Bodnant Surgery

I suffer with various mental health conditions so certain things can be very difficult for me. Every member of staff at Bodnant Surgery that I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to have supported me more than I have ever been supported before by any other surgery. I cannot speak highly enough of them they are literally changing lives for the better on a daily basis with their kind, caring, supportive, professional, non judgemental approach to patient care. I have read some negative reviews on their website and I have to say that my experience has been the complete opposite. I guess some people are impatient and don't like the word no. I would highly recommend Bodnant Surgery.

The reception staff were fantastic and so helpful! The GPs were very nice and friendly. Me and my family are so glad we moved and finally have the help and care we deserve.

I was very sceptical of registering to Bodnant because of all the negative reviews I read before I moved to Bangor but my experience has been nothing but pleasant with them.

I have had undiagnosed health issues for just over three years and my hometown doctors have left me feeling disregarded and hopeless in terms of ever knowing what has been causing all of my ongoing issues. This past week, I had been experiencing another flare up and contacted Bodnant. I was given an urgent appointment and saw the doctor within two hours.

Dr Catrin Williams is one of the nicest people I have ever met, she was compassionate and extremely helpful during and after my appointment. I had a blood test the same day with a nurse who was also lovely.

A few days after my blood test, I was contacted by Catrin, and she provided me with a diagnosis that my previous doctors couldn't do in over three years. I feel massive relief to finally understand why I have been struggling all this time and I would like thank the staff at Bodnant for providing such a welcoming, professional service and to let them know how much of a difference they have made to my life in such a short amount of time.

I have nothing but positive experiences to share about Bodnant Surgery.
I don’t often need the doctor but whenever I’ve needed support I’ve filled in the e consultation and been offered a telephone consultation a day or two later. I’ve never had an issue being seen in person and following the telephone consultation I have always been asked to come in in person the same day.
Once seen in person I’ve always been treated with respect and taken seriously and a thorough history is taken along with blood work completed.
A successful diagnosis is always made in conclusion.
I’ve been with Bodnant Surgery for 32 years and never had a single issue.
Recently I saw Dr Asha who was excellent.
I’ve always found the receptionist to be polite and helpful.
GP surgeries often get bad reviews as people feel they should have different treatment to what the professionals know they need and this annoys them. It doesn’t reflect on the practice and seem to be a recurring theme these days.

I am the mum of a student who is in her 4th & final year at Bangor uni. As a mum I worry! Over those 4 years I have contacted the surgery several times, sometimes on behalf of my daughter and sometimes for my own peace of mind or information. I have always found the staff to be friendly, down to earth, flexible, understanding, knowledgeable and very helpful. Please, if like me, you have had a positive experience, please do say on here! It's a heck of a tough, emotionally taxing job hearing sick or anxious people asking for help. Thanks very much... a reassured & happy mum!

Very friendly and helpfull receptionist on duty this morning.
I am on holiday in the area and develpoed a health issue.
I was immediately registered as a Temporary patient.
Within 2 hours I had a telephone call from the GP and was prescribed antibiotics.

I have been with this medical center for 20 + years. I have always had positive experiences from the receptionists, sympathetic when I have felt very anxious, and always willing to help. All the GP's I have had dealings with, without exception, have been excellent. We forget how fortunate we are sometimes.

First time use of e-consult worked really well.Form guided appropriate questioning and requested detailed information which helped guide appropriate response from GP.
Offered choice of GP call back within 48h or wait for preferred GP (7days as they work part time and the issues were not urgent).
Preferred GP was very patient and sympathetic and not rushed. GP helped to give advice I was not previously aware of. Made me feel like my health was important. Offered choice and collaborated on a plan taking my preferences and knowledge (as a doctor myself) into account.Highly recommended.

Never had the negative experience that others report. Really helpful, professional, friendly experience from all involved at the surgery: receptionists, nurses and doctors. Recent experience of flu jab was outstanding in terms of organisation and efficiency. Would wholly recommend.

I've been with Bodnant for over 5 years now and they've been excellent so far. They're always quick to sort appointments, even during Covid-19, and I've received thorough and conscientious care from the medical team.

So far they have treat me really good and with respect . I don’t know why so many mean comments but from my experience I was treated nice in multiple occasions and different health problems

So friendly on reception and the doctors are so nice and easy to talk to.

Phone customer service has improved.

I've been with Bodnant Surgery for over 36 years. No problems! If I'm polite towards the staff, they are polite with me! Works both ways. If it is difficult to get an appointment it means that the Doctors are busy, which means that they must be doing their best with their many patients.
