La Bodega Bohemia Taberna

We went for dinner. We ordered many things, and everything was freshly prepared and delicious. Their homemade sangria wine is a must try, it was the best wine we’ve tried in the whole Madrid.

The restaurant is a family owned business, located in the heart of Madrid, on Cava Miguel, the atmosphere is very uplifting and represents everything Spanish. If you are up for a traditional Spanish karaoke, homemade sangria, and the best hosts ever, this is the place for you.

Awesome local ambient with entertainment and excellent flavors. Ordered the pulpo a la gallega, gambas al ajillo, and paella mixta meaning paprika octopus, garlic prawns and paella mix (seafood and chic). Delish!!

The prawns are flavorful with garlic and olive oil. Great with bread for dipping. The octopus were thinly sliced with nice grill charred while the paella is more of a Seville style which is a bit more gravy or moisture instead of Madrid style drier.

The ambient was filled with the pianist playing the electric piano. The waitress was very friendly. Great meal and reasonable pricing even though just outside of plaza mayor!

Highly recommend. The place seems to be filled with famous stars ...very nostalgic!

Really very good pallea, texture and amount, everything is perfect. Very funny and polite staff, he suggested what is best for us, which was very nice of him.

Summary: One of my fav karaoke spots! You feel really at home here.

Atmosphere: There is a very talented latin keyboardist who plays along with youtube. The interior is classically old world Spanish. The vibe is very non-judgmental-casual. People will dance to people singing or clap and support whoever comes up to sing. It's amazing. People are every single age from Abuela to joven. it's just lovely and feels like you're getting a very authentic Madrid culture. People that go are from all over. One guy even brought his chihuaha. Love love!!

Karaoke: You can let the pianist know the song, and he'll have you type it in and the lyrcis will come up on small screen. Then you sing. If he is able to play along with you get a little extra something. It's quite lovely. Sometimes, people will bring guitars and also play and sing. Very casual vibe where music is the deal.

The Food: Actually really delicious. I only had the meatballs b/c I was there for the karaoke, but it is a very homestyle sort of spot. If I had been with different people I would have just enjoyed dinner there instead of elsewhere along with drinks. The meatballs almost felt like they were getting a bit of a chicken broth flavor instead of a heart heavy beef broth type of flavor. Really yummy!!!

The Service: I just love these people. The Domincana waitress reminded me of my friends from home. She'll encourage you to sing and dance. Just a really kind group of people.

Locale bellissimo e particolare, lo staff molto gentile, hanno il menù anche in italiano.
Abbiamo assaggiato 2 tipi di paella e le patata bravas tutto ottimo, anche la sangria!

Un tesoro en el centro de Madrid. Cada vez que entro a este sitio me hacen sentir como estoy en casa. La buena calidad de comida, la música alegre y su hospitalidad se crea un ambiente muy especial e inolvidable. Lo recomiendo!!
