An experience to remember, my daughter of 8years did not want to return home after an amazing relaxing stay and the clean, big, fun swimming pool. Best hotel in Bahir Dar. This was the first time I had a clear view of the famous Lake Tana, and it was as mesmerizing as I heard.

I was lucky to have arrived right before a thunderstorm, so I got to see that whole scene be transformed by the arrival of some pregnant clouds and winds that disturbed the lakewater.
I'm grateful we hadn't taken a boat ride and gotten stuck in the midst of the storm, though (as a boat or two had been).

Also, the food was much better than I expected (I had a Margarita pizza with extra olives) and the people who ordered the fish loved it too.

Something I appreciated is when I was taking pictures of our group, our waiter offered to take pictures with me in them and he took great care to take some good snapshots. That was nice.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kuriftu Resort in Bahir Dar, and it was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived until the day of departure, I was enthralled by the beauty of the resort and the exceptional service provided by the staff.
The location of Kuriftu Resort is simply breathtaking. Nestled on the shores of Lake Tana, the resort offers stunning views of the tranquil waters and lush surroundings. The well-manicured gardens and colorful flowers added a touch of serenity to the entire atmosphere.
The accommodations at Kuriftu Resort were nothing short of luxurious. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and meticulously maintained. The comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep, and the private balcony provided a perfect spot to enjoy the scenic beauty that surrounded me.
One of the highlights of my stay was the impeccable service provided by the staff. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive waitstaff at the on-site restaurants, every member of the team was dedicated to ensuring my comfort and satisfaction. They were always available to address any inquiries or requests with a genuine smile, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay.
The resort's amenities were also top-notch. The spa facilities offered a wide range of treatments, and the skilled therapists left me feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. The swimming pools were clean and inviting, providing a refreshing escape from the Ethiopian heat. The on-site restaurants offered a delightful culinary journey with a variety of delicious dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients.
Exploring the nearby attractions was a breeze, thanks to the resort's convenient location. Lake Tana, with its ancient monasteries and breathtaking islands, was easily accessible, allowing me to immerse myself in the rich history and natural beauty of the area.

Whether you seek a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat, this resort is the epitome of perfection. I cannot recommend Kuriftu Resort enough and eagerly anticipate my next visit to this hidden gem on the shores of Lake Tana.

I loved staying here! The views are beautiful and the rooms absolutely lovely. Enjoy a swim in the pool on a sunny day. 5 stars for staff, venue and over all feel! Perfect for a romantic getaway or luxury stay in Bahar Dar. Highly recommend.

Didn't get to stay here so I can't say anything about the rooms. But had lunch and dinner a few times and used the pool for a bit. Grounds are gorgeous and the eco-lodge aesthetic is perfect for the shores of Lake Tana. Probably your best option for Western food, with some good local flavors as well (take advantage of the fresh fish options!).

One of my favorite resorts to stay at but this time it seems that the management doesn’t care a lot about the service.
-When we asked for a sugar they told us they are in shortage of sugar and don’t have it at all. Even though the resort were almost empty just us and other one family guests were there.
-Second issue its the swimming pool, this is the third time I have been to Bahir Dar in three months and the swimming pool is not working.
-Third issue we use to have our lovely special room that we do love it because of the nice memories that we do have so we always choose it but this time after we chose it and made the checked in to the room they came to ask us to change the room due to some construction issues. We didn’t have a problem with that because the way of their asking was so nice and polite but I hope next times to avoid those things of problems.
Finally all other things are perfect specially the stuff there are so kind,Friendly and helpful they will never let you feel disappointed.
I hope the management will take those notes in serious way.

Beautiful resort right on Lake Tana. Nice pool, restaurant and spa and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rainy season is a great time to visit, as the resort is quiet and prices are lower.

Great place to chill for a day. Pool fee is just 150 Birr. Enjoy the breeze on a hot day there. Friendly staff and nice hotel design

Beautiful location on Lake Tana in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. Great breakfast bar. The boat tour on Lake Tana was great! Blue Nile Falls not far from here.

I've been there for a few hours in the afternoon so I cannot judge rooms and other services. The food was very good, a lot better than the normal Ethiopian standards. Great location, very nice staff.

I really enjoyed this resort. There is a good view of Lake tana and a swimming pool aside, They have an amazing food as well all n all its a place to be while others visit Bahirdar.

Lovely setting on Lake Tana. Very good resort for Ethiopia. Slow service in restaurant but fod is great. Can definitely recommend it.

Great service, friendly staff and good pool on the lakeside. Rooms good but the electrics need attention. Fast free WiFi.
