Abergele Hospital

Went in on the 6/12/23 for a hip replacement, was a bit worried about having the epidural but after talking to the anesthetist he put my mind at ease. My surgeon Mr Kanpur was so good. As for the after care from the nurses and ward staff it was excellent. They went above and beyond the daily duties. Thank you so much.

If you have urgent need of eye surgery, as I did, they fit you in as a priority. They are relaxed and kind to reassure people who may be a bit squeamish about eyes. I had a vitrectomy to fix a detached retina and will have a follow up cataract op soon. I am very grateful to these people for their work which enables me to still see in that eye, which if left would have gone blind

I had a hip replacment at Abergele hospital on the 6th February this year the staff were impeccable in there care and attention that I and the other ladies in the ward received.Nothing was to much trouble I returned today for a check up and was greater by the same staff with the same care and attention in these days of our poor NHS getting so much criticism I felt I had to write this review to say thankyou to all the people who looked after me

I received first class treatment from all staff but in particular Mr Mathews in curing fluid on the macula.
You restored my vision which allowed me to return to driving and independence

I had a cataract operation yesterday at Abergele Hospital's Stanley Eye Unit - the other eye was done here in 2015. The skill and care of the surgeons, nurses and other staff are exemplary. Efficient, friendly and totally professional. We are SO fortunate to have these people and this unit in our community. Top class NHS service! PS I can now see the screen to write this with both eyes - just 24 hours after the op. Wow!

The doctor's and nurse's took great care of my mom for both of her eye operation's she's like a brand new woman thank you to the NHS without them my mom would have eventually have gone fully blind with no chance of regaining her sight through surgery so proud of our NHS Frontline worker's

The care my daughter received while she was in for day surgery on her eye was brillant.lovely kind professional nurses, caring theatre team and freindly consultant.

I had surgery on my hand on the 10/2/2020,and i would like to thank all the staff at the hospital, from the time I walked through the door until I left as a day patient the care I received was incredible special thanks to Mr Taylor athopedic surgeon, for all he has done for me. Abergele Hospital in North Wales was originally built in 1910 by the people of Manchester for children from the city who suffered from TB. In 2006, after an extensive site search, Abergele Hospital became the preferred option for the new Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit. Laing O’Rourke was brought in as the supply chain partner on the project using the architectural practice Design Buro to design the new development and put forward materials which would be used.
