Toby Carvery Rhoose

This is a new review as my last one, was 3 years old, still a great place to have a carvery, or any other meal,and yesterday while we there the staff, had a challenging time when a customer put them on the spot by asking if she could go ahead of the que,has she didn't want meat, they handled it very well as her attitude was a bit entitled, well done team.
I went there Xmas, with family from the Midlands again great service, brilliant atmosphere,

Lovely! Just visiting area for long w,e and had £5 vchr! Went at 7.30 everything was available and all fresh&hot! Warm welcome all staff very nice ,carvery delicious meats all tender ,roasties lush, yorkshires huge! Had nice quiet table by an open window so nice bit fresh air as no aircon! A gr8 evening

Excellent value for money. The staff are great. No matter how busy it is, they rally around making sure everything is freshly topped up and ensuring everyone is happy and served well.
Jake, the manager on tonight, was super helpful when one of our party arrived with a cut and he provided cleansing wipes and plasters.
Toby are very lucky to have such a hardworking and dedicated team.

Amazing food and all very fresh. Andrew serving the carvery was very chatty, friendly and went above and beyond!! (Gave me plenty of Yorkshire puddings!!)

Will definitely be returning if visiting Barry Island again

The whole experience was great.
My Grandson and I met for a Turkey and Tinsel lunch.
As we will not see each other on Xmas Day, we had our turkey dinner together at Toby Carvery Choose. A particular favourite of my Grandson.
We really enjoyed it. Especially the food. No complaints. This is the second year running that we have been to Toby Carvery Choose for our Xmas lunch. Very special time for us.
The staff were really attentive and polite.

Very good all round. The carvery was very busy, but the queue moved swiftly. The food was plentiful, piping hot and well prepared. I noted that food trays were continually being replaced to keep up with demand. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

Just enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the Toby Carvery Rhoose, what can I say? I’m no stranger when I comes to “Service Excellence”. However, it’s nice to experience it too. Great food and quality service. Well done TEAM Toby! Bravo 👏🏻

The family and I are frequent customers at our local Toby carvery. The all you can eat breakfast and Sunday roast are fantastic with the food being frequently freshly cooked. An alternative menu for dietary requirements is also an option. The establishment is also very child friendly providing child size portions, baby changing facilities. The staff are very warm, welcoming and attentive. They are always on hand to make the experience as good as it possibly could be.

To be fair on my most recent visit last week I had the most stunning carvery. It's always good here, and the best carvery around in my opinion, but this one was special! Service was a little slow we waited 15 minutes after plates were taken and didn't see anyone to ask for the bill so had to go up to the bar to pay

Food was v good. Had to wait for replacement vegetables .not long but with the 50% offer it was busy. Which caused the queues and the take away meals were prepared from the same counter. But not the staffs fault.
Waiter was very friendly and helpful.

Our waitress was a delight. Full of enthusiasm and just lovely. Sadly, I can’t recall her name! The food and ambience was excellent and we will of course be back.

Wonderful atmosphere with great service every time. Food and drinks are amazing and waiting staff are all smiley and brilliant 👍

Food was piping hot today and great for its price. I had a wonderful apple pie recommended by our waitress (I believe her name was Ella) very speedy I’m very pleased

First time at this Toby and had breakfast with my dad. I didn't know what to do but it was self service as you would do at a carvery. Appears you could have as much food as you wanted but I didn't take advantage as I dislike greed, gluttony and the wasting of food. The food was very nice to be fair and the breakfast was around £17 for the both of us.

Went in for drinks only but also ended up booking 1x pick up Christmas dinner for a family member and light bites to take away. Staff amazing I haven't seen this gentleman before tall light hair he was very helpful and was the main host and appeared to be management

The staff here go out of their way for their customers. Especially lovely to the elderly folk who need a little help fetching their meals. Lovely food too.

I havent been for a while because last time there wasn't much selection and the food was Rubery and cold.
It has improved quite a bit. The food was nice and piping hot. It was regularly topped up if running low.
Staff were friendly too

Excellent staff, especially the 2 chefs who were very knowledgeable on allergies and could advise on what to have for a gluten, wheat, dairy and egg free allergy. Food was great A++++

We sat in the bar area, comfy seats. Level ground floor and throughout. Toilets here. Food was beautiful and filling, staff were pleasant, free car park. Worth a visit.

My family are regular visitors to the carvery. And it is extremely popular locally.
There are ample parking spaces in and next to the Toby carvery. And it is free parking.
There are also a few disabled parking spaces.
It is a very pleasant atmosphere for a quiet drink or to enjoy a carvery.
They also provide a take away carvery service.
