W. Uden & Sons Family Funeral Directors Petts Wood

The funeral for my Mum last week was the third W. Uden & Sons have carried out for members of my family - my Grandad in 1977 and my Grandmother in 2000 - so I had every confidence in the standard of service I would receive.
From the moment Mum passed away and I had my first conversation with Charlie Uden, I knew that she was very safe in the firm's hands.
From that first contact onwards the arrangements were carried out not only with compassion, dignity and efficiency but with friendliness. Everything I requested was provided, and the suggestions and recommendations made with regard to flowers and photographic services etc., proved perfect.
Andrew Uden, who looked after the proceedings on the day, was kind and courteous. He phoned me the previous day so that I was fully aware of the timings and procedures, which I appreciated very much.
The cars are magnificent and superbly driven, and I cannot speak highly enough of all the people from Udens with whom I had dealings. I thank them all very much for helping me through a difficult time.

We chose W. Uden & Sons for my father's funeral in 2012 as he was always a huge supporter of family businesses, coming from one himself. We had no hesitation in choosing them again for our mother's funeral recently. Our experience with Udens has been first class from start to finish. All the arrangements were dealt with so efficiently that we didn't have to worry about anything during such a stressful time. Mum's actual funeral was directed in in such a caring, respectful and dignified way, as if she was one of their own. As a family this gave us great comfort. Thank you all so much..

Thank you for looking after the funeral arrangements with regard to my Mother. We were recommended Uden & Sons by family members as they have a local reputation for being very good, calm and professional.

And they were right. Uden supported us in making all of the arangements for our late mother Margaret and took great care of her, and us. On the day of the funeral from when the attendant walked in front of the hearse to bring her to the house, to when they took us and lots of her flowers (!) to the wake venue, they were kind, courteous, professional and personable, and we couldn't have asked for anything more. From the beautiful flower filled Bentley hearse and funeral car, to guiding us through the service and after, and to Andrew for being kind enough to fill the boot with most of the flowers to decorate the wake venue, as well as finding lost sunglasses and ensuring they were returned to us, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

What was a hugely emotional and difficult day, became a wonderful memory and tribute to our wonderful mother and a truely lovely send off.

We will always be grateful to Uden, with special thanks to Andrew, Charlie and Jack as well as the other attendents on the day.

I cannot emphasise enough how professional the team at Udens are. We used their services for both my parents-in-law's funerals and more recently my Dad's funeral. From the initial meeting through to post-funeral contact they were exceptional and provide a level of service which gives peace of mind at what is a very difficult time. I went to Udens as our family had used them before, but I had never personally organised a funeral. I had to organise my mum's, which was incredibly hard.
Udens were amazing. From the first day I went into the office at Pettswood, they were so kind, helpful and understanding.

Every step of the way the family of Udens was perfect. Nick at Petts Wood handled everything beautifully. I was pleased to beable to chose a package that suited us, and their recommendations for celebrant, Kate, florist, Jo at Belles, and printer, Paul at Spectrum, we're spot on. They looked after my late husband with care and dignity, supporting myself, my two young sons and my sister in law.
Many of our mourners commented on how professional and well turned out the pallbarers were and Lee looked just perfect leading them, and us with his attention to detail and kindness.
I wouldn't wish anyone to need their services, but if and when you need to, you will be in the safest of hands with Uden Petts Wood.

We would thoroughly recommend as we felt supported all through the process. It is a very difficult time and the sensitive guidance we received throughout ensured that the day was the best that it could have been. Charlie helped us plan the day and Darrell was with us on the day, both were excellent.

This is, unfortunately, the fourth time we have asked Udens to take care of our loved ones. Unfortunately only because of losing our family members. I wouldn’t ask any other company to look after my family. Udens are caring, compassionate, professional and so helpful in any and every way they can be. I hopefully won’t need their services for a long time but when I do, I will definitely be contacting them.

Udens have recently dealt with my fathers funeral. We had to make a fairly quick choice on Directors but am so pleased with our choice. Udens are the most professional company with exceptional staff. This was my second time in 3 years using the services of W Uden and Sons Petts Wood, and I have nothing but praise for everyone I've dealt with on both occasions.
