Queen Victoria Hospital

My husband had to have two skin cancers removed from his nose which involved a skin graft.
All the staff who treated him including the amazing Mr King, the surgeon and his associate Fiona ( sorry he doesn't remember her surname) and all the nurses who redressed the wounds afterwards, were so lovely!
Husband says the two surgeons were having a comical race over who could finish their excision and graft first, which really amused him. The nurses doing the dressings the next week had to pause because he made them giggle so much. All in all it was a lovely way to experience a worrying thing.
Queen Victoria Hospital is a lovely place filled with happy staff and we were glad we got sent there.

I cannot commend this Hospital and its staff highly enough. As a very anxious patient with a phobia of hospitals and surgery, every single doctor, nurse, consultant, porter, receptionist and anesthetist, with without exception was fantastic with me and I must say I have never experienced such kindness, patience and professionalism anywhere. What an amazing bunch and testament to the NHS. Keep up the amazing jobs you do! Can't thank you enough.

Absolutely brilliant!!! The staff are wonderful. It's hospitals like this that gives you pride in our NHS and I fully support and understand their need for better salary/ work package. My sincere thanks for the care, understanding and professionalism I was given whilst in their care.

Possibly only occasions I've not minded being seen in hospital but this is an amazing place with wonderful staff,seen promptly and taken care of fully, I'm glad I went after burning my foot with hot water.. greatest of gratitude to all staff here

Went in for surgery . And I have to say I am really impressed with all the medical staff , so friendly well mannered and really took time out to cater for your needs . They were really supportive and caring . I felt very well lookafterd and I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone. I can never sleep in hospitals but I managed to in this one. They even moved me to a quieter ward and were so considerate . Everyone is helpful and you don’t feel anxious to ask for help ! My surgeons seemed great despite last minute changes and my anaesthetist really made me feel at ease. Keep up the great work !

I have just been on my 3rd visit at the maxillofacial department of QVH and have received excellent patient care every time. Reception team and the HCA are friendly and polite, appointment was on time and I can't thank Dr Gilvetti enough for being the best doctor and for the effective treatment.Highly recommended.

I couldn't get better care if I were in a private hospital. Nurse and doctors was extremely helpful and friendly.

I am thankful for the whole NHS team at QVM hospital following my multiple lipomas removal surgery. After a week I can confirm that I am recovering very well. The staffs and nurses were very helpful and accommodating and it was all done in about 4 hours. I cannot thank enough for the smooth process of the operation and the team of professional staffs.

What an extraordinary place. People smiling, nurses (I think) saying ‘good morning’ to you with a. Smile as your walk along the corridor. An air of calm which is very reassuring, even if there is furious paddling under the surface. Thank you all for a pleasant and reassuring experience when you are probably under the same pressures as the rest of the nhs

I was helped by Dr Reguna today and I was in very very good hands. Not only did he help me with the problem I was misdiagnosed by another doctor for days earlier but I would also like to mention how professional he was, how well and fast he handled the things he had to deal with but also how cared for I felt. I wish I could have him as my GP

My 10 year old son had hand surgery at Queen Victoria Hospital. Everyone; the receptionist, the nurses, all the team working in theatre and of course the surgeon were fantastic, very friendly, working efficiently and making sure my son felt comfortable and well. The building needs renewing but the staff couldn’t be better. To all of them -Thank you very much!

I've had such a good experience here in my 2 visits. The Sleep Clinic staff are so friendly and helpful, from the receptionists, especially Jude for being so friendly and efficient and helping me with an issue,to the clinic nurses, Uri and the Filipino lady, (sorry I don't remember your name) who were both very patient and kind explaining new medical equipment and dealing with my concerns, to the consultants who have been working overtime to get the wait list down to 2 months rather than the year wait at my local hospital. I'm really glad I chose to come here and the CPAP had already made such a difference for me. I just wanted to leave a review to say everyone I've met here is brilliant, warm, friendly and dedicated to their jobs and are credit to the NHS. Thank you for treating me.

Had a surgery here back in May, the staff were incredibly kind and explained everything well especially my anaesthesiologist who helped me not feel as scared. The only thing I'd say that bothered me would be the fact that I was on a shared children's ward after the surgery and it was really loud as there was 2 really young kids nonstop crying despite the staff and parents efforts. Other than that all staff were incredible and the ones doing my outpatient appointments now are also extremely kind and explain whats going on very well too.

I would like to thank the nurses and doctors on Margaret Duncome ward for the way they looked after and ceared for my wife, who was admitted yesterday the 23rd of /04 /23 at8am with a badly infected finger/hand .she was operated on the same afternoon, and is well enough to come home later today. We can't thank them all enough for their kindness and support they gave us.
