Taberna LA CONCHA

The food and services were amazing! This restaurant is spectacular and has almost every menu item offered gluten free. I have Celiac and I was so happy eating here. The waiter Javier is amazing.

The only negative is that the seats are tiny, they are stools. If you have large legs or are a bigger person, this will unfortunately not be a comfortable dining experience for you.

Excellent vibe delicious food and a damn good glass of vermouth. I’m not even a vermouth guy but that drink slapped. Worth the wait to get in. When inside either stand or grab a stool and you’re set for a nice little experience.

Had the pork cheeks, amazing. Vermouth is made in house also delicious. Met great couple from back home and had great conversation…making the atmosphere even better. Love the place and would come back.

Only few tables, but the food is very good. The menu is in English too. We had a little problem to communicate in English, but with a bit of wine everything was sorted out. The atmosphere was authentic, a real spanish tapas bar that we will definitely recommend.

Amazing for authentic gluten free food, wine and their signature Vermouth! We had the pork cheek and the anchovy toast along with some of the best gluten free bread I've ever had. The owners were really welcoming and the taberna is gorgeous and full of atmosphere. They take card and the service is great. Highly recommended!

We love Taberna LA CONCHA so much we came back on the same trip. The BEST vermut and dozens of great tapas, and smiling servers. The space can be crowded, but enjoy the human experience in this local treasure.

Super cute place with a distinct homely vibe. You may almost miss it if you're walking the street it's located in. Service is a little slow but I guess that how it is in all tapas places as they're bustling. Food is really good and the in house Vermouth cocktail is a must try!

Went for the Vermouth cocktail and stayed much longer because of the staff and then the amazing tapas. Of course I had to have more of the cocktails. Small tapas bar, well worth stopping at and staying to sample the delicious food but drinks. Barman was super!

A great find just far away from the main plaza to be authentic. A varied selection of different kinds of tapas that we'd never seen before. The staff were friendly and they had a house special cocktail for €3.50 which was delicious and seemed to be the mainstay of the locals. Prices were great too. Highly recommemd.

Really fun place. Packed. The main level is where the actions are and try to wait for a table or a bar area. Downstairs is a bit sad in atmosphere.

The food itself was very interesting and definitely unique! The foe gras was a good combination and a must try dish for sure! The highlight though was the quality of service from the owner! He took pains to make us feel comfortable and even gave us a taster for a dish which we had ordered but he wasn't sure if we'd like! He even gave us free desserts at the end of our meal, all of which definitely elevated the dining experience to the next level! Definitely must go during your tapas crawl!

Loved our visits to Taberna La Concha. The atmosphere, food and drink (especially the vermut) was fantastic. Was great for our family of 5 and catered well for Gluten Free also. Definitely recommend and will return when next in Madrid.

Wonderful vermouth, the Manuela cocktail is great and we bought a bottle of the house vermouth to take home and try to replicate it ourselves (I'm sure it won't be as good!). Love the decor and atmosphere and the staff were efficient and friendly. We got by fine with our broken Spanish. We came back a few times on our trip as it felt like a chilled out place to go for a drink when a lot of other places shut.

Everything was delicious!! Good portion sizes for tapas. Vermouth was pretty good too! Service was friendly. Highly recommend.

Best Vermú for sure! I saw in a video blog that this place had the best Vermú (Vermut/Vermouth) in Madrid and sure enough, what a wonderful way to prepare this typical cocktail. Spray some Gin into the glass filled with some ice, top it with the house Vermut and finish it with a dash of Campari, and an olive with orange peel. It was spectacular, so much that you need to be careful with how many you drink as it is so smooth (and inexpensive) you will certainly lose count pretty soon! We didn't order food but the couple we ended up sharing a table with did so, and the tapas they ordered look delicious (and they did say food was pretty good). Next time I'll repeat the Vermú but with some of those tapas for sure. This signature drink in this tavern will not disappoint you!

Loved this place! May be our favourite tapas/Vermut bar in Madrid. The house vermouth is beautiful, the service excellent, and the tapas delicious! My only regret is that I didn’t buy a bottle of their vermouth.

If you fancy some razzle and dazzle to your vermut cocktail, this is the place to go! Spritz of gin, house vermut, and a dash of campari on top - it's a joy to see them prepare your drink infront of you! They also serve a nice tapas to get your taste buds going.

Had the plate of anchovies in pesto sauce (€10) - fresh, smooth, and balanced. Great little tapas bar and really warm staff!
