Best meat (steak or steak haché) of all restaurants I’ve found in Charante (and even further!). Very nice atmosphere after visiting the local market on Sundays!!

Superb bar restaurant. Everything you could want in the beautiful square at Aubeterre. Good food, selection of beers and friendly efficient staff. Sunday afternoons excellent live music offering great entertainment.

Live music Sundays from 3, a cold drink and lots of people watching. The menu looked good too so will be back to try the food.

We have just had the best weekend in Aubeterre and we ate and drank at bar bacane every day, the team are amazing and they really looked after us. The food was delicious and tasty.we are sad to be leaving but recommend the bar to any travelers.

Had an amazing evening at this local bar! The bartender makes a great aperol spritz and they have board games, which we loved. A cozy vibe - exactly what we were looking for.

Great place! Great music playlist (jazz/swing) and vibe and very friendly owner & staff in the town square in Aubeterre. Goose Island on tap is a bonus too!

This place is probably one of the best places I’ve eaten in a longtime. Lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff, and some of the best steak I’ve ever had.
