Wow! I have never had a better experience with a car rental agency. Usually there are hidden fees and extra costs. Not here! This is a very honest, independent and upfront agency offering top service. They are timely, friendly and communicative. Pick up and drop off went so smoothly. When possible we will always rent from this company.

I was looking for affordable car hire for two weeks in July for my family trip to Spain and Portugal. I prefer not to use the 'established' car hire companies due to their hidden charges, rip off culture and generally poor customer service so I always try and find a smaller local company if I can.
Fortunately I found José and GoRental.
Now, José doesn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish but between emails using Google translate and booking through the GoRental website we figured it out.
I arrived on the planned date and even though I had to wait for 20 minutes for the office to open, that was okay.
The car came with unlimited mileage, second driver cover and also an ability to drive it into Portugal without supplementary charges which was important since our first week was outside Porto.
There was no pressure to buy extra cover (I always purchase this myself before I leave on holiday to be on the safe side) and even though I might have been confused on the return diesel front, I think I could have returned the car empty, that's okay. (Worth checking with José if you do get a car from him.)
As to the car itself, it was an older Seat estate with 197k on the clock and a few dents and paintwork blemishes on the exterior. None of that bothers me, in fact, as long as the car is roadworthy, which it was, it eliminates all that anxiety with a new car and the fear of marking it.
Fortunately, I didn't have any mishaps during the two weeks, and even though the clutch might have been nearing replacement, the car performed seemlessly in the end and didn't let us down.
I returned the car on Saturday afternoon and after figuring out that no one was coming back to the office at my return time to collect the keys, I parked it around the corner and dropped the keys through the letterbox in the roller shutter at the office.
After a brief email to José to explain what I'd done I got confirmation that was okay and he thanked my for my business.
Just be aware that you may not be getting a new car and if that's what you want this might not be the place for you.
However, for value for money for two week car hire during peak tourist season, customer service from José and his team during booking and easy collection, and just generally a gent to do business with it's 5 stars all the way.
I know if I'm ever in that area again and need a car there's only going to be one company I'll be going to and that's GoRental.
Finally, I also believe that he has a desk at Santiago de Compostela airport as well but for our needs his office in the city was the one we used. It's an easy 15 min walk from the Cathedral.

We are grateful that we found a place like Go Rental in our trip to Spain. We got many troubles getting to Spain due to plane delays and cancellations. However, Go Rental, help us and they accommodate everything to provide us with our car in a timely manner, at the door of the airport. They were very helpful, responsive, and kind. The insurance included in the rental is peace of mind, the unlimited miles a blessing, and the car was in excellent conditions. I will rent with them again if I go back to A Coruña (Santiago)

Great service! I would recommend them because of many reasons: good location, at walking distance to the city center, easy booking and pick up process, as well as a very well maintained car. The insurance covers everything you might need. The exceptions are things one can easily avoid. The owners are nice and customer oriented. I made the booking online 3 months before and nothing has changed in the meanwhile, no surprises when we picked up or left the car and, even more, we got a better car than we booked at the same price.

Very reliable, no hidden fees. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Manuel delivered the car to the Airport when we arrived 6 hours delayed.

E' da oltre mezzo secolo che viaggio per la Spagna e la Go_Rental di Santiago si riconferma sempre la numero uno, con il miglior rapporto qualità-prezzo che si possa inseguire ...se avete la fortuna di trovare un'auto disponibile, non perdete l'occasione.
Consigliatissima, sotto ogni aspetto; le auto non sono sempre nuovissime, ma perfettamente funzionanti e pulitissime; le persone sono serie, affidabili, trasparenti, corrette e disponibili, sempre pronte a venirvi incontro per quanto possibile, compatibilmente con il ragionevole; le procedure burocratiche, infine, non potrebbero essere più veloci ed easy; i prezzi parlano da soli.
Se trovate di meglio segnalatemelo subito, per piacere.

Recomiendo esta empresa 100%. La gestión del alquiler del coche ha sido muy sencilla a través de la web. El precio es fantástico, no hay franquicias, ni fianzas ni letra pequeña en el contrato que te pueda conllevar gastos adicionales y estaba asegurado a todo riesgo que nos dio mucha tranquilidad. El coche elegido estaba impecable y el trato y facilidades que nos dio el personal fue magnífico. Repetiremos con ellos, seguro.

En octubre viajé a Santiago, y tuve que decir que la experiencia fue muy grata. Normalmente uno cuando alquila coches siempre va con la mosca detrás de la oreja esperándose cargos sorpresa, o seguros metidos con calzador y demás...con esta gente, lo que pagas es lo que hay, sin malas prácticas ni nada. Pagas, seguro a todo riesgo y te olvidas de todo y te centras en disfrutar. Recomendadísimos. Ojalá sentéis precedente en el resto del país.

Los muchachos que nos atendieron fueron .uy amables todo rapido y ágil el coche esta impecable y listo para poder conocer esta hermosa galicia que tenemos. Excelente servicio, todo super sencillo. En mi caso llegué al aeropuerto, llamé y ya estaban viniendo. Sin complicaciones, nos dijeron que el seguro que teníamos era a todo riesgo y que no nos preocupáramos por nada, dando la tranquilidad que otras empresas no te dan y mucho menos a este precio. Fantástico.
Tramite rapidísimo, el coche en la puerta del aeropuerto nada más llegar. El chico que con el que tratamos encantador, nos dio consejos, sobre lugares para visitar.... En fin, muy recomendable, si volvemos a Santiago repetiremos con ellos sin duda. De 10!!
