We stayed in this hotel during beginning of April, 2022. It was the only hotel who responded our call inquiring about availability of rooms. Me and my colleague had great time staying in this hotel and we were the only guests staying at that time. It is located in such a perfect place that you can see the whole Lalibela and far to the skyline from the room. At night, you can graze the sky from your room and enjoy the beauty of our universe. The room was so neat and clean.

The owner of the hotel came every morning and evening to see if we are doing OK. Since the whole area is severely affected (economically) due COVID-19 and then the conflict but this hotel is trying to stand still and serve the guests whoever come. There is no electricity and tap water in the area from last 8 months. They run the generator for 2 hours in the evening from the fuel transported personally from 30 KM far. There are serving with the water brought in a tanker from 25 KM far. But still they are doing everything possible to make their guests happy. You can see almost all the hotels, either small or big, are closed. We felt so grateful that this hotel is still trying to serve and survive.

Since the hotel is not continuously running but they try to make you requirements are met. They try to prepare foods of your choice and you feel like you are staying at home. There are few staff at hotel and they are really so kind. Owner of the hotel is also very kind and always there to support you. Honey Land hotel is a great place to stay in Lalibela! We loved everything about it. Extremely clean! great view, great location. The manager Besfat treated my son and I as his own family. The food at the restaurant was great. It is one of the best meals I've had while I was on vacation in Ethiopia.

Very friendly host, clean room with traditional furniture. Warm water in the bathroom. Nice souvenir shop. Walking distance from city center. I would definitely come again.

One of the newest hotel in Lalibela, only 1.5 years old. Very nice staff, both at front desk and restaurant. Was worried about bed bugs as Lalibela is the African capital of bed bugs but after a thorough inspection we didn't find any! Relatively new foam mattress probably helped. Expect sewage smell in the bathroom but that's common in this part of the world.

great rooms, nice working shower with hot water. The WIFI is both slow and tend to disconnect.

空港からの送迎は200ブル、貸切なら1300ブル。空港から30分から1時間かかります。他に公共交通機関がないので宿泊時に事前に送迎を予約することをお勧めします。
立地は良く、ラリベラの中心の広場から10分程度の徒歩圏内。教会群からも徒歩で10分程度です。丘の上に立っており、客室からの景色もいいです。
客室は清潔です。ややトイレとシャワーに汚れがあります。雨季のため蚊が多かったですが、次の日の清掃から室内にスプレーをして対応してくれました。
アムハラ州内の内戦中のため、州内全域でWiFi使用できず。
地下にレストランが併設されており、エチオピア料理、スパゲッティなどがあります。
オーナーとスタッフはとても親切で、要望にも応えてくれます。

I stayed at this hotel in Sep 2023.
It takes 30-60 mins from the airport of Lalibela. Since there is no public transport from the airport, you need to book a lift beforehand. It costs 200 ETB for a shiring, 1300 ETB for a private.
Location of the hotel is great, you can walk to central plaza of Lalibela and the rock-hewn churches within 10 mins.
Rooms are clean and cozy. Toilet and shower were a bit dirty.
There is a restaurant at the basement which serves spaghetties, pennes and Ethiopian dishes.
Wi-Fi was not available due to the declaration of Emergency on Amhara region.
The owner and the staffs were all kind and helpful. They invited me to their house for branch to celebrate the New years Day together.

This is a clean, comfortable hotel near the churches and center of Lalibela. The friendly, helpful staff made the stay extra special.

Guest rooms have private, modern bathrooms. The hotel has hot water and electricity 24/7, despite a few short electric outages. Internet was just ok, but that is as good as can be expected in this area. Each room also has a TV but most channels are Arabic.

The restaurant has tasty food at reasonable prices. Food was available whenever we asked, and room service is available as well. There is a small shop at the hotel selling snacks, cold drinks, and souvenirs at the same price as we found outside.

The hotel can arrange transportation to and from the airport.

A backpacker's dream.. simple, functional and great location.
Customer service is simply awesome.. family run business.
Great tour guides on their team as well.

This is one of the better hotels I have been in Ethiopia. Clean, good service and nice management.
