Delicious food served here!! Very traditional restaurant serving up booze and tasty grub. They have space by the bar and tables on the opposite side as well as additional seating further in - highly recommend dining here if you have the opportunity, note it can get busy and cramped during peak hours

The place is always busy so if you don’t have a reservation, get ready to wait. But the food is worth the wait!! 🤤

The burrata is so creamy and the grilled peach makes it extra yummy and totally complements the saltiness of the jamón iberico and creaminess of the burrata.

Must try the rabo de toro😍
Croquetas with squid ink are also amazing!!
I think I got pregnant from the foods haha 🤰

The second oldest resto in Madrid 1827! Very good service and very good traditional food!
Also the tipical atmosphere, Bit crowded but that.s the spirit on 19th century! In the building next to it lived Cervantes!!!

They've perfected what they do and don't need to change. White jacketed waiters bringing out the best food, good service and well paced. I had morcilla bonbons and Madrid style tripe stew. Bottle of rioja. Super happy with my meal.

Very traditional and authentic restaurant in the heart of Madrid. Trusted by locals, the only sure thing is you will try Madrid local authentic recipes. Everything we tried was fresh and tasty. Snails, squid croquettes, Spanish tortillas. Maybe make a reservation if you don't want to wait, but you will definitely find a table if you are happy to wait for a few minutes.

What a great place and obviously beloved by locals as you'll discover when you try to get a seat.... The menus of the day are a great bargain and the classics not to me missed... They have a good way with fish , soups and my Raba de Toro was delicious ...Wine by the glass is great value and easy to drink.. Considering the packed house the waiters are amazing.

We ordered the blood sausage brownie and some vermouth. The blood sausage was very rich and tasty, definitely not your average brownie. The vermouth drinks were awesome. We ended up buying a couple bottles to take home and they were very affordable.

Attractive and inviting exterior and interior design. Very lively place to drink and eat. We had the veal meatballs and the oxtail tapas. The meat was super soft and tender. Lots of choices of tapas on the menu. Very laid back place to be at.

If you are in Madrid Casa Alberto is a must!
Unbelievable food, great service and atmosphere. The staff were so friendly to us even though we tried our limited Spanish (and probably failed)

Go and enjoy with a cold glass of Sangria or Vermouth

Delicious food and delightful service. Very nice vibe!

I loved the interior as well. The place is a bit small. Hope you visit it when it is not crowded.

Should I add good TV to watch World Cup 2022?

Enjoy 😊

The authentic spanish taberna experience!
During our 4 days stay in Madrid we went twice to Casa Alberto and food was delicious and atmosphere great each time! We went in during lunch time with no reservations and they always made room for us. Of course we recommend to book in advance, but want to appreciate how flexible and willing to acomodate every guest they are.
Food is incredible! Very authentic but also tasty, we recommend the daily menu for a great price and value.
Yes, it's loud and crowded but it embodies exactly the Spanish culture.
Thank you, Casa Alberto! You're the best!

Great authentic small tapas bar. Vermut on tap very good and all tapas dishes we tried were excellent. Good prices for the quality of food and wine. Really buzzing vibe. Waiters do a great job of getting customers served and seated for food. Always busy and may be a short queue outside but worth waiting.

This is a must go to restaurant in Madrid!

We had to wait half an hour for a table but it was definitely worth every minute of the wait. We ordered half portions and they were still enough to feed both of us.

We ordered 3 dishes, received complimentary bread and chicharron and the pitcher of sangria. Left full and happy with both the service and the quality of the food.

The place is really cozy. The food was tasty (super good Tarta de Queso). The wine matched perfect with the food. The service was special, efficient and direct. At the end we even had some Spanish grapa. We 100% recommend it.

Very nice place. You can sit in the bar area or further on in the restaurant. Great food, reasonable prices and very fast and helpful service. And the vermouth! Definitely recommend a visit. And you can also buy a bottle of vermouth & torreznos to go.

This was great food in a super friendly atmosphere. We got so many bites for free with the vermouth we ordered. We came out happier than before.

If you're looking for that "classic" tapas restaurant... but more traditional restaurant than "gourmet" tapas - then besides knowing that there is no "gourmet tapas" haha - stop at Casa Alberto. It will be packed with tourists and locals, but it's fun to drop in for a bite or a while meal. Food and service are great! Just look at this burrata salad with sausage, peaches, etc!

My wife and I ate here last December. The waiters were gas and real Madrilaños, whose general traits in Madrid I loved. Anyway, the meal we had there was one of the best ever: the scrambled cod and straw potatoes were lovely and the mains of grilled hake ( which I'd say had a small amount of garlic)and prawns was the nicest fish meal I ever had; the hake was chunky as well, the way I love fish.

A great example of a local restaurant with authentic food and care. It has good ambiance. The goat cheese with ham as a starter and a baccala on a bed of beans were a winner for me. They have a good selection of wine. Could not try the desert menu after a full meal but it looked attractive. Reservation is essential. It has a high circulation until late hours. The best tables are further inside , far from the door and the bar. Suggest when booking a table mention it. It is located in a touristic and lively street.
