Been here a few times and it’s always been very good. The staff are amazingly helpful and the food always excellent. Not a cheap restaurant but for the quality of food it’s worth every penny. Excellent atmosphere and family friendly. Highly recommend!

Just had a super overnight stay. After a long day/journey the staff were very welcoming & made sure there was a place for me to eat my evening meal in the restaurant. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, very quiet and warm. Comfortable bed & a hot shower. Excellent meal at a very reasonable price & the prosecco was cold, hurrah! Breakfast was included in the price of the room & was quite possibly one of the best breakfasts I've had in a hotel - eggs cooked to perfection, fresh fruit & proper bread. This will definitely be my choice next time I'm in the area. Just to say there is ample secure parking. A big thank you to the staff who were incredibly efficient & friendly.

A great dining experience. Staff friendly and welcoming. Large car park. Vegan food was excellent as was the non-vegan. Slightly quirky decoration. Atmosphere was good. No traditional bitters. Coffee could do with improving, otherwise a great experience and we would recommend.

Had a meal here on Bank Holiday Saturday where I booked online - it was so easy to book !
First time here and the place is amazing ! Stunning views, great decor and the staff are wonderful !
We had the steak burger with fries & peppercorn sauce & the chicken ballotine and they were both presented well and tasted amazing ! We will be back for sure as I highly recommend it !!

Had a great Sunday roast dinner here, followed by a few hours of drinking in the bar. Food was very good, staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Everything is presented lovely from the decor to table settings and food itself. We ate here a year ago and enjoyed it that much we came back again when we were in the area. Not seen or used the rooms, but if they are presented as well as the venue then I would stay here if I was looking for a room.

I stayed here over the festive period. The room was clean and quiet - with excellent facilities eg extensive telly options. I also ate 4 meals and each one was truly delicious. It’s clear the kitchen takes great pride in their work. I was really struck by how lovely the staff were; every person I encountered was smiley, helpful and genuinely seemed to care about my comfort. Thank you for a lovely Christmas stay! You guys rock.

Stayed here a few weeks ago, good location, friendly staff and breakfast was great. Rooms were very nice, we payed quite a low price for our room, some improvements to be made and could have been slightly cleaner. But for the price could not complain.

Absolutely amazing experience stopping here from the moment we checked in, the staff couldn't do enough for us our room was beautiful and so comfy and the whole place was so welcoming. The food was exceptional they even prepared alcohol free batter which is something nobody has ever done before. Breakfast was very tasty with so much choice, and a fabulous playlist while eating
We would definitely recommend a stay here, we will be returning

I was here for work so the location was a bit remote for the one night , the room was lovely and the bed so comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful, only had breakfast but the poached eggs were spot on. My travel companions had a full breakfast and it looked 👌. Thank you too the staff

What a lovely restaurant.
Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. So glad we visited this lovely restaurant, the food was delicious, we would definitely recommend. After trying to get a taxi back to The Carden Park hotel and told we would have to wait over 1.5 hours the very kind manager Jane offered to take us home, this was very much appreciated. We would love to visit again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Every time I've visited the food and service has been spot on! I visited just before Christmas and was unfortunately very late for my table reservation due to tradesmen at my home, I rang the restaurant and they still held another table for us in the bar area which we really appreciated. Great atmosphere, staff very helpful! It's my preferred dining pub in the area!

Booked this purely for location as it was close to a friend's house. I didn't have much expectation having done no research, and so I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We had a lovely room. Not massive but really cosy and well finished. The bathroom was great (jacuzzi bath!) And we had a lovely view of the countryside.
The highlight though was the staff - they were so attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. They've obviously just made an effort to hire and keep good people.
Breakfast was spot on. Table service and super quick as well as being delicious 😋.
We stayed here out of necessity, but I'd be more than glad to return here in the future. Would genuinely recommend and re-emphasise the massive value for money here. Thanks for a lovely night's stay.

Excellent experience. Loved the food, the ambiance and the service. Katie was super diligent and seemed to glide around staying on top of the whole busy restaurant.

Customer service was outstanding, we were attended to by Louis and he made us feel welcome and comfortable. Food and drinks were great. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend!

Excellent restaurant. Food is great with an extensive menu and good specials, nice atmosphere and decor and very good and attentive service. Have been a couple of times now and rate it highly.

Just a really nice evening overall atmosphere was great in there, made to feel very welcome as soon as we walked in service was quality from start to finish and the food was absolutely delicious best I've had in ages

A group of 9 had dinner here last night. From the moment I turned up early for drinks, till when we left, the service was absolutely outstanding, I can't praise it highly enough. I wish I had got a few names so I could mention people but I didn't so all I can say is thank you to all of you.
Attentive service, fantastic food (with extensive gluten-free and vegan menus) and no request was too much trouble. As someone with recently diagnosed food intolerances I cringe internally because virtually every order from myself requires some sort of request but nothing was too much trouble. Everyone agreed the food was great and it was a thoroughly enjoyable night. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and I will be back.

Nice modern style pub with a traditional twist. Open plan bar for drinks and also seperate rooms to dine.

Visiting friend for a bit of pre Xmas fun and so glad we decided to stay over, the room was so lovely and clean , the shower I wanted to take home , the pressure was the best iv ever experienced before at a hotel.

Bed was exactly how I like it nice and firm.

Nice little touches like little cookies to enjoy with our late night cup of tea.

Breakfast in the morning was spot on with so much to choose from was tempted by the eggs benedict Royal but opted for the full English and wow ...... now that's a breakfast.

All in all we had an amazing night with our friends Tim and Jane snd her lovely Mam Anne.

The Band was Amazing definitely best I have seen, The Bright Lights.

Everything was spot on and everyone in the team went above and beyond from the time of checking in until we sadly had to leave.
