Hotel Altair

Beautiful hotel, large room comfy bed, large tv and amazing shower, NUX products for hair body etc. The breakfast was so fresh plentiful and staff friendly. So close to all old town sites.

This was an excellent hotel for our brief 2 night stay. The ladies running it were so friendly and couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. Right down to explaining the easiest and cheapest way to park. The room was lovely and comfortable with a great shower and very fast internet. Also a/c should you need it. Breakfast had a great selection of fruit, cereals, toast, croissant, cheeses etc. The best cup of tea we have had success leaving England as well. We definitely plan to return at a later date. We spent the night in Santiago de Compostela and stayed here. We reserved ahead of time and decided based on photos. We were so glad we stayed here. We had a beautiful corner room, and the room was great. The fridge for wine was great. Excellent location as well. We were just steps away from the historic district. Also, the breakfast for 9 euros per person should not be missed!! Great coffee and a nice selection of items. We recommend highly. The staff are fantastic, knowledgeable and very helpful!!

We had a fantastic stay recently. The hotel is well located close to the centro and beautifully done. The food at breakfast is so plentiful and fresh every day. Where they get an outstanding from us is the staff. Amazing from the first contact when I booked. You can always tell. Great ambassadors indeed. Gracias por todo.

My partner and I stayed here for two nights. Given an attic room which was spacious and comfortable. Hospitality was superb, not to mention their $9 euro breakfast - as noted in pictures- was great. However, I’d be nice if eggs were served. Overall a wonderful stay.

Nice hotel with a very good service. Very well located, close to the historical centre but out of the crowded area! Breakfast is also very good.

Excellent Hotel in Santiago. Last stay on my camino. Nice room. Top fast WiFi. Excellent service by the staff. Got a taxi booking and a packed breakfast for my very early departure for next day.

I wish I could give them ten stars. Wife came down with a stomach bug that required a trip to the ER. Hotel personnel were fantastic in arranging this. Her illness required two extensions of our stay. Again the hotel staff came through, accommodating us and even moving our luggage to a new room. I can't say enough about the fine treatment we received from personnel at Hotel Altair.

The hotel is located in the historical centre of Santiago de Compostela, in a perfect location close to city sights but in a quiet street. It's a completely remodelled old building with an amazing decoration. Our room was in the attic, it was a spacious one with lovely sloping ceilings made of wood, and we spent a wonderful weekend visiting the city and the best non-touristic restaurants, with wise advice from the staff. Not only the hotel is physically amazing, but the personnel are super helpful, and they truly want to make your stay as better as possible. One of the best hotels I’ve ever been.

Comfortable and clean rooms with excellent service. We arrived relatively late at 11pm and can to leave around 4am to catch a flight. The front desk clerk, Teresa, went far and beyond accommodating us on such short notice and helping us book a taxi. She even work up early to make sure our taxi would arrive. Located on a quaint street. Highly recommended.

Hotel is just steps from city center with excellent late night eateries next door and up the block just in case you get back from touring at midnight as we did. Friendly, helpful staff, and great breakfast for 8.5 euros. Small but nice room. City center is very loud at night so better to be just outside it here.
