Great tapas bar with an authentic atmosphere. Vermuth on tap. Good variety of intestines, morcilla, garlic, mushrooms are also delicious. Must try in Madrid

Popular diner bursting with people. The shop only sits 30 plus pax so it’s really busy and we queued at least 45 mins when there was only 2 sets of customers in front of us. We had to have our dinner standing at the counter with another couple. Food and price was very worth it. We ordered the chorizo sausage, egg and potato with special sauce, mushrooms and skewer. Food was plenty for 2 girls. Service Was also fast and they had an English menu. Hygiene could be improved though as the lady drop our bread, which she caught with her chest ,and then proceed to serve it to us.

Fantastic service and food! Especially the sweetbreads are out of this world! Reasonable prices and a must-try when in Madrid.

This was fantastic. The food is on point, noting was overcooked and very delicious. The staff was also courteous and answered any questions we had. Great job, casa de Toni. Keep up the good work.

When in Madrid, trying tapas is a must! Casa Toni is an incredibly well-known restaurant in Madrid, often recommended in YouTube videos, and my boyfriend was so eager to experience their famous tapas.

We indulged in Champiñones a la Plancha (mushrooms on hot plate), Pincho de Morcilla (skewered chunk of blood sausage), Oreja Plancha (chopped pig ears). Let me tell you, those pig ears are a must have here. They were super super delicious.

The unique aspect is that they cook right in front of you, providing an amazing spectacle as we sat and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere filled with people. The place was just bustling with happy conversations and had a great vibe -- making it a perfect spot to relish appetizing food.

Trying so many new things here was such a delightful experience for us and we loved each and everything. And it was so reasonably priced.

This is the best spot to have tapas and a must must visit!!! :)

Twice we had dinners here during our five day visit in Madrid. We repeated orders of great shrimp tapas, baby green chili stir fried, and very simple but delicious tomatoes salad. We tried the pig ear dish but not so crazy about it. Drinks were good, so was service. We really liked the authentic feel of this place and its location, which is right in the center of tapas and tavern haven of Madrid. Highly recommended.

Madrid‘s not-so-hidden gem. A small bar restaurant but BIG on local flavours. A little adventurous? Order the Mollejas (glands), lamb intestines and pig ears. Callos is a must! Mouthwatering…

Amazing food, amazing service. The servers were the funniest and sweetest people, and they made us feel at home. Both times. The Sangria is not too sweet, and you get a huge jug for a good price. Our top tapa picks are the Gambas, the padron peppers and the gazpacho. Enjoy and thankyou your reading!

One of the best tapas places we’ve been to during our visit in Madrid. The food was super delicious at reasonable prices and the staff was just amazing. Casa Toni is very popular so expect a little wait when you visit especially since it’s located in a popular location. Try to sit upstairs if the bar seems full. The staff was patient with us when we ordered in English and even chatted with us during dinner. The food was fresh and the menu was simple and easy to order from. Highly recommend!

Tempted by the opinions about delicious tapas, we lined up even before the opening of the restaurant. We got a table at the bar so we could admire the work of the chefs which was an amazing experience. We got a starter to start - ham with oil and bread - delicious. then the dishes we ordered started to arrive - spicy grilled sausage, blood susage, leg of lamb, pig ears and shrimp with garlic. Everything is delicious, fresh and fragrant! The eyes would still eat but the mind would not, which is a pity, because we will ordered more portions:) I recommend this place to everyone, however you choose a seat downstairs by the bar - watching the staff in action is 50 percent of the atmosphere and experience of this place. sitting upstairs you won't experience it. The staff is very busy but friendly and tries to make everything served quickly and efficiently.

Casa Toni!!! It’s a staple of Madrid serving incredibly delicious Tapas and drinks… Their homemade Sangria is a must! They’re quite busy during the dinner hour so you may have to wait but trust me, it’s worth it! Always fresh and hot and delicious! The decor is definitely old as are the tables and stools but that’s all part of the charm. I highly recommend the chorizo, sardines and eggplant… but then again, everything we tried was simple delicious!

Very busy on Boxing day but the host found us a seat downstairs. Lovely wine and very traditional Tapas, like tripe lambs intestines etc. I went for the Secreto with padron peppers. Delicious. Highly recommended.

Belated review but summary: I’ve been to Spain multiple times, to more than 10 cities. Casa Toni remains my top 3 favorite gastronomic experiences. Definitely the place that kick started my love for tapas and Spain.

