Everything we tried was delicious! We went again for lunch for the next day :) the staff is very nice especially the male server. The ambiance of the place is great with beautiful interiors. Highly recommend !

Great menu del dia. Super friendly staff.

Amazing restaurant, easily accessible, hidden in a smaller street. We had menu for 15,50€, including appetiser, main dish, dessert and soda. The food quality and taste was excellent. The waiters were professional. In our 5 days stay in Madrid we came here twice, and we would come back anytime.

This place is most excellent. We had a fantastic meal here with a very friendly excellent waiter who happened to be in town from Ukraine. We really like the food it was comfortable, air conditioned comment pleasant

Outstanding restaurant
We stumbled upon this excellent restaurant by accident.
At a table outside, from where you can wonderfully watch what is happening on the street, we were served very attentively, friendly and quickly, despite our insufficient knowledge of Spanish. The selected dishes were so excellent that we were guests again at Matute the following evening and from the service, but above all the very friendly and charming manager Andrea - many thanks Andrea! - were warmly welcomed.
Special mention should be made of the tuna tartar and the seared tuna, which were excellent both nights. Salmorejo, wok noodles, tabbouleh and various desserts were also good.
The value for money is good.

Simple but refined cuisine freshly cooked with attention

We visited here twice during our short stay in Madrid. We really liked it. Its chic and trendy and in a fantastic neighbourhood with great restaurants traditional bars and trendy shops. The prices are very reasonable and they serve a range of really good cocktails. The food was just delicious. The 4 of us all had different meals and we all really enjoyed them. I'd definitely recommend this place.

One of our favourite places in Madrid. The wine and cappuccinos is amazing. The staff is so helpful and friendly.

Excellent food and experience

The place is really hip and bohemian. The it's a great speak easy bar and restaurant. Large bar, comfortable seating with sofas and good size coffee tables, chill out music and and an eclectic atmosphere that welcomes you to stay and just people watch.

Excellent little find. Waitress made us a perfect martini. Hummus is delicious along with our other items. In our neighborhood of where we stayed in Madrid

So delicious! We had a Lunch there. Was so nice! Good prices and central located. The best rips i ve tried. Also vegetable Cream is yum!

I live right down the street from Matute and this is my go to grub spot. The entire menu is tasty but the pabellón is incredible, Each bite sends a plethora of harmonizing flavors through your taste buds that always leaves you completely satisfied. While they bring you a wide variety of delicious sauces, the signature hot sauce really stands out and is one of the best tasting sauces I've ever had. While an arepa could fill you up, we can never resist ordering the tostones because it's the perfect simple, yet delicious starter for two.

If this wasn't enough, Matute is a cool, quant eatery that can be romantic or just a fun place to get a bite with friends. To cap it all off, it's run by a friendly, warm team that always make you feel at home.

Whether you're a local looking for a fun new spot or just visiting Madrid, Matute is a must-go!

Enjoyed the great dinner...service is excellent and the atmosphere is superb .. Price is more than reasonable for what you experience..
