Lapland Restaurant Kotahovi

The staff was very friendly. We asked them if it would be possible to get the dishes very fast and they were very flexible.
We had salmon and reindeer which were the best so far.
The location is very cozy. So service, food and atmosphere couldn’t be better.

I don't know what they do with the salmon in Finland but they taste really good while I was visiting Finland and this place makes the best of them all! The salmon meat is so juicy and sweet, and you can taste the freshness without the fishy taste at all. Just make sure you order more of you are not sure because it takes a bit of time to get your salmon.

This restaurant is really a paradise, in this village where food is awfully bad and pricey! The salmon and salmon soupe were excellent and totally worthy. The blueberry pie at the end was delicious. We had a lovely time, close the fireplace. Highly recommended. But find the right time, you can not book, it's small and closes at 4pm.

Wonderful restaurant with great atmosphere, food and services! The overcooked pork is super delicious and the blueberry pie too. It’s so good that my girls requested to return again on the 3rd day of our trip!

I can see why this is one of the best rated restaurants in Lapland. The staff are excellent. I love the rustic design of the interior with antler decorations and a crackling fire in the centre and let us not forget the food! The mushroom soup is delicious as is the salmon.

Cozy place and lovely with the live fire at the centre. Great food quality. I loved the traditional sauteed reinder dish and the blueberry pie! Highly recommended.

I tried the reindeer meat! Not my thing. But the restaurant ambience was giving! We were lucky to get a table as soon as we arrived.

Make sure to book a table in advance or to go within their opening hours with spare time, as the place can be crowded.

Totally recommend a visit here. We tried the salmon soup, the overcooked pork and the blueberry pie along side some delicious glöggi (spiced hot berry drink).
The salmon was good but not outstanding (4/5). I recommend the overcooked pork, which is cooked overnight (5/5). The hot blue berry pie is a must (5/5) and wash it all down with some warming and wholesome glöggi, which was better than we drank at some adventure safaris (5/5). You won’t regret your visit!

Small restaurant but exceptional in all regards. Smoked pork was a dish I wish I had their recipe for - maybe best dish I've ever had, for sure top 5. Dessert cake was nothing short of perfection. 10/10 from a real customer that was truly blown away.

Lovely ambience and excellent food. Only issue is that they have limited seating and long waiting.
Cloudberry jam dessert was interesting. Mushroom soup was good.

Food is superb. We ordered a salmon soup, overcooked pork, salmon and blueberries pie. Everything taste great. The ambience was very good and we were sitting beside the fireplace. Staff were all very friendly.

Kotahovi is a very pretty cozy little restaurant in Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi. Must try coz their food is really good! Outstanding service too..😍

Be in Rovaniemi since two years, we enjoyed this special place with typical lapish food for the first time.
The Restaurant is so cozy and also stylish. The service is so friendly. Our lunch was a highlight!

Ingo has traditional sauteed reindeer, mashed potatos, lingonberry and pickled cucumber.
I enjoed flamed salmon, roasted spring cabbage, brokkolini, onion buttersauce, caviar and buttered spring potatos.

DELICIOUS!
