Hara Langano Lodge

Amazing lodge in the midst of acacia and giant fig trees. Wildlife plentiful including hippos, parrots, bushshrikes, monkeys, kingfishers. Room large and clean. Food was an international twist on the traditional dishes and quite good, but expensive. Power very limited - buy a Li Ion battery pack to keep your phones and camera batteries charged while staying here. Rooms very far apart, they give you 2 torches to find your way around at night and to light the room when the power is off. Not for everyone's tastes I suppose, but for us, great!

What a fantastic place! Amazing location. No bugs when I was there in October. Good wildlife. Spectacular birding, with the yellow-billed malkoha being a major specialty, the best and almost only place to see this bird in Ethiopia. Great local birding guide Hakim is very good. Make sure to get him. I wish I had time for canoing too. Very friendly staff and good food. Peaceful get away. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Wonderful place. Quiet (apart from the warthog at night), many hippos, nice beach to swim and looooots of birds. Food was ok, hot shower worked fine.

Nice please for your vacation

We went with a tour group. Rooms were ready when we arrived. Food and service was very good and the beer ice cold. The lake is very peaceful and under new ownership. The owner is upgrading some of the accommodation. Showers were not cold but we noted a thermostat under the heater which we could have turned up...after of course. Great walks thru the forest and the people from the village were very friendly.

Literal example of hidden gem. We were a little disoriented by how far and rough is the way form the main road but we quickly forgot about that after a night.
The place is probably the most well equipped among the numerous resorts around Langanoo. They have hot water and clear water come out of the tap unlike most other places in Langanoo where you get brownish water.
The resort is Ecology themed as the staff like to point out repeatedly, so no paved walk ways, rooms placed far apart among the trees, and a lot of birds.
The most important aspect of your experience is the staff that knows their job and know how to take care of you.
We had a great time as large family group.
Just prepare yourself for the somehow rough road trip from from the main road to the resort then you will have great time.
I recommend it for larger groups.

This eco lodge was previously known as Wenny's, it was always one of my favourite stops on the way south. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the camp from the main road. It is situated on one of the great lakes of the rift valley. An Ideal place to get away from it all for a while. Remember to arrange your meal favourites before arrival. An excellent location for photographers, twitters, walkers joggers, bickers, horse riders,

The facility is rustic; open aired and typically African.

Nice place, we did a good birding here. Unfortunately I brought a malary (Plasmodium vivax) from this place in November 2022 and I have problems until this time. Be careful, use Malaron!

Rocky start but replacement room was great

Leuke ervaring, breng zeker oordoppen mee want je hoort heel wat geluid ‘s nachts van de dieren. Probeer zeker eens hun wijn en wandel rond in het gebied want er zitten grote apen.

super mooie plak om in alle rust van de natuur ( vooral vogels ) te genieten. prijzen van het eten zijn heel duur ( vergeleken met alle andere plaatsen ). vergeleken met onze prijzen nog altijd goedkoop.

Remote and peaceful, though a bit expensive for the value offered. Great for hippos, birds, fishing, kayaking and horse riding.

They have good people but it's very fast from the main road about 18 km and it's very deep