A longer review:

I first visited Spain with colleagues in Mar 22. We visited this place and fell in love we came back. Especially for the chopitos.

In Nov 22, my brother wanted to do a graduation trip so I suggested Spain since I had to be in Portugal for Xmas. I brought him here and he loved it as well, we were talking about coming here when we returned for our outbound flights. He absolutely loved the chopitos as well. We were here 3 times in 4 days in Madrid. The missing day was because it was festivo and Casa Toni was closed.

I can vouch that all the food here that we have tried were all super delicious (not just the chopitos), and the prices were reasonable, if not affordable (we splurged one night and ordered 6-7 raciones between the two of us and it came down to barely €20/pax). Drinks were also pretty good even though people told us sangria is a tourist drink.

The staff also were friendly and nice. Special shout out to my friend Jamil, whom has been nothing but an absolutely welcoming host for us. He was super friendly, all smiles, gave great recommendations, and nothing but a friend took care of us well.

All in all, Casa Toni is a rare gem that I want people to know (because it is that good!) yet do not want people to know (because it is a small establishment!).

Overall 9/10
Service 10/10
Cleanliness 9/10

Love all the dish. Especially the pig ear, so tasty and doesn't have the pig smell (boar taint). All dish is not salty. The fried anchovies is fresh.

Totally worth it!!!.

Hyped but still good. Their signature pig ear is heavenly and I’ll miss it forever. The tripe is a hard pass, not much flavour and a tiny bit gamey. This is a quick, local vibe tapas bar so do not expect great service. You gotta fight for your staff attention. No English menu, limited English speaking staff. Super busy at times with long lines. I would give this 4 stars but the pig ears are just that amazing.

Trust your guts and trust me and just order the pig’s ears. Smoky, crunchy and delicious! I also ordered the tripe, it was good but I preferred the pig’s ears. The manager was very kind and attentive. I asked for a beer which the manager was already pouring from the tap but when I changed my mind and asked for a sangria instead, he was nice enough to change. As a customer, please come in with a smile and some patience. The waitresses were very busy but they were all friendly and welcoming. I love the atmosphere and the food. Prices are affordable. I highly recommend Casa Toni for true tapas.

All round 5 stars - tapas bar with great food and portions to fill you up! 🇪🇸🍽🍺

Get here as soon as you can as it fills up fast in the evenings! You'll find all the classic tapas here like chorizo/spicy sausage, gambas, padron, patatas bravas, and also some interesting others worth trying - notably the pig's ear (oreja) and fried braided/weaved intestine (zarajos). The pig's ear is a great & modest entry point for those unfamiliar with offal dishes - nicely fried, crispy and fatty, served with a fiery sauce on the side.

Portions are really decent here so no need to order so many plates - you get plenty with one plat! The house sangria is also a fun time, definitely order a glass! 🍷

Wonderful cheery staff too; from those you can see frying orders up by counter to those zipping around taking orders and serving up - much love for Casa Toni.

We ate at Casa Toni on a Friday night. I read other reviews that suggested you get there before opening to wait in line. They opened at 7:30 pm and we arrived around 7:25 pm and there were about 3-4 parties waiting in line. Shortly after, they let everyone in and and it seemed to be first come, first serve in regards to tables. There is a small amount of seating downstairs and a bit more upstairs. We sat upstairs and it definitely got a bit warm. There is a single waiter that took care of the entire upstairs and he was efficient and fairly friendly (he didn't seem to like it when customers were flagging him down to order). We had sangria, pig ears, lamb sweetbreads, fried eggplant, fried green chilis, and squid sandwich (2 people). This felt like just about the right amount of food for us. Note that although the menu says it has a mixed salad, it does not and only has the tomato salad. We loved everything we ate except the squid sandwich. I thought the sangria tasted dangerously good (i.e. very easy to drink a lot of it). The pig ears were very crispy and delicious. The lamb sweetbreads were grilled/fried really well. The eggplant was crispy and had a yummy sauce drizzled on top. The peppers were not spicy and fun to eat. The squid sandwich was just OK - we know it's very popular in Madrid so we wanted to try it. We left around 8:30 pm and the entire restaurant was packed and there was a line outside. Overall, I would definitely recommend eating at Casa Toni to try some unique dishes!

If you’re looking for something authentic and simple then this is the place. Nice atmosphere, good food, wine, sangria and cerveza. Best chorizo I ever had, but also a few local products like lamb intestines fried on a stick. Great pardons.
