Great Orme Summit Complex

What a lovely place , I have not been to the top of the great orme for many years . I had forgotten just how beautiful the views are up there . We also went around the visitors centre which was really Informative and interesting . We had a really lovely meal at very reasonable price from the cafe in the summit complex . The staff were lovely . There is so much to do on the orme such as the toboggan run the mine the cliff lifts but the scenery upstages everything .
If you go to Llandudno please visit the Great Orme it is amazing day out

You can get there via personal car or vehicle, else you can take cable car but we prefer to go in tram and will cost almost £26 for 2 adults and 2 children's after family discount. For cable 🚠 car you need to spend £14 per adult.

View from cable 🚠 car is also outstanding. Once you get there you will car parking, eating points, washrooms.

Move further down and you will find your space to relax on the top of the place.

You can go further down towards the sea shore it's safe.
Recommend for short trip with family and friends.

Absolutely beautiful views. Great café and facilities. Lovely gift shop. Highly recommend travelling up on the tram, but large car park available otherwise.

Very interesting place and spectacular views around the coastline. You could spend a full day here walking around the many trails, visiting the Church, the Copper Mine and the Visitor Centre at the summit. There are gift shops and a cafe plus ample spaces to eat a picnic. We drove up using a road from Marine Drive but there is a tram if you would prefer not to take your car. A really enjoyable day out, especially if the weather is clear. The views are breathtaking.

But closed for refurbishment. Edit 27.05.2024 - It's open again ! Well, the cafe is. Great stop for some fish and chips

The complex is at the summit of The Great Orme. Lovely marine drive to get there. There is a visitors centre nearby and a children's playground. The complex has a cafe, ice creams and a gift shop. Plenty of parking. Could do some good walks from there. Lots of scenery on a clear day...

Took our grandchildren up the Great Orme on the tram. A great experience. Then a great game of Crazy Golf . Super cafe for lunch. Wonderful views but very windy and cold. A memorable experience enjoyed by all.

Plenty to do here. Amazing location. Breath taking views. My only issue was the cable cars being cash only. You either need to provide contactless payments. Or let the shop or cafes provide cash back.
I know of four people who took the tramway up and didn't have cash for the cable cars.

Worth going up on the tram as it is very steep to walk. Good walks , good views, cafe not to expensive & never waited long to get served.
Got off halfway back to visit the mines , that also worth a visit.

I actually went to have a walk around the Orme, in directions that I hadn't seen. Take photos and enjoy the solitude. I did go for a coffee at the complex and it was getting very busy. The good and drinks there are excellent. Definitely a good place to stop for a brew .

One of the most beautiful place I visited this year. Awesome views, beach side, cool wind, cable car rides, tourist trams, beachside foods, nice people… wonderful day.
This place is famous for Bronze Age mines, great screenary, beach view, great Orme aerial cable car rides, Great Orme tramways. Visit here if coming to Llandudno or Conwy.

There is a sit & dine facility available on the top of this place along with few souvenir shops. You get amazing Welsh burger. I loved it and nice coffee in cold wind watching the ocean. It’s with place coming. Kids will enjoy the place, little play area and cable car rides. Good place for good family time.

I have never eaten such delicious coffee ice cream before and the sight... It speaks for itself. Beautiful place. Riding the tram was simply amazing🥰

Having just tended graves in St Tudno's, I nipped into the summit complex for a bite to eat, warm drink and browse round the well stocked shop. Good choice of food and drinks, all very fresh. Plenty of seating and 'happy' atmosphere. Highly recommended.

A shop and a restaurant are located in this complex. It used to be a light house many years ago. The restaurant is called the captain table. Summit Complex is located a few steps from summit station. This is a local landmark and can be seen from many miles away and definitely worthy of a visit. Just be aware not always open so check beforehand.

During the Summer, the summit of Great Orme can be reached by cable car, tram, or bus. There is also a road up, and parking at the top, for anyone with a vehicle. For those who are fit enough for a not too gentle stroll that is constantly up hill and takes about an hour, there are several well marked footpaths. The views as you walk up and down, and the views from the top, are spectacular. As well as the views, the summit also boasts a cafe, bar, gift shop, and toilets. We’ll worth a visit to the summit, however you choose to get there,

You cant buy tickets in advance. I reached at around 12:30 pm. Was not very busy. A good place to visit. Not ideal if raining as Trams are open aired. No windows. But ideally a good place to visit and a nice outing. Amazing views from Summit and also the halfway stage.
