I really loved my experience here.
The staff was really nice even while the place was super loaded. People eat late so around 3pm on weekends it's super crowded.
There are many rooms so pick your ambiance. The food is really good and typical from Madrid. I had Fabadas, it's a kind of chili and it was delicious! With a glass of wine 3€ fair and good. Don't look anywhere else! Its worth the stop.

I went for lunch and I had the promotional menu: rabo de toro con papas y pimiento, included a vaso de vino tinto (o cerveza). Super good choice, and I tried a cheesecake as dessert.
Oh, once seated you are welcomed with a little aperitivo, and bread is not charged. Final bill 18.60€. Excellent price/value.

A local tour guide recommend this restaurant as one of his favorites and it was one of my favorite meals in Spain! He said it was where the locals go and I can definitely agree with that. I loved that I could walk in and get a table (I went around 10pm or 22:00) and the food was amazing. I recommend the oxtail and jamon Iberica slices. I would definitely come back. Also the service is super friendly and nice. The restaurant is close to a lot of popular bars nearby and there was so much going on outside afterwards in the area which was fun to see!

Cute Spanish bar with lovely staff. The best bit is that when you order a drink they give you a little snack to try. The red sangria is really good too.

I recently dined at this Spanish restaurant and had the pleasure of trying their "Rabo de Toro en salsa", or oxtail stew in sauce. It was absolutely delicious! The oxtail was cooked to perfection, with the meat falling off the bone. The sauce was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning to complement the meat without overpowering it.

The restaurant itself had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with traditional Spanish decor and a friendly staff who were attentive to my needs. The menu had a nice variety of dishes, from classic Spanish tapas to heartier meat and seafood dishes.

Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Spanish cuisine in a cozy and comfortable setting. The oxtail stew was a standout dish that I would definitely order again. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable meal.

We wanted to try cocido and Google recommended this place which is close to our hotel. The server didn't speak much English but we were able to point on the menu as it's also in English which helps tremendously. He first brought out what seems to be noodle soup which was welcoming since it rained + cold today. Then few minutes later he brought out a big plate of cocido - it is definitely a hearty meal and my favorites were the bacon, shank and brisket. Not a big fan of the sausages - blood or chorizo, chicken felt dry. An order of this plate is definitely more than enough to share between two adults, we couldn't finish everything as the chick peas really filled us up!

In a charming place, good , local food. We tried the tuna salad, Spanish omelette, crochets (we didn't like it that much), soup and meet balls (great)

We were famished when we arrived at this lovely restaurant. We were ordering a lot of food and the waiter gestured us to stop and told us to order what he suggested. We followed his suggestions and were so satisfied! It’s a local, traditional spot among a lot of newer restaurants near by. Cocido Madrileño is a must!

Have been to Madrid three times, always return here. The food is great, wine list short but right on the money, ambiance relaxed, prices unbelievably affordable. Two small TVs serve the football aficionados. Try the sardinas, bacalao, veal meatballs, garlic shrimps... And finish with Pacharan liqueur. Delicious!

A very friendly and colorful place. Popular among locals and tourists. Fast service. A nice spot to sample wine and typical foods. We used it few times to warm up with wine and fried green papers and anchovy

A lovely place to dine in, we had dinner there and had a great time. the decorations and vibe of the place is nice, and the staff kind and helpful. Even without speaking Spanish and with our waiter not speaking a lot of English, we were helped and figured things out smoothly. We tried a plate of fried seafood, which was nice and crispy, and the complementary snack of ham, salami and cheese we got with our drinks were very tasty too. The tomatoes of the tomato-oregano salad were alright, although I was hoping they would be a bit more flavourful. All in all it was a nice experience and I would definitely go again if/when I visit Madrid again :)

The place is authentically Spain. It is quaint and has the friendliest staff. The food is wonderful and the prices can't compare: three courses at lunch for eleven euros. Extraordinary! Plus it's in my favorite neighborhood:Plaza Santa Ana. Don't miss it when you are in Madrid.

Loved this place! Stopped in multiple times during our trip. You receive a free tapa with each drink and something different each time. They do accept credit cards now. Staff was great. We will definitely return next time we are in Madrid.

This was a smart pleasant bar restaurant, the staff were utterly attentive. Even if we said no Tapas they sneaked one in. Full of charm and character...warm and friendly... And NOT expensive for the old town center of Madrid.
