I saw the Mark Rothko retrospective and was amazed. I’m glad the Building dedicated 10+(?) galleries to the work. We went on a Friday morning and it seemed to get busier as we left.
Truly a once in a lifetime experience to see this physically, historically, and enigmatically massive collection of pieces. Certain paintings were grouped as they were shown elsewhere, for example, the set from the Tate in London, but the rooms lined with work from all over the globe was very nice.
Rothko himself never saw his work celebrated to this extent, he might have enjoyed it.
I’m sure I won’t be able to see his work gathered and shown like this again in my lifetime. The Foundation did a great job of giving the work the space it needed. Rooms varied in size and illumination, I enjoyed the contrast.
The show had more paintings than I expected and I was truly impressed with the presentation.

The building was perfect, allowing for gigantic and intimate spaces. I was surprised the price of admission was cheaper than I expected, worth the money, I have paid more for less impressive shows.

I wish I could see the show a second time. Highly recommend seeing this show.

Had an amazing time at the Fondation Louis Vuitton checking out the Mark Rothko exhibit. It was incredible! The way Rothko's colors played off the museum's cool architecture totally blew me away. If you're into art at all, this is a must-see. Solid 5 out of 5 for me!

Got see art and see the building, 2 great things for the price of 1. The rothko exhibition was amazing. Allowing you a chronological view of an artists progression. Brilliant. Busy, very busy, but brilliant 👏

So delighted to have my first visit for an incredible exhibition. What a building, so iconic and beautiful. I would return just to look at it in more detail inside and out. Great opportunity for refreshments inside. We saw the Rothko exhibition and it was worth the trip to Paris. Book a ticket and get yourself there.

This is such a great space to view art. Just saw the Rothko exhibit here. It was fantastic. I wish I could have been there with fewer people, but it was still amazing. The time-slot program works well. Get your tickets ahead of time on-line, to streamline the entry. Plan to spend the day with the artists you love!

Really enjoyed the Rothko exhibition. The experience was rich and engaging. I really enjoyed the detailed description of his life and the phases of his work. (Also had fun spotting the piece on loan from home - very nice, Art Gallery of Ontario!) I would love to return to this remarkable building, which is worth a visit just for the stunning architecture.

Nice place for art. I enjoyed how all the halls are well arranged for exhibitions. The cafe was overpriced and service was mid. The lines pas rather quickly.

Exceptional art museum. Truly an architectural wonder that’s worth the visit in itself. Appreciate the fact that the (in)famous LV logo is no where to be sign in the building. The Mark Rothko exhibit was sensational. make sure you head up to the terrace upstairs to sneak a peak of tour eiffel too

We went on a whim, it was a bit of a walk from the metro, and a huge lineup. But the online tickets were all sold out, so we decided to wait. Eventually we allowed in, and they got something like airport security there and you need to have your bags x-rayed. The building was impressive looking; other than the exterior shape, the vertical yellow lighted feature beside the water was also stunning on its own. Wish I had more time to check it out, but I spent my time checking out the Rothko exhibition. Alas, my ability to appreciate his artwork is on par with my skill at discerning top wine vintages.

Great place to spend a few hours in the company of great art. I visited for the Basquiat x Warhol exhibition and had a blast. The building is an example of monumental modern architecture. Not my taste but impressive nevertheless. The rainbow clad hall was an oasis of calmness and a perfect place to relax, while the various open air terraces have some nice views over Paris. Gets very crowded, so book your tickets wisely.

Driven by its mission to serve the public, the Fondation is committed to making art and culture accessible to all.
We saw the very impressive Mark Rothko retrospective. A beautiful representation of his work, spanning the early 1930’s until his passing in 1969.

Went to the Rothko exhibition there and what an amazing experience! The building is an architectural tour de force with good lighting, beautiful exhibition spaces and some nice terraces. Outside is a mesmerizing cascade which visitors will appreciate best when looking at it from the inside. There's a kid room where you can also relax on some bean bags. In that same room they were showing a very informative documentary about Rothko, which we saw after our tour from a balcony.

Stunning Frank Gehry building build in the beautiful neighbourhood park. The view from the top is stunning and so from outside. With their great art curator, the exhibitions are always stunning. Must visit place if you ever stay in Paris.

Gorgeous space for the Rothko exhibit. Each gallery featured a different phase of his life. Care was taken to explain Rothko’s vision, technique and motivation. Audio guide is available for your phone. Ticket price was reasonable and we bought a week in advance, online. The lines to enter, to check and pickup rain gear and use washroom were long. Once you enter, there is no rush to leave at a specific time.

Incredible building and exhibit! Nice to be able to enjoy the story of the building itself in its own Gehry section of the building. Rothko exhibition excellent to see too!

Saw the Mark Rothko exhibition here. An absolutely fabulous gallery space and the exhibition was very well laid out. Fascinating building and opted for a walk through the Bois de Bologne to get there rather than the shuttle bus.

Ascending to the rooftop allow us to overlook the entire Paris cityscape, and glimpses of the Eiffel Tower can be seen between the architectural crevices.
With a predominant glass design complemented by an irregular architectural style, the building features a glass roof structure for reuse of rainwater.
Moreover, the northern side - Jardin d’Acclimatation provides a serene ambiance and peaceful atmosphere.

Well worth booking in advance to avoid queueing for 1 to 2 hours in the wintry weather. Entry also more expensive than any other patisian museum (permanent ir temporary exhibitions). Nevertheless, Rothko's exhibition was stunning and worth every minute waited and penny spent
