El Camarote

We ordered the zucchini sticks to start. They were sweet and crisp and a generous portion. More than enough for 4 people to share. I had the grilled squid with black ink rice. Also very delicious.
The service was also great. Our server was pleasant and our food was delivered in a decent time. Very nice atmosphere.

An excellent little restaurant mainly patronised by the locals. We visited twice during our few days in Madrid. The service is excellent and the food very good, serving good local wine.
On our second visit for some reason the cheaper local menu wasn’t available and the different waiters weren’t as attentive or friendly. Maybe too much of a good thing, one visit may have been sufficient.

The food we had was excellent and the waiter made us feel comfortable despite only one person speaking Spanish. The atmosphere was great. We really enjoyed our dinner there.

I found this restaurant by chance while looking for a place that was not too touristy. We had an excellent meal, especially the tortilla, which is dine in a traditional way. It was so good, that we went back at the end of our vacation to have it again. Anyway, I am shocked at the fact that this restaurant only has a 3 star rating. I am less shocked by some of the idiotic comments in some of the reviews. Here is my editorial comment in reply. If you want wait staff that speak perfect English, stay home. Your paella takes a while because it is cooked to order, if you want it right away, get it from McDonald's. Before you complain that the tortilla is not properly cooked, educate yourself about how a ration of tortilla is supposed to be. The only strange thing I noted was that they charge you for bread that they bring to the table regardless of whether you ask for it. Bottom line, this is one of the best places I have eaten at in Madrid.

The caldo gallego was excellent and our second dish of chicken breast with egg and potatoes equally good. Service was outstanding as well. Highly recommend!

We had a delightful evening outdoors while the children were gathering for Halloween on the square. Charming location, friendly service, and our food was delicious. La Latina is a very busy neighborhood and yet we were welcomed like old friends and not rushed.

Great breakfast at an affordable price, awesome special and prompt service from jadi. Live music playing on the street made for great ambiance!

It could be a little long to get a place in the terrace but in the oder hand you will be able to take some drinks and tapas inside. Waiters are really kind and they do recomend excellent plates. If you are near on the La Latina neighborhood, you should make a stop there!

Classic bar/restaurant in Madrid. Food, service and atmosphere, all them deserve the five stars.

Amazing Tapas food and Fantastic service and the staff are really friendly and very helpful. Good prices as well. If you get a chance it is worth going and is close to the Metro.
