Lovely park with a big kids playground. They have unique variety of swings, slides and climbers. A good cafe next to the playground. There is a large lake where you can hire a boat ride. Overall a very good place to spend some peaceful time with family or solo.

We walked around both path routes, which was about 4.5 miles. Some slopes but mostly pretty flat. All able to be an off-lead walk for the dog, although we did use the lead once or twice to go past ducks being fed and the cafe which is dog-friendly although I think you have to sit outside (we didn’t check). Parking is £2 for 6 hours which is good. It is a very pretty place to walk, all proper footpaths and plenty of open grass for ball-throwing. We went in the week so it wasn’t super-busy but there were still people, many with dogs, passing us by regularly. I’d be here all the time if we lived closer.

So lucky to have this beautiful park on my doorstep. Great to see so many people out in the autumn sun enjoying the facilities, the lake and the walks. Always plenty of quiet areas away from the play area. A real gem and left to the town of Maidstone for people to enjoy. Beautiful.

First time visiting the boating lake area of the park,we had gone to watch the half marathon. Plenty of parking (£2.50 for 6 hours) with toilets and cafe nearby, also a mobile coffee van at the lakeside. Beautiful views with plenty of seating. Choice of different areas to walk with proper pathways so no muddy feet or dogs. Will definitely go again.

Excellent park for dog walking. It is so vast it never feels crowded. It has so many different zones; boating lake, hills, miniature railway! Amazing playground with a sandpit and lots of climbing equipment. The cafe is great but does get crowded.

We really enjoyed our visit to the park. The park had a very big children’s playground and a big lake as the two big main things. When we visited the park there was also a concert/festival (not sure) so there was quite loud music everywhere but it didn’t really disturb our visit. There are toilets in the park which are relatively clean and not too bad. In addition there is also a food dispenser which dispenses duck food if you pay £1.50, the amount that you get given is decent. Make sure to bring a back or put your hands underneath because some of the food may fall on the floor and it will be quite disappointing since you payed for it. The ducks and other birds are friendly and can even be fed from hand or you can throw the food into water. It was sad to see people be lazy or just ignorant and feed the birds with bread/crisps and whatever else they had as it hurts the animals. In addition, we went to swim on the lake in the boats where you peddle, it was £20 for 30min or £25 for an hour. They only take cash so if you don’t have any you won’t be able to try it. The park also had a few historical locations about which it was written about in some areas of the park and you could go visit them if you wanted to see. I think there was also a cafe at the start of the park and there was a big car park.

Great place for a dog walk. Hard pathways to walk, or you can go over the fields if you prefer. There are plenty of benches to sit on if you don't want to do a circuit of the lake in one go and other paths that take you off the beaten track.
There is a new cafe near the play area that allows well-behaved dogs in doors on the lead. Gets very busy at the weekend.

What a great place. Lovely, lengthy walks on solid paths. Fantastic trees, great views. Great cafe. Whats not to like?

A beautiful park that we are lucky to have on our doorsteps. A huge space for walkers, cyclists, and dog walkers to all enjoy without crossing paths too often, lots of space for kids to play with 2 playgrounds and a sports field, and v. Reasonable kayak/canoe/SUP board/pedalo hire on the lake! Oh and lots of places to fish, if that's your vibe. Looking forward to the new cafe opening too! Lots of community events and activities in the summer months, and lots of wildlife and nature to enjoy including squirrels, woodpeckers, pheasants, herons, and terrapins.

A really beautiful well kept park.
No litter in site, and responsible dog owners, felt very safe to walk around.
Parking is expensive but worth it as the park is spotless.
Nice toilets that are clean and well stocked. Cafe is a generous size with eat in and takeaway. There is a big play park all a bit beige in colour but they have enough section for all ages.

I love Moat Park and so does our pup! Great place to walk around and the lake has pedalos which are great in the summer.
Definitely treat yourself to a big slice of cake and hot chocolate at the cafe as it does not disappoint!

We have finally turfed the area to the front.
Also adding 2 borders.
There is still lots to do landscaping around the area.
All I ask of the public is to please be careful when walking on the grass.
I had to place up a fencing to stop the public walking across the border

Wow such a lovely park right in the heart of Maidstone. It has won awards it's that nice. Plus it's huge. Like 450 acres. Many paths to walk or bike on. Kid friendly with modern play parks. Plus an area for tree top climbing and crazy golf. There's a lovely large lake to feed the ducks and go on a boat in summer. You can buy duck feed by the lake using a small automated machine. Useful idea. Plenty of beauty spots to see. A big Café / Restaurant that's built now. Great coffee's on offer. Plus a brand new toilet block. All to a lovely standard. Ice cream trucks too. Loads of room for picnics and family gatherings. Or a great place to walk the dog. Biking around here is great too. Overall amazing place to visit. Great if you live in Maidstone or visit sometime. Also there's a large sports leisure centre with plenty of activities and a great swimming poo tool. Plenty of parking. So 100 percent Worth a look... It's Brilliant

Lovely place to visit, beautiful views of the lake and wildlife as you are walking around. Perfect for a picnic or a place to take children as there is also a massive park. Pay and display parking but reasonable price for a day out!

I visited when it was foggy to get some cold foggy photos but its even more beautiful in the summer!

Update: have visited multiple times, great place to feed the ducks and soak up a bit of sun! Added a few more photos

Such a lovely park with far reaching views and plenty to do.
Nice that there are wide paths to walk on in wet weather so do not have to get muddy boots.
The mobile kiosk is clean, friendly and reasonable prices for quality food.
Would be nice to have boot cleaning or hose areas to rinse doggy paws.
