I was left speechless. What a fantastic monument. Will definitely visit in the summer. The path is a bit muddy at first, but do not get discouraged. A nice gravel path is laid for most of the way there. It's free to visit, no opening times as far as I gather. If you like neolithic monuments, this one is for you!

This ~2000BC Celtic site is one of the most incredible prehistoric locations that one can visit in the UK.
Tucked away on the side of a minor road, out in the sticks of Anglesey, the mound is accessible by use of a free parking area and a public footpath that leads the way.
Both the car park and the mound have many boards up, displaying various interesting tidbits about the people who built the burial mound and the construction of the mound itself.
It's always incredibly quiet so if you enjoy a peaceful trip through time, this is one the best choices around.

Great place to visit, with a small free car park and well signed 7 min walk to the mound. Good signage as well. Very atmospheric even on a wet February afternoon.

An amazing place to visit and it is free to visit there is also free parking around a 5 min walk from the tomb. The fact you can walk inside is a bonus I would recommend a visit to this place I have been a few times but this time I took my camera to film a longer video.

Small car park and a pull in available for parking. A nice walk to Chamber, approx 5 min. Enclosed by a fence in a field. Some info boards to read.

Amazing Ancient site. It's one of the best ancient sites I've seen in Britain so far. Stonehenge is more impressive but you have this whole site free to yourself explore. We were lucky to have the area all to ourselves and had a great time pondering the meaning of the site. It's incredibly fun to go inside the ancient passageway and see the mysterious stone in the small chamber. Would highly recommend.

As Bryn Celli Ddu comes into view I’m amazed at how prominent it stands on the landscape and how it commands a view from the top of the surrounding landscape

I had been working in Llandudno for a few days and just before I left I had time to visit this amazing burial chamber. If you get the chance, make sure you take it. Stone lovers will not be disappointed.

Bryn Celli Ddu Burial Chamber is situated just over the bridge into Anglesey. It’s about 30 min drive from Llandudno beachfront. The history can be found on the signs and the reconstruction after excavation was 1929 and it has been preserved ever since. Unlike west Kennet it has had a hole created for light (instead of that weird glass block @WK). It has had one of the stones removed and placed in a museum in Cardiff with a replacement made of concrete. The capstone is huge slab of stone and has three or four huge standing stones at the entrance and the opposite end of chamber.

The weather was moody but dry, the temperature was 12°C and it was 10am in the morning. There is a car park and a short walk to the signposted chamber. The approach was quiet even with the fairly substantial breeze as the pathway was between hedges. As you follow the river up to the site the mind fills with images and thoughts about our ancestors walking along the same river bank with their ritual and ceremony about to start. As Bryn Celli Ddu comes into view I’m amazed at how prominent it stands on the landscape and how it commands a view from the top of the surrounding landscape. There is a rocky crag in the adjacent field, and casts a presence all of its own.

Walk around the circle, breathe the air, take in the silence and the feel of the stones. Walk inside and crouch through the creep into the chamber.

Inside, solitary, senses, feeling and total silence, the tomb of our ancestors…

This little (Neolithic) passage tomb is a bit of a walk from the side of the road car park, but even that is a delight, picking blackberries along the route. It is an open-ended passage tomb, aligned with the summer solstice sun. The whole monument is open and one can sit in the main chamber with the great pillar stone and contemplate how, why etc it was built. I highly recommend visiting.

We were the only people there for the majority of our visit and the site is really peaceful as well as being evocative.

Great place to visit and experience while in the area. Interesting to read what it's all about and actually walk into the camber.

(opening hours are not correct, the place is open 24 hrs. I have suggested an edit to the hours to be changed to 24 hours)

Easy walk from the carpark, or a layby opposite the path enterance (if the car park is full).
Flew my drone around the fort for a while getting some nice footage from the sky, very photogenic place. Bushes were trimmed on the path making it an easy enough walk to the fort which is around a kilometre or less from the car park.

An enigmatic and unique round barrow that is fully accessible. Access to the site is via a delightful walkway adjacent to a brook which helps build up the experience of the site. Whilst there is signage on the site, it is well worth reading up on the history prior to your visit.
Despite our visit being undertaken during the winter, this did not take away from the atmosphere and sense of wonderment.
Car parking is available at a layby opposite the entrance to the walkway, or by a small free nearby car park. Within the free car park, is a monument which is well worth a look as it contains recommendations of other nearby sites of interest.
A must see visit.

It's about half a mile from the car park or the lay-by, through a narrow, shady path and you arrive at the mound, some good bits of info there and an added bonus you can go inside. We thought it was quite special. 🤗🤗

Hidden down a well maintained path. Bit of a walk. Not seating at site. Information boards. Access to burial chamber.

Historically significant, dating back 6000 years, it is a interesting place to go and see and reflect on how we once lived and died. The fact that on the summer solstice the sun rises directly through the burial chamber is a tribute to their knowledge and abilities and shows that you don’t have to go to Mexico to the Mayan temples to see an old civilisation that was capable of such feats

1000 step walk to the chamber but easy walk and well worth it. Ample parking its free and no ticket required. It is narrow and low inside the chamber

There is a car park for this place, once parked walk out of carpark turn right and immediately cross the road until you find a wooden walkway and then path, the path is very long and turns LEFT ! don't enter the field that is straight on.

Very interesting place to visit if you're in the area. Short and easy walk to get to it and there's parking in a layby opposite.

There is free parking across the road. Turn right out of the parking and you will find the path on your left. When I was there is was washed out due to flooding so I had to walk along the farmers road which is to the left when leaving the car park. It's a muddy walk and also had to jump a fence to get into the area. There are a couple signs posted with information, but it's best to look the site up beforehand to learn more.
