Friendly place with lovely food and great service. The walls and ceiling are lined with interesting, nautical themed decor, including a collection of hundreds of bottles of sand from beaches around the UK. We liked it so much we went back a second time the following day!

The only problem was they couldn't accept tips via card, so bring some cash!

Lovely place at a beautiful location.
Great atmosphere and service, also very dog friendly which is a must for us.
I imagine booking is essential as it was extremely busy on a very wet and windy day in December so can only presume it would be very popular in Summer.
Cannot wait to return in the summer to take in the beautiful scenery.

Excellent food and service! Been twice in the past two weeks. Between us we've had the bacon cheese burger with rarebit sauce, seafood linguine and steak special. All absolutely gorgeous! ❤❤❤

We had the special of popcorn chicken and fries, seasoned and served with nacho cheese sauce and crispy bacon pieces. It was amazing, filling and such a good portion for the price. We took out two small dogs with us and theu were more than accommodating. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The place itself was warm and inviting. The hot chocolates are so so good ! Definitely recommend!

This was a right find, we didn't book, had 3 small dogs and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We had a meal and drink. The food came out quickly and was excellent, good portion sizes for feeders amongst us. Once you have had your meal, you can walk it off on the beach just 30 seconds away. The menu had plenty to offer at great prices. Would return to Anglesey just to eat here again.

The restaurant itself is very nicely laid out and has a very nice atmosphere, love all the sea related decorations, even had the shipping forecast in the toilets which I thought was a cool touch. The greeting and initial welcome was friendly and helpful, we had our dog who was welcomed and fussed. We ordered the steak sandwich which came with fries and salad and a couple of shandies, the dog had some dog friendly ice cream, this came to £42. The food was delicious and of good quality, probably the best steak sandwich I've had. Highly recommended 👌.

Great service, wonderful food and gorgeous decoration.

Popped in for lunch today - had the mussels with fries. Absolutely stunning - creamy sauce, well cooked mussels and served with warm sourdough.

Service was on point, attentive and friendly. The woman that served us even recommended we order the kids dish as it was cheaper! Great service!!

Highly recommend spot, even just for a pint and a bite.

We visited in the summer and it was very busy in the early evening. Though we didn't have a reservation, we did manage to get a table. The staff were very accommodating. On a Thursday night, the place was hopping. I ordered Calamari to start and the Chicken & Smoked Bacon Carbonara pasta. My wife had the Local Welsh Sirloin Steak. Both meals were incredible. Topped it off with some ice cream. Highly recommend. Suggest booking a reservation instead of just showing up like we did.

The menu is extensive and has something for everyone. I recommend the Whitby Scampi, which was succulent and breaded to perfection. The portions are on the large size, which makes for a really good value meal. The service was friendly and warm and efficient. The restaurant is licensed with a decent choice of alcohol. There is also a very popular ice cream parlour at the front and an open bar on the side, which is open to an extensive decking area overlooking the beach. I highly recommend a visit if you are ever in this beautiful part of Wales.

This place is utterly magic, it’s somewhere I will never forget. My wife and I were travelling through this town and were advised to go here by a local.

The staff seated us without a reservation despite being extremely busy as it seems they always are and we had the best meal of a whole travels across Wales.

The staff were a little slow but I can forgive this as the waitress admitted she was new and still learning, her team picked up the slack anyway so was all good by us.

I strongly recommend you free the steak sandwich and mussels.

And make sure you check out the decor, it’s something to remember.

Huge restaurant by the sea, dog friendly and a great variety of food and drinks. The food was great and service too. Lovely place to stop before boarding the ferry. They do doggie ice cream and our puppy loved it. The walks around the restaurant were good, sadly it didn’t stop raining but it was still pleasant.

An absolute gem, we were hungry and looking for somewhere to eat. We approached from South Stack, and it looked OK. When we went inside, it was anything but ordinary. What a stunning restaurant this is the walls and ceiling are a feast for the eyes, so many curious items, boats, jars of sand from all across the globe, flotsam and jetsam, shells of all types. This meant that you ended up talking about it with complete strangers. Moving on to the food, fantastic choices, many are suitable for or can be adapted to a gluten-free diet. It was delivered in a timely manner, no long waits, even though it was very busy. The staff are excellent, always available and very attentive without being overbearing. We will be back.

It is child and dog friendly.

Couldn't recommend Sea Shanty Cafe highly enough. You won't be disappointed.

We really enjoyed our visit here. It's much bigger than I expected and I thought there might be a bit of a wait for the food, but there wasn't. The service was excellent. Staff are really helpful and attentive and the food was great. I had the chocolate brownie with ice cream and honeycomb and I think I'd drive all the way to Anglesey for that alone - it was divine! The best I've ever had.

Amazing experience, fabulous decor, music was spot on, staff very nice and attentive, food delicious. We came for the first time to North Wales and will definitely come back as Sea Shanty made our holiday feel even more special. Cozy accommodation, breathtaking views and heartwarming food-name a better trio.
If you pass by, make sure to go in and try the Mocha coffee and the Camembert starter.

Nothing less than superb.
We stopped in having been for a walk along the bay and first looking at the restaurant on the beach with a rediculously short menu!
We've been before but this time decided to mix it up a big by having 1 fish and chips and a couple of starters between us..

Scores on the doors.
Halloumi fries are among the best I have had, anywhere.
Pork belly in Hoi sin sauce with real crackling on the pork 😁 This place may call itself a café but this is restaurant quality food. Fantastic.
Duck Spring Rolls with a chilli dip. This dish would put many a Chinese restaurant to shame. Fat, flavoursome, fresh, lightly fried. Only "complaint" would be that there was only 3!
Thoroughly tasty fish and chips with big chips, homemade (I think) mushy peas, great tartare sauce and fresh fish in light batter 😋
Great decor, friendly, attentive staff (that don't crowd you), good selection of beers, lagers AND cocktails!
Not cheap but you get what you pay for. This place has stepped up its game and taken over as the best restaurant in Trearddur after The Black Sea left.

I love the place the. Food Is great the staff are friendly the Ice cream staff a bit dry and abrupt and I felt like me and my family were a bit of a inconvenience to her but I spoke to one guy who was apparently the Co owner of the building and I felt he was a bit of a tool he was rude towards me because I politely asked him to use the toilet he could have said no but he was rude sarcastic and condescending towards me I am concerned that people like him will put the building out of business and good people will be out of a job because of pretentious bullies like that guy.
