Iglesia de San Martin de Fromista, aka The Church of San Martin in Fromista on the Camino Frances is a great example of Romanesque architecture. Originally built in 1066.

Outstanding Romanesque church. Extraordinarily well restored. Easily accessible through a convenient highway. A must if you are visiting the province of Palencia. It surpassed my expectations, which were high already.

Splendid monument of early Romanesque architecture. Church was built in second half of XI century and mentioned first time in the chronics in 1066. There are a lot of stone carved Romanesque capitals made in XII century. Church stands on the most popular Pilgrim way to Santiago de Campostela known as Camino Frances. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

Beautiful iconic Romanesque church located in centre of Fromista. Worth having a look inside too. Austere interior with serene natural light.

Lovely church, dating back to 1066. Beautiful stonework both inside and outside. Very simply decorated otherwise. Fromista is a short way off the A67, and makes a good stop off if driving.
