Top Twelve Hotel - Lalibela

Fantastic stay at very clean, comfy family run hotel. David and his Father Ishta could not have been more accommodating and focused on making our stay memorable. We were going to switch hotels as we stayed there 8 nights but why move. We had a beautiful room with full glass back wall and patio overlooking the valley. At night the sky was filled with stars which we could gaze at from our bed. Breakfasts were outstanding and we had one dinner which was excellent as well.. David also organized a wonderful guide for visiting the local sites.Highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful little hotel with clean rooms, breathtaking views of the sunset from the room balcony and a lovely garden. It’s beautiful decorated and the breakfast and dinner on the open terrace were really good.
Definitely recommend as the place to stay in Lalibela.

I did Not sleep at the Hotel, because i have a friend there. But i visited the rooms, the bathrooms and we enjoyed Sunset at the terrace there! The rooms were huge, Clean and they have a perfect View in the Valley and Mountains! It is Kind of a Boutique Hotel with only 12 lovely rooms. They all have a sunsetview on the Valley and Mountains which is amazing! The terrace is also very comfortable! The owner was more thand friendly, well educated and Just amazing, so me and a friend stayed there chilling the whole afternoon and evening, because IT was so familiar and Nice! The Drinks you can geht for a good price and the View is even better than the overrated Ben Abeba.

Amazing view from the room and garden (which serves as a place for breakfast as well). Very clean. Great value for money. Kind and helpful staff and the owner. Possible payment with card but the owner will surly appreciate cash payments in $. My best recommendation!

The views of the valley from my room balcony were breathtaking. One feels transported to a different dimension in this city. People are friendly and taking an auto rickshaw (tuk tuk) to arrive somewhere is a must.

Stunning view over the valley. Rooms and bathrooms clean, comfortable beds, each room has a view with a balcony. Food at cafe is ok, best to take local food rather than western food. Affordable beers. Lots of hawks play in the wind in front of hotel. A 5-10 min drive to the churches, best to have some sort of vehicle to get around.

Staying here was incredible! The view is stunning and the hospitality is outstanding!! From being greeted by David at the airport, to the owner chatting with every guest every day it was an unforgettable experience and I hope to welcome the owner in my country once! Everything is very clean and the furniture and interior design of the rooms and hotel is very exciting, all in traditional Ethiopian fashion. The breakfast is more like a brunch; excellent vegetable Omelettes, porridge, banana and guave juice etc. Any help you need will be provided at any day and night time; from the best advice on restaurants, help with getting data on your phone and lending you flip flops. The Terrasse is also fantastic and so is the WiFi most of the time. I will definitely come back and am sure this is the best option in Lalibela, because of the 10/10 view and management! Top1

Spectacular view from the room, comfy beds, cute bed linen and good service. Convenient shuttle service to and from the airport. From here you can get in touch with Melas - a knowledgable English speaking tour guide for the Beta stone churches

The view is breathtaking. The staffs are nice and offered me a cup of coffee. The lodge is also within walking distance to the ben Abeba restaurant. The room is clean and with hot shower.

Very nice hotel. Spacious rooms with amazing view. Good food. Manager is very helpful to organize tours, but at high price. 30 minutes walk from City center.
