Restaurante Los Galayos

Beautiful old style restaurant with amazing staff who were helpful polite and very efficient. The menu is varied and we meat for our main course. My lamb chops were cooked to perfection and delicious - the other dish was suckling pig again cooked to perfection. They have a very good wine list and to finish we were presented with their own special liquor which was perfect to finish our evening - highly recommend this place

Amazing food and service! Fantastic sangria, excellent vegetarian paella! The patatas bravas were to die for. The cheesecake was scrumptious and they topped it all off with an after dinner drink with some dessert almond cookies .. oof! The best ever!

The servers are exceptionally attentive without being obtrusive, and the food is amazing without being so pretentious that it's the center of attention and everyone is talking about the food itself instead of catching up - that's exactly what you get here. There are several options for suckling pig in Madrid that are good choices, but I actually think that paired with the great staff and locale of Los Galayos, I prefer this over the others.

I don't know what the mystery liqueur was that we finished dinner with, but it was fantastic!

This is an absolute must visit whilst in Madrid, especially for the menu del dia. It was our first time trying this daily lunch special and it absolutely exceeded our expectations.

The service we received from Mauro was the best we’ve experienced in our 5 week Europe trip. The attentiveness and kind heartedness made the whole experience so memorable for us. The food was exceptional and Mauro took his time translate the whole menu for us and even taught us how to properly and easily remove the bones from our fish! The value of the food is also exceptional.

A must visit, you won’t regret it 😃

I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The sangria was delightful and a must-try. The cheese and ham platter was a perfect appetizer. However, the real star of the meal was the ox tail - it was incredibly tender, and the gravy was simply divine. I highly recommend this place for a memorable culinary journey! Best service EVER!

Really nice local spot by the plaza mayor. Enjoyed the seafood paella and the homemade peach liqueur. Staff is professional and friendly. Loved the atmosphere.

We stopped in here for a late afternoon snack and a glass of wine. This is a favorite restaurant of a friend and since he was with us we went in. The service was great and we tried a new wine offering recommended by the manager. It was very good! The tapas were excellent and the service was very friendly.

One of the best and most traditional Spanish food restaurants in Madrid. A bit pricey but worth every penny. Excellent food, great service and fantastic atmosphere.

Fabulous atmosphere! Bustling with lots of people and full of cool vibes. Hard to believe there are any vegetarians in Madrid! But if you are a meat eater, this is definitely a must-visit. Be sure to make a reservation!

My second time here, this time with the family. Love the atmosphere and the ambience. Great acoustics, so it is quiet and you can have a conversation. The salmorejo was perfect. Great taste. Well balance. The artichokes soft and perfectly seasoned, the melt in your mouth. The chipirones were awesome, well seasoned, not hard. The lomos de merluza, well cooked. My callos were spicy, but flavorful, the right amount. And loved the apricot digestive. And the croquetas, fantastic and light.

Great restaurant with authentic interior. I had the best sea food paella in this place!

Our last meal in Spain was here at this heritage restaurant. Los Galayos has been around since 1894 and their quality is impeccable. We loved their seafood and veg paella along with rest of the food and desserts. A big pricey but definitely worth it. Their paella is huge and a 2 portion paella is good enough for 3 people.

Amazing restaurant,one of the oldest in town ! Loved the food ,especially this black rice with shrimps ! All environment is red which made it a perfect choice for Valentine’s Day !

We ate on terrace. You get what you pay for: delicious, traditional, good portions. Service was impecable. 4 adults + 2 children was 130 euros.

Simple wonderful. The prawns with Garlic and then the Duck.. just beautiful. The wine selection could have been better but the house white wine( medium dry) was good too. The outside seating was too hot, so I preferred an inside AC area, to seat upstairs and it was crowded as well. But if you are all about food then nice place to explore. Little expensive though.

One of the best Spanish traditional food restaurants in Madrid. Great food, great service, great people, beautiful and absolutely authentic traditional Spanish interior design. The balance quality price is also great. One of my favorites in Madrid.

Great food with fantastic service, absolutely adored it and was one of the best nights I had in Madrid. Our waiter was quality and made our night.
