Rompan polku

Easy cca. 5km circuit walk with a BBQ place in the middle. The trail goes by wooden planks over the march and through the forest with couple nice views.

Circuit magique de 4,5 km en boucle effectué entre 13 et 15h début janvier avec un superbe soleil couchant. Camp de bivouac très bien placé et équipé. Parcours entre forêt et clairière laissant place à la tranquillité de la nature.

A real nice and easy, mostly flat, hiking trail through marshes and old forest, nice open views at some points. All duckboards have been renewed this year (2022)!😁👍 There are two short stairs (elevation/descent about 10 mtrs). Distance from the parking lot to Sortovaara koti is 2 km. Trail is accessible all year. No winter maintenance. Few things to consider during the seasons. In spring the trail is most likely flooded in the marshland sections and you will need rubber boots. In summer you will need a strong mosquito repellent. I think the best time for this hike is autumn / winter. As long as there is not too much snow on the ground, you're fine with regular winter boots. Further along the winter months it makes a real nice snow shoe trail! The trail is marked with brown / orange poles and orange dots on trees. At the Sortovaara koti there's a grill koti, fire pit, new toilets and a water well.
