Telegraph Woods

This beautiful woodland is also a SINC (Site of Importance for Nature Conservation) and must be protected at all costs! It provides a peaceful escape from urban life and includes a broad range of wildlife species. Please pick up dog poo and do not litter! It's one of very few such green spaces we have left.

It's a very claiming and relaxing place to walk in, my grandson loves go there on his little bike and meeting all the friendly dogs and their owners. Sometimes people leave the gates open which is not a good idea.

Very nice wooded area , there are many paths you can take from the main path. Although numbers are falling I have seen deer in the small encloser, but many have been driven away as it's become a dog walkers haven.

Fantastic in Sumner as cool for the dogs . Takes about 40 mins but can make it longer if wish .

The best little escape for miles around. I don't know how they do it but the people tending this relatively small patch of woodland keep it interesting and beautiful all year round. There is so much to explore and admire here that it is a firm favourite of this boy who grew up in the New Forest and doesn't always have time to drive the 25 minutes to reconnect with his spiritual home. Telegraph woods is great for walking, bike rides and just getting away from it all for a bit. It feels like a welcome respite from the city and it is easy to forget where you are because you feel quite enclosed by the woods. Also quite atmospheric as sunset happens...

Most dog owners respectable and take their pets presents home! Only wish there were 1 or 2 more bins around.

Parking ok, bit of a fast road so have to be careful pulling out.

Popular place for dog walkers in West End, situated above the Rose Bowl golf course.
Parking is on Telegraph Rd which sometimes can be limited.
Lots of paths to follow through a wooded area.

Small forest but it's peaceful and the dog enjoys it. People are generally nice that you meet on the way round too.
