We stopped here on our way to Barcelona for the MotoGP. The hotel is very nice, clean and well maintained. Rooms were well above average for a hotel by El Camino de Santiago. We were treated like royalty, and the attention was amazing. Nothing was too much or too little. We had dinner and breakfast, and both were really good and tasty.

This is an acceptable hotel stop for pilgrims on the way to Santiago. Clean rooms with washing facilities outdoors. They also offer dinner for pilgrims.

The host is thoughtful and provides good service. Everyone in this house are nice. Dinner was perfect, after a long day walk, it’s very nice to have a steak for dinner.
I will miss them when back to Taiwan.

So worth walking the extra few km from Fromista to stay here! Highly recommend, the rooms are so clean and pretty, there's even a little bathtub and art on every wall. The garden is serene, the view from the room overlooks the rooftops of the town, and there's nothing but the sound of birds chirping in the morning. If you have someone to share a room with, the prices are not much more than an albergue. Don't be fooled by the 1star hotel designation, it's a pilgrim's 5star!

I only passed through Hotel Amanecer but Carmen, the lovely owner, made such an impression on me. After about 40km of walking on the Camino, much of it in direct sunlight, I stumbled into the hotel but was told it was full for the day. I broke down a little bit and was clearly stressed. Carmen sprung into action, had me sit down and handed me a glass of water and an orange. She then took it upon herself to call the next town’s albergue and book me a spot. I tearfully told her I didn’t know if I could make it another 5km, and she then cooked me a delicious vegetable stew and even brought me dessert, saying she wanted to make sure I felt strong enough. I felt so cared for and really felt like I met an angel. I gave her my protection bracelet that I have worn for over 6 years. I know you will feel the same love and care if you stop here. If I come back on the Camino one day, I will make sure to reserve a spot here

Thank you Carmen and Ricardo for taking such good care of us pilgrims and for the amazing paella and dinner in general. It was a real treat stopping at the hotel, being welcomed with a smile and a glass of delicious sangría, clean and spacious facilities and the chance to put your feet up while enjoying the sunset.
Un fuerte abrazo!

This was a lovely, quiet small hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious & home cooked. I would recommend you stay whether or not you are walking the Camino or, like us, passing through on the way to the ferry

The owners made me feel like part of the family. Outstanding service! The bedrooms are well lit, contemporary and very, very clean. We had a fantastic communal dinner during my stay. The most amazing paella I've tried in Spain so far.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The host, Carmen, is such a warm and welcoming woman. I did not at all feel like a pilgrim staying at a too fancy hotel. The room, for a pilgrim, is a bit expensive but if you're with two people the price is definitely worth it for once. The room has a small bath tub which is just lovely because a hot bath is so nice to relax the legs and all thz muscels. What was definitely the best, was the food. The paella and the dessert were just yummie, and also the breakfast was great for really good pilgrim prices! Even though it is not an albergue and hence more expensive, I definitely recommend this place to reward yourself and your body for one day and night along the Camino.

Hotel Amanecer is an excellent place to stay - comfortable, great food, wonderful hospitality. Carmen, proprietor/owner, was a wonderful hostess, attending to our needs as we were pilgrims on the Camino who needed a place to rest, refresh, and wash our clothes. I highly recommend Hotel Amanecer

An exceptional experience 😍. Guests are really warmly welcomed here. If I say that Carmen is a wonderful host it will give a very limited picture. Carmen and Team create this beautiful place. You can take a good rest in bright, spacy, comfortable and clean rooms. Rural area guarantees that night will be silent and calm. You can seat at the table with other pilgrims, eat delicious paella, drink a glass of wine and talk about your camino. 100 stars. Muchas, muchas gracias!

An incredible restaurant. I found this while walking the Camino de Santiago, and it was easily the best throughout so far. The building and restaurant are modern and beautiful, but not pretentious. They also provided generous coffee and juice carafes.

The bathrooms are also very clean, and even have soap and towels! What a wonderful surprise on the Camino (it's the little things in life...).

Lastly, the people are incredibly nice here, so be sure to stop by!

We had the most delicious pilgrims meal here even though we were not staying here and they had no other pilgrims. We stayed elsewhere but that place didn't have gluten free meals that we require. Amancener made us a fantastic three course pilgrims meal for 9€. I will stay here on my next Camino and wish we stayed here this time.

We had a great lunch in Amanecer en Campos, in terms of food quality, quantity and very affordable price. Owner was also very kind at all time. It's placed in Camino de Santiago, in a lovely area to visit. Highly recommended!

I did not stay here, but stopped in for breakfast one very cold and stormy morning. I cannot recommend this place enough. The lovely lady who runs the place did not seem to mind that the sleet off my pack was making icy puddle on the floor, and took care that I was more than comfortable and very well fed. She embodies the spirit of the way.
A hundred thank yous - muchas, muchas gracias!
