Zan-Seyoum Hotel - Lalibela

The place is very nice and well situated. The hotel has been recently renewed and the rooms are clean and well equipped, so that's a great point to explore the churches or surrounding areas of Lalibela. They also give a great service and a transfer to and from the airport, which is very convenient taking into account that the airport is far away from the city. Definitely I recommend it.

Hotel with large rooms, confortable beds, terrace with nice view on the surroundings and sunset. Zan-Seyoum Hotel is well managed by Johannes (owner) who provide you with precious informations and can organise all sort of personalised visits and excursions in Lalibela and region.

This is my favourite hotel in Lalibela, a town I know well. Zan Seyoum Hotel is situated on the edge of town where it is peaceful, airy and beautiful. The hotel owners are really welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble for them. Clean rooms, very quiet, everything in working order. And it's a short walk or tuk-tuk ride into town or to the place where the amazing rock-hewn churches are. Highly recommmended.

This hotel was one of the highlights for my trip to Lalibela. The service was phenomenal, the breakfast was delicious and the grounds of the hotel were Immaculate. The rooms themselves were clean, well furnished and free from insects. The staff were extremely attentive to our needs and we could tell they wanted us to have a great time. Pictured you will find us with the hotel owner and one of the staff members who was a gem of a human being. Stay here for the price, the service, the rooms and of course the lovely village of Lalibela.

I stayed here before the conflict and it was great. The accommodations were clean, staff was efficient and the owner, Yohannes, was wonderful. 10/10 would stay here again.

Very decent hotel, absolutely clean. It looks like the hotel was built recently because everything looks new outside like inside. Furnitures are brand new, the bathroom is at the European standards, and the shower has all the hot water you could expect. Very comfortable stay overall.

Lovely clean,comfortable family-run hotel; Johannes, his family and staff all went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Our rooms were impeccably clean, at the time of our visit (February) absolutely no insects of any sort. The food was simple and good- many items freshly prepared. Loved the breakfast pancakes with honey! N.B If driving Google maps WRONG Maps Me accurate.Ermias, guide,was knowledgeable and most kindly helped a slightly doddery older visitor! He also is a keen birdwatcher

Miejsce 100% godne polecenia. Bardzo ładny i przestronny pokój, wyjątkowo wygodne łóżko i smaczne śniadanie. Gościnność całego personelu na miejscu wręcz przerosła moje oczekiwania, najmilszy pobyt w całej Etiopii. Polecam każdemu!

Minha experiência foi muito boa. Ambiente muito limpo, funcionários muito educados e prestativos. Comida muito boa, o proprietário é um jovem muito educado e culto que nos recebeu muito bem em seu estabelecimento. Recomendo fortemente esse hotel.

Llegue a Lalibela y me sentí abrumado hasta que llegue a este hotel y me hicieron sentir como en casa. La amabilidad de su dueño y comodidad de la habitación ayudaron a que tenga una gran estadía en Lalibela. Muy recomendable este alojamiento en todo sentido.

Hotel is basic but clean. Breakfast is very basic. If you like to just stay for a night for sleep, would be economical budget 3 star hotel. There is not much around area.

We were not happy because GAdventure originally, plan to stay at Sora lodge or equivalent but swapped to this hotel. This hotel is not same quality as Sora lodge. We visited Sora lodge and seen beautiful view from sunset bar and garden. We did not see the standard room but seen a few other rooms. They are much nicer. Although as isolated as Zan-Seyoum but at least they have nice restaurants and other restaurants near by, too.
