Raitola Reindeer and Husky Farm

Can highly recommend Raitola Husky and Reindeer farm. We did the family day which seemed more expensive (€420) Although if you break it down I think cheaper overall than other places are charging for individual bits. You got a lot included and we absolutely loved it. My son got a reindeer driving licence and a reindeer toy as part of the day and he was so chuffed. You get the husky and reindeer ride (we found the short husky ride perfect as absolutely freezing on your face!), delicious salmon soup, bread and cinnamon rolls for lunch, hot glog and cookies throughout, feeding reindeer, petting the dogs, sledging and snow fun time plus two really good talks on the animals. All the snow gear was also included and we booked transfers from the city. They also took loads of pictures for us which we were very grateful for with freezing hands!! Would highly recommend! Lovely bunch of people and animals seem well looked after whilst also allowing the reindeer to roam free (didn't get this feeling in SCV)

We tried reindeer and husky combo in this farm. The guides were very friendly and professional, we had a short ride on the reindeer pulled sled, then some break, and then approx. 10 km husky safari. We had lunch between reindeer and husky activities, where we tried traditional salmon soup, which was absolutely fantastic. It was the only about -6 degrees outside, but warm clothing provided by the farm was very helpful. The husky ride itself was fantastic, it was probably the best experience from all that we had around Rovaniemi. The dogs are very smart and fast, and also very nice and friendly, kids were just hugging with them after the ride.

Dogs aren't hidden away. They are caged but half seperate when needed and not always bothered by guests.
Dogs seem healthy and excited to pull and got fed during the run. Doubles layer your gloves and socks if going for a 5/10km sled.

Everything was good. I liked the launch a lot. The soup was great. Great quantity and quality! Reindeer ride was very good. Huskies too. Very cold but they gave us everything we needed to stay warm.

Fantastic day with the Huskys. Our youngest (3yr) struggled with the snow and staying still (sitting on the sleigh) and our eldest (4yr) was much more content. The dogs were beautiful and the team coordinating were great. Incredible scenery and at times could hear a pin drop (between our 3yr old crying of course) overall an incredible experience 👏

We booked a reindeer sled trip here and had a great time here. Our reindeer was a very careful driver, we learned lots about reindeer from the staff who were all friendly and knew lots about the reindeer. There were plenty of reindeer to see and feed on the property, we even wend sledging. Our son loved feeding the reindeer leaves from the branches provided and riding on the sled.

Amazing adventure with very friendly husky dogs, a 10km self-driven sledge ride and complimentary dog cuddling. The Farm itself is clearly a place where the dogs are well taken care of and treated like friends and family. The dog caretakers answered all of our questions. All in all a place and an experience definitely worthy of recommendation!

Arrive early ⏰ before it gets crowded. 👥 After the ride, you are treated to an reindeer expert talk 🗣, tea ☕, and cinnamon rolls! 🧁 The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and the animals seem well trained, fed 🌿, healthy 🩺, and attended to. I wish I came here more often!

Incredible experience! I would recommend to come end of march/ beginning of April so the season is almost over and the groups are way smaller.

Very nice experience on a reindeer train of sleighs. Friendly staff. I even could walk a reindeer.

We made both the reindeer and the husky sledge tour and we really enjoyed both of them. The reindeer tour took about 5-10 minutes and the husky tour about 10-15 minutes. The guides were really nice and they gave us understandable instructions bevor every tour. After the reindeer tour we had some warm beverages and cookies and got the oppurtunity to ask questions about the farm and the animals. Later on we also had a fantastic lunch. There also was a very tasty vegetarian option.
I can really recommend it.

Superb experience, the landscapes are magnificent and the dogs are so friendly.

Although the price is high, it was such a unique experience for both me&my bestie. Landscape was just PERFECT.

Very fun, but very cold today. My hat flew off, but the lead dog in the team behind us picked it up and carried it to the next stop and dropped it undamaged. Very good experience.

Superb Husky- and Reindeer experience! And…… best salmon soup in Rovaniemi 😋

We did a Reindeer-Husky combo day, which ended up being the best experience we had in Rovaniemi. We learned a lot about the reindeer and huskies. Between the rides, we were served the traditional Lappish salmon soup and berry cake which were very tasty. Good experience for the whole family. They also provide warm clothing in case it’s needed.

We absolutely loved this!!! All the family had a fantastic time. We spent about an hour on the reindeer sleigh and then did 1km on the husky ride. The husky’s got so fast that it’s over in minutes but the smiles last hours! The lunch wasn’t too bad. Only thing is they need more facilities - with the amount of people that go there everyday, the lines can be long

Loved the experience here. They did a great job of explaining how they raise and treat the huskies and reindeers which I found interesting. The reindeer ride was slow but fun and the husky sledding was out of this world! Duration of both felt perfect.

We did the family day as adults and we had so much fun! The lengths of the rides were perfect as I think we would have gotten too cold if they were much longer. The whole day was planned beautifully and the reindeer and husky’s were so lovely. We couldn’t have wished for a better day here!
