed from a troublesome pharmacy to Bassil chemist, and I am so pleased that I did. I've found them to be efficient, civil and very helpful. It's a small intimate place and their treatment of me has been excellent. I would definitely recommend them.

On a daily basis the staff have to deal with nightmare customers - idiots who can’t face queuing - who don’t realise how lucky they are, but their professionalism never wavers.
Every single one of them is friendly and polite, and I absolutely believe they really care that I’m ok. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Absolutely love this pharmacy there staff are so friendly and the pharmacist Martin is so lovely they never tell me to come back another day most I’ve waited is 15-20mins for prescription there so nice :) chelcee x

Since moving to Southampton from the New forest 2 years ago I’ve changed my previous chemist to Bassil Chemist
I must say all the staff are very helpful they listen to my questions and are very professional in the way they help me, I have never had any problems with with anything I have ever gone to them for,some times it will get a little busy because they are so popular with the local community….so what’s a little patience to get your medical needs seen to.

A brilliant local pharmacy. Mentioned a problem and was offered a blood pressure test(pretty high!) was then offered a 24h monitor there and then as available and all free. Next day I was given a print out and advice, data was also forwarded to GP. Outstanding, It would be hard to get this service from my surgery (moan about NHS underfunding)
This is an inner city pharmacy don’t expect no queue at busy times but when served, you are the most important person.

After 6pm there is free parking in the car park right next to the shop, at that sort of time the shop is very quiet as well
