We tried this when we were holidaying
nearby. We ate there one evening and ended up going back the next evening, having enjoyed it so much. Went mid week off season so wasn't especially busy. Food (and beer) was really good and priced fairly. The staff were concientious, polite and took time to talk to us when they weren't busy. Its a lovely building in a spectacular location. The landlord was kind enough to show me round and he clearly loves the place and intends to make it even better than it is now. I particularly love the way it has been lit and furnished. Thanks for your hospitality.

I had an unforgettable New Year's Eve at the Gazelle Hotel! The ambiance was perfect, the food was truly amazing, and the staff's hospitality made the celebration truly special. The attention to detail and the fantastic service created a memorable experience. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

Absolutely brilliant place, staff, food and location are 5 star, room lost a star for lack of wardrobe space (no wardrobe only coat hangers)
Bit harsh as the room has a freshly decorated bathroom which is very spacious with a powerful electric shower, excellent shower and comfy bed with TV and coffee/tea etc.

We visited for dinner, we were a party of 6 and we were so happy with the food, well presented and tasty that we returned for dinner the next day. We brought along another 4 , while the service was a little slower, everyone enjoyed the food. Sticky toffee pudding was the firm favourite, in the dessert choices. The staff were helpful and friendly, highly recommend visiting.

Called into day for lunch, never been there before and didn’t know what to expect, what a prime position!!! Fabulous views of the straits even on a misty day even from the car park !!! The staff were extremely friendly on arrival enquiring if we’d been there before and showed us to a table and clearly explained the menu. The piri piri prawns were to die for, pate really good but the best was the belly pork . Got to say overall fantastic views fab service wonderful food at a very reasonable prices. Can’t wait to go back!!!

OK. Full disclosure, I have not stayed here so cannot comment on the rooms, I left 5 stars for rooms because I don't want to mark them down for something I have no experience of....
However.....
I do drink here quite regularly, (once a week the Mrs and I have a date night, often it's here, but not always) It's one of my favourite pubs on Anglesey (I have 2 or 3 favourites and regularly visit lots more than that :-) ), the location is amazing, in summer It's the best place to sit and relax whilst having a pint and watching the world go by. The view over the straits is second to none. You can see everything from the Great Orm to Menai Bridge, There really is no way to put into words just how relaxing it is to sit here and chill. The quality of the drinks is excellent, well kept ale, and good quality wine (the Mrs is a bit of a wine snob and it gets her seal of approval) We have eaten here a few times over the last 6 months and its always been very good, Yesterday we came for a meal with a couple of friends (who have also eaten here before) It was outstanding........ The new menu is small, but that's a great sign because it means the chef can focus on getting it right instead of trying to produce a large number of different dishes (If you have ever watched Gordon Ramsey you will understand) We ended up having Starters, Mains and Desserts (that never happens, we are strictly starters or desserts people) we had Peri King Prawns and Scallops as starters (there were 4 of us but both couples ended up ordering the same meals) It's hard to describe how good the starters were, they were simply mind blowing. The prawns were a great size, perfectly cooked and a really good peri peri kick which didn't overpower the flavour of the prawns but did let me know I was eating Peri Peri.. The Mrs had the Scallops, She likes Scallops and knows the difference between a good one and a bad one, She cleaned her plate (as did our other Scallop eating companion) we managed to return 4 clean plates to the kitchen... even the salad and dressings were devoured, not a single leaf got away from us.....
The mains arrived (2 Steak and Ale Pies and 2 duck) and it was amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection, piping hot when it was served and so tasty. I have actually run out of words to describe how good the meal was. I didn't have a desert but the others did (apple/raspberry crumble I think) with custard, cream and ice cream. I was stuffed and wanted to save some room for another pint of the excellent Unicorn Ale but I was definitely very jealous of them as it looked fabulous. All in all this is probably the best place I have found on Anglesey either for a quite drink or a meal with friends, The staff are all friendly and very good at what they do, the drinks are great and very well kept (not a large selection of real ale, but what they do have is consistently very good quality) they have good wine that the Mrs likes (which is rare anywhere!!) and the food is such good quality it actually convinced me to write a review on google!! If you cross the bridge to Anglesey you won't have experienced the best there is until you have a drink or a meal at the Gazelle.......

We had a brilliant lunch here. 12 of us managed to book a table only 2 hours prior on a Sunday. We ended up with s private room with beautiful views even with a massive TV which they were happy for us to watch the F1 on. The service was brilliant and the food was very good. I had a roast dinner and it was very tasty. Thanks!

just got back from a lovely 2 night stay here - we were in an annexe room as had our dog with us. The room was very comfortable and clean with a fantastic view over the menai straits.
The bar and restaurant good also and had a very tasty dinner and breakfast (my husband says best pie he's ever tasted!)
The staff were lovely and helpful - would definitely recommend for a relaxing break.

Stayed here for the evening for my partners 50th…..the location was amazing! We are locals but we still felt like we were on holiday! The team provided amazing service during our family meal……nothing was too much trouble. They even went the extra mile whilst bringing out the birthday cake-they made the moment even more special. The food was presented beautifully and it tasted delicious. It was the best steak pie that I have eaten in a long time. The breakfast was yummy too……and we had tables by the windows so it was very pretty indeed. Our little sausage dog also had his own sausage brought out for him. Great stay-would definitely recommend! Well done guys 👍

Wonderful stay, ideally located for visiting nearby attractions or just generally exploring, in a very welcoming, friendly & relaxing environment, clean & comfortable room with sea view, food was exceptional in both content/ presentation & tasted as good as it looked. We really enjoyed our time here, couldn’t fault anything & highly recommend 😊

Lovely staff, attentive service.
Cracking bar, great food with a stunning view.
Rooms are comfy and clean with amazing view if you select the sea view rooms.
Our second visit to stay here and not our last.

Great pub with lovely decor and beautiful views. Food is top notch. Just be careful on the driveway down from the main road. You don't want to meet a car coming the opposite way.

First time visiting here and certainly won’t be the last . Fantastic location on the banks of the Menai Strait looking across towards Bangor Pier and the Snowden Mountain Range . Service was excellent and decent beer selection at reasonable prices especially considering the location. Sat outside and enjoyed the views over a delicious local cask ale .

Just returned from a two night stay. As a beachcomber and seaglass artist this hotel is perfect. The decor is maritime themed and it is located on a shingle beach full of little treasures, I was truly in my 'happy place'. I have shared my experience and some of my beach finds on a seaglass hunters site.

WOW what a great location overlooking the sea. I can imagine most people missing this place as its not visible from the main road.
Nice tables and chairs outside and plenty of them. We didn't est here but plenty where and the food looked good 😋 👍 x
